Try again

This book was a jumbled mess. Nothing was cohesive. Details kept changing and there was nothing that resembles a developing relationship whatsoever. This entire book was frustrating from the beginning. He kidnapped her for the sole purpose of figuring out what's wrong with him but doesn't mention it until half way through the book. They'll be in a room at the end of one paragraph but at the beginning of the next their in a car going somewhere. In the beginning his nonna was just some random woman he attached himself to but again a paragraph later she's his father's mother. I could continue the list of crazy discrepancies but that's basically the entire book. I had high hopes because the first book was well done but after this mess I refuse to finish the series and possibly anything else this author does.

What do you get when you mix a morally Gray psychiatrist using her position to "help" her inmate patients and a Mafia boss/Famiglia Don who is absolutely deranged and obsessed with her?

I'll tell you what you get, nonstop no holds craziness that has everything my little dark romance loving heart could possibly want.

Kidnapping, Blackmail, Power play, and so much more. Highly suggest you read the triggers/warning with this book because it's a 4/5 on the dark meter for me.

This was my first Mafia romance and it definitely will not be my last!! Especially with #3 in the Caputo Crime family series coming soon!

Just No

I’m a fan of dark romance and I know it can get twisted, but I quickly grew weary of the back and forth of the main character. One minute she hates Ricardo and wants out. The next, she can’t get naked fast enough and she wants to know if he cares about her. Then she’s cool with Sebastian and wants to help. Yet she doesn’t tell him he’s condition until 32 chapters in. The storyline seemed to drag on and on and I couldn’t keep up with the emotional roller coaster and some of the chapters didn’t seem cohesive. I stopped reading it. I couldn’t take it anymore.

great

This was about Mya. She was a therapist that was helping Silas’ wife. He was trying to get Mya to Italy so she could see his wife in person. She refused because she had her practice there. Well Silas’ brother Sebastian had other ideas. He went to the states and took her. She woke up in Italy. He told her that he knew what she was up to and he blackmailed her into staying and marrying him. She wasn’t happy about it but she stayed and she ended up falling in love with him.

Horrible

This was absolutely terrible. She was kidnapped, drugged, and raped by a man with multiple personalities. She couldn't do anything they blackmailed her and continuously raped her. Yet you had her fall in love and impregnated by such a man. One personality by day one by night. I had to keep flipping pages due to how horrible it was. I kept hoping it would get better. Maybe he would find help. I love dark romance, but unfortunately, you missed the mark with this one.

OMG this book! It was captivating, invigorating, and perfectly dark! You'll want to make sure your schedule for the day is cleared, because once you start reading, you will NOT be able to stop until you finish!

When I began this series, I was skeptical, just because it was a different type of book than I'm used to. However, I read both of the books in this series pretty quickly and am looking forward to the third. Kept my interest and was a fast read.

Blackmailed to the altar

There was some really good and interesting mental health representation. I really enjoyed the twists and turns. There was a lot going on but it came together really well.

DNF!

I had to DNF it, the writing was all over the place and you never knew where they were in terms of if they were at the house or in a store. they just magically appeared in those places with no context. also time was weird and seemed to be moving fast but would it had only been week

Not for me

I was bored about 30% in and started skimming, there seem to be a lot of nonsense added just to make a word count. Little character development.

I have read both of the books in this series and I am looking forward to the third. This one loses a star just because I think it is a bit long.
