When you meet a charming stranger at a Christmas festival, it feels like a holiday wish come true. I mean, come on—handsome guy, thriving Christmas shop, and a happily ever after practically gift-wrapped!
But as it turns out, my dashing Prince Charming isn’t all mistletoe and magic. Nope, he’s a big-city exec with a plan to snatch my shop right out from under me. Now, it’s war with Jasper Reynolds—no matter how swoon-worthy his smile is, or how mind-blowing that kiss was, I’m not selling. Not even to him.
Until he offers me something I can’t refuse…
*Peppermint and Candy Canes is a delightful holiday romance where two supposed enemies discover that this holiday season, love is just a heartbeat away.
Candy is doing her usual stint at the Christmas festival selling her handmade goods and ornaments. When one day a charming stranger comes along and accidentally breaks one of her ornaments. They start to get closer and feel a mutual attraction yet unbeknownst to Candy Jasper isn't just there for a stroll through the Christmas markets. He is in fact a high powered exec on a mission to acquire her shop for a takeover for his boss that will enable him to secure a promotion. When he realises it's her shop he has to buy he is torn as this job means he can look after his younger brother and start a new life, but what of his new life just starting with Candy? This could ruin everything. A touching, sweet festive romance.
Love these Snowflake Village Christmas shorts. Jasper and Candy are supposed enemies. Jasper who is sent to do acquisition, doesn’t want to be the one who ruins Candy’s dreams. Love the community where everyone looks out for one another. Reader almost can smell pine and cinnamon when reading the book. Loved characters who follow their dreams, can find new dreams, make life changing decisions and experience challenges. Candy trusted that their future together is worth the risk.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
While I did appreciate the cleanliness, it was so cringey and painful. Also, I get that it was a novella, but it was still too insta-lovey for me. Would you really sell your business and move to Chicago for a man you’ve known for 3 days?

⭐️⭐️: Another cute, festive themed book BUT the plot feels too close to the second book in this series, Tinsel and Twirls, and just a tad unoriginal. Also- who would chose to live in Chicago over Snowflake Village? Mind-blowing.
Peppermint and Candy Canes (Snowflake Village Christmas Shorts) by Em Tate – This city slicker has a lot to learn about the joys of small town girls! Happy Holiday Reading!
Peppermint and Candy Canes by Em Tate is a light, festive read that captures the cozy spirit of the holidays. The setting is charming, and the Christmas atmosphere was easily my favorite part of the story.
While I enjoyed the seasonal vibes, the story itself felt a bit too brief and surface-level for my taste. The characters were sweet, but I didn’t quite get enough time with them to fully connect or feel the emotional payoff. The romance was easy and predictable, which may work well for readers looking for something very simple and comforting.
Overall, this is a quick, clean holiday romance that could be a nice pick for someone wanting a short, low-stakes Christmas read. It just didn’t have enough depth to fully win me over. 🎄📖
