Responsibility should be limited by chance meetings.

This is the story of an individual that is out celebrating and meets someone by chance. Dave Riggler takes personal responsibility for a stranger, which can have repercussions for many of us.

This is a very good short story. It will give the reader room to think about the plot, and how far responsibility for the actions of others really extends. Perhaps some will see themselves in this story. Others will see their family or their friends. While the story can be entertaining, it is a serious problem for many of us. How far should we feel responsibility for strangers? Is a stranger simply a friend we have not met yet?

If the author wanted to make the reader think about his subject, that goal has been met. This is a great way to allow the reader to decide for themselves what decisions they would make. Put yourself in Dave's place as you read the book.

I can easily recommend this book to modern readers. It does give room to think about our own lives, as well as provide a basis for discussion of personal responsibility. Having read this book, I picked up two more of this authors short stories to read. I appreciate the idea that he is willing to write down those things that I have often thought about.
