Cam Hacker is too dangerous to date. Good thing we're only pretending.
Maybe I shouldn't admit it, but after ending my nine-year relationship, I have no idea who I am anymore. So, I’ve decided to rediscover myself using a list of things I’ve never done before. Step one: Break up with that jerk. Check. Step two: Move to Palm Springs. Check.
Now, I’m working on step three: Figure out what comes next—when, of course, my ex gets engaged to the woman he cheated on me with. So, naturally, I take the high road…by fake dating his favorite motorcycle racer—who also happens to be my impossibly sexy new roommate.
Sadie Winslow agreed to be my pretend girlfriend. Honestly, I must be the luckiest guy alive.
Ten years ago, a viral video of me winning a street race in nothing but my helmet and boots made me an overnight sensation. Using my reputation as The Race Naked Guy to fund my career worked—until it didn’t.
Now, I need to clean up my act if I want to race next year. Fortunately for me, my adorable, ray-of-sunshine roomie is more than willing to help. Acting like we're a couple? Easy. Keeping it strictly pretend? That's going to be the real challenge.
Revved Up & Ready is a spicy, fake-dating roommates romantic comedy with no third act break-up. Intended for 18+
Jasmine Grace writes sweet and spicy escapist love stories filled with all her favorite things and none of her pet-peeves. You will find Forced Proximity and He Falls First tropes in most of her stories, and you will not find a third act break-up or a miscommunication trope in any of them.
She lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband, Gary, stepdaughter Sophia, and their two dogs, Banjo and Shadow
Hands down, this has to be my favorite book in this series by this author. Cam is everything in a book boyfriend! He was sprung on Sadie when he met her, and now that she's single and dealing with the break up, he offers to be her roommate. They are so chill together. He wants to learn everything there is about her, and when he finds out, she kinda wants revenge against her ex for wasting her time and cheating on her. He wants to fake a relationship and for his sponsors. But he's not faking anything.
Sadie has her list that she checks off stuff, and I love that he is helping her with it and adding stuff. He's also wondering why her dislike for motorcycles, and im glad she took her time telling him even if she goes to his race and has a panic attack. I love that he was always putting her feelings first, and their "fake" relationship turned real. And I'm glad they both got what they wanted.
Saftey-we see past, and she's with the ex. Nothing happens. The ex was a douche. Mmc said he had a manwhore past but wasn't shown. Just mentioned even if he didn't act like one.
No ow/tiny om drama (the ex), no cheating, secondary characters, drama, sexy times, no virgins
Recommend-yes Cover-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Heat level-🌶🌶.5
Slowinsta Alcohol consumption Anxiety (attack on page) Injuries Force proximity Motorcycle crashes No third act breakup Praise kink No condom Hea Epilogue
Thanks to Darlene’s review for prodding me to continue this series. I read book 1 and enjoyed it, but I liked this third book in the series significantly more. The author says that it’s meant to be low angst and it’s definitely a lighter overall read that still has meat to it in the character development. Plus no third act breakup.
Sadie (h) and Cam (H) are introduced at first through, at times fun and others emotional, flashbacks that set the stage for their characters. This is well-done since the story is both character and relationship driven in a lovely way. Cam in particular is a fantastic main and 110% book boyfriend material. Sadie’s a sweetheart, though I had a harder time connecting with her as she struggled to heal from a decade of a bad relationship beating at her sense of self. Sadie’s pure sunshine though and Cam’s a lil bit wild, they’re a great pairing.
Written in first person, dual POV. No ow drama, small om drama from h’s ex, and both are experienced. H was a manwhore when he was younger and has had trouble shedding that reputation, though he hasn’t been that way in a bit, and nothing is seen on page, even in the flashbacks. There are a couple where he encounters the h and is smitten with her right away. The h had only been with the ex and he wasn’t exactly a giving guy.
Some tropes/themes: ☆ Forced proximity - roommates ☆ Fake dating (but was it really ever fake?) ☆ Devoted MMC showing her what a GOOD boyfriend is ☆ FMC with a list to challenge herself personally ☆ Casual weed usage ☆ Motorcycle racing ☆ Supportive friend group who also call them on their shit ☆ Recollections of trauma related to a motorcycle accident ☆ Anxiety rep/panic attack on page ☆ Cute animal sidekicks ☆ Baking ☆ Matching tattoos
Sadie’s trying to move past the ending of her relationship and Cam is attempting to change his reputation and move beyond the reckless persona that’s funded his motorcycle racing so he can get a legit sponsor. They’ve just become new roommates and almost immediately add in a fake dating component. Except it never feels fake to Cam since he’s crazy about Sadie from the start and it just takes some time for her to open up to him and to see that they could work as a real couple.
I loved the slow build-up of them connecting as friends to falling in love. Cam challenged Sadie and supported her, always being in her corner, even when she wasn’t ready to be upfront with him. At times Sadie tried to gloss over certain things or bury her head in the sand, but eventually she faced tough talks and hard situations. I wouldn’t say that this was a hard-fought HEA but both characters put in the emotional work to be each other’s safe space I guess. Plus, their physical chemistry was hot and once they added that level of intimacy to their growing emotional intimacy, things really got going. There are several spicy scenes and Sadie learns that Cam is nothing like her douche of an ex.
I found the racing scenes of the story fascinating since this isn’t an area that I have any familiarity with. Sadie was less fascinated since she has anxiety related to bikes unfortunately and I wasn’t sure how that was going to be resolved. There was one scene that was especially heartfelt as Cam gave her all the attention and care while they talked through her fears and his passion.
Loved their friend group and it was fun seeing the couple from book 1 so connected when they’d had some angst getting to their own HEA in their book. All the animal companions make this an animal sidekick happy read too. I do wish that we’d seen Sadie reunited with her family on page, but thankfully we get some good mentions of that healing too. There’s a tiny hint at the couple for the next book from this friend group as well.
Since there’s no third act breakup, the final act of the book is them making their relationship real, overcoming all their challenges, and getting to their HEA. There are a couple of jump ahead scenes for the epilogues that were adorable and the final one made my heart swell up, even though it had just the tiniest mention of what their family life was like at that point. I had such a good time with this one and I’m continuing to keep an eye on what this author releases.
Round of frickin applause for Jasmine Grace everyone, she gets better and better and better every book and with each release my expectations are blown out of the water. I mean honestly it shouldn’t even be a surprise at this point. Id read anything this woman writes idc if it’s a book or a grocery list. And Cameron Hacker ladies and gentlemen???? JUST MY TYPE GIMME 14 OF EM.
If you look at my reviews for the rest of this series, you will see me begging for Sadie and Cam, I have needed them to get together from the second they appeared in Voyeur Cafe, and this was absolutely worth the wait! I've loved the entire series but Jasmine absolutely nailed it with this one. I could have read another 500 pages of them together. The coffee, the tattoos, the kisses, I don't remember the last time I kicked my feet so much 🥰
I have had the honor to ARC read all three books in this series. Jasmine’s first book, Voyeur Cafe got me out of the worst reading slump. Revved up and Ready, once again was devoured in a weekend. Cam and Sadie are the cutest thing to ever happen. Fake dating, motorcycle racing and cookie baking! If you want a book that not only gives you all the feels, that you can read on a trip, to get out of a slump or just to make you have all the butterflies things the perfect book (series).
I really wish I could read these all again for the first time.
This was such and amazing read. Loved every second of it. Full review to come once I can gather my thoughts
FULL REVIEW ————————
Once again, Jasmine amazes me with one of the easiest writing to read. This book was like a ball of happiness. I couldn’t stop laughing, giggling, kicking my feet and wishing I had a guy like cam in my life (IYKYK)
Cam is a professional motorcycle racer and Sadie is the girl who’s scared by bikes and the danger of riding one. I loved how they navigated her fears and his passion for racing while still taking into consideration each others feelings.
Cam and Sadie started off as roommates and then it evolved into fake dating but the both are obsessed with each other and it quickly became not so fake, but was it ever really fake to begin with ?
Their relationship had me smiling the whole time, it’s the perfect mix of tension, banter, spice and cute moments.
And the fact that we don’t have to go through an unnecessary third act break up only makes it better.

Revved Up and Ready by Jasmine Grace is about Sadie and Cam who end up being roommates and start fake dating.
I was excited for this book as soon as we met this two in the first one. Cam is a professional motorcycle racer, who’s funny and wants his girl (Sadie) to be happy! Sadie moved to Palm Springs to start fresh and find herself again.
I really enjoyed the tension and banter between this two! It was lovely how Cam helped Sadie out to cross off somethings from her „Sadie’s list of things she’s never done“. The parts where Sadie had to get over her anxiety to support Cam‘s motorcycle racing added more depth to the story and it showed how important both of them are for one another. It was lovely how much support and love they showed each other.
Even though there were some serious topics this book made me laugh and Jasmines writing is as always so easy to follow that everything flows perfectly while reading! Another great thing is that there wasn’t a third act break up! AND the Tattour ? chefs kiss!!
Repeating myself in each review in this series but it was really nice reading about all the other couples again and seeing their friendship in this book!
ANOTHA ONE. I love Sadie. I love Cam. I love Jasmine Grace. I’ve been looking forward to these two since their first mentions in previous books and boy did they deliver! Fun low stakes read that (despite my best efforts to savor it) I knocked out in a day.
Picture this: Recently single and trying to get her life back in order, Sadie agrees to let Cam move in as her roommate. Now what’s so special about Cam you ask? Well he races motorcycles and he’s got charisma off the charts. Oh and also they decide that it would benefit both of them to fake date (has this trope ever happened in real life? Either way love it) except YOU GUESSED IT there’s nothing fake about this. We love love we loved the journey. 5 stars.
I have been so ready for Sadie and Cam’s story and I am so excited I got to read an ARC copy of it! It started off so strong with roommates, fake dating, so much banter and cuteness and then got a bit serious with Sadie trying to work through some serious anxiety while also supporting Cam’s very anxiety inducing way of life. This was so good! I love how well Sadie and Cam fit each other and bring out the best in each other, I love their friend group and how everyone is just so supportive. I’m also a giant fan of the fact there’s no third act breakups!
* * * **Spoiler** I loved that despite Sadie’s intense anxiety about Cam’s racing, and him offering to quit for her, she still told him no and encouraged him to keep doing what he loves. It’s such an integral part of him and he wouldn’t be the same giving it up and I love that she recognizes that and couldn’t possibly make him stop.

I have been waiting for Cam & Sadie!! Jasmine Grace did not disappoint with this third book. It had everything. Banter, spice, laugh out loud moments, and sweet moments. This was such a fun read for me. Cam is just the sweetest and most laid back guy which made him perfect for Sadie with her insecurities and soft demeanor. I absolutely love this series, especially this book.
This is the third book in the Heartbeats in the Heat series, but can be read as an interconnected stand-alone.
Cam Hacker has a bit of a reputation after a video of him winning a motorcycle race in nothing but his helmet and boots went viral a decade ago, and unfortunately, if he wants to move up in his racing career, his reputation needs an overhaul. Fortunately through friends, he's met Sadie Winslow, and is now her new roommate. After hearing some particularly frustrating news about her ex, Cam proposes that the two start fake dating because it would help his image with race teams, and give Sadie's ex some just desserts. Acting like a couple comes easily to the duo, but the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to pretend it's all just for show.
This is such a fun series, and I loved that it is low-stakes, funny, and has a happy ending. Cam and Sadie perfectly complemented each other, and I love how their pasts were so cleverly woven together. Cam is accurately described as the class clown, but you can definitely tell that he has tamped down on his wild side and is ready for a real relationship. Sadie is such a sweetheart and I was so proud of the fact that she took charge of her life by making changes and continuing to seek out new experiences even if it scares her. Cam was so supportive of Sadie, and Sadie brings out the sweet side of Cam. There are some spicy scenes, but they work well with the overall plot and act as a great foil to the all of the soft scenes.
Overall, a very fun story with lovable characters (including the cutest cast of pet friends ever that you'll like if you enjoy roommates to lovers, fake dating, found family, and riding it like you stole it.
I’ve been reading Jasmine Grace’s “Heartbeats in the Heat” standalone series since last year, and this has been my favorite one yet!
If you’re new to her writing, especially this series, it’s main goal is to create a romantic escape from reality without the need for high-angst or “third-act breakup”tropes; which is quite common for romance books.
Reeved up & Ready follows a pair of characters introduced to readers in her other two books. Even though I would highly recommend reading the first two to get the full experience, it would totally be able to be read on its own and you’d enjoy the hell out of it.
I loved Cam and Sadie on a SPIRITUAL level. I felt as though the couples in the first two books really played off of a “opposites attract” kind of dynamic, but this couple was alike in so many way.
Goofy, funny, ambitious - it felt like a personal experience to be able to watch the ebb and flow of Cam and Sadie’s relationship. I don’t want to spoil too much, but watching their connection grow and change throughout the timeline of the story was such a rewarding feeling by the time to book ended.
You fall so much in love with them that by the time you finish I already want to read it again. Another 5 stars for Jasmine - the book is not even out yet and I want the next one!
Jasmine Grace’s Revved Up & Ready is truly a standout work of art that has most definitely earned a spot among my all-time favorite reads. This romance novel shines as a “he falls first” story, a trope I absolutely adore. 🥰 The male main character (MMC) is not only charming and quirky but also incredibly funny, bringing humor and warmth to the story. His devotion to the female main character (FMC) is heartfelt, especially in how he supports her severe anxiety, PTSD, and strives to treat her better than anyone ever has before.
The book features several beloved tropes, including fake dating, roommates-to-lovers, and rather than a sunshine and grumpy mix these two are definitely sunshine and sunshine mix! It’s a heartwarming, feel-good romance that doesn’t keep you up until 4am crying through 20 breakups in 4 chapters. Instead, it offers a sweet, steady love story that’s guaranteed to leave you smiling. (And maybe crying happy tears)
Jasmine Grace’s talent for writing is undeniable, and I can’t wait to explore more of her work. Revved Up & Ready is a must-read for fans of lighthearted romance with plenty of laughs and tender moments, and NEVER forget the spice! 🌶️🥵💋
I’m so pleased I saved this book to be my first read of the year, I loved every moment😭 These books fill me with so much joy
I’ve been so excited for Cam and Sadie’s book and it didn’t disappoint, I love every single book in this series but this one is now my favourite! These two are absolutely adorable together and I just love how much they laugh and are just so happy around each other.
Cam is so charming, caring and just the happiest guy ever! Sadie is always his first thought, he helps he tick off items from her ‘never done before’ list and I just adore his love for her. Nothing does this man justice!!
Obsessed with the fact that he has a tattoo of her without even realising then adds pink to it to match her hair😭😭
Sadie is the absolute cutest, I love that she started a new life for herself and even though she’s had a tough time she’s just such a happy person. One of my favourite FMCs that i’ve read for a while!
Shout out to Boo the cat🫶🏻
I can’t wait for my fave Bea and Teddy🥹
Thank you for the ARC Jasmine, I love getting to be a part of your team💕
Revved Up & Ready by Jasmine Grace is the third book in the Heartbeats in the Heat series! These books are set in Palm Springs and center best friends who find their happily ever afters! I have been following this series from the start, so I loved this third and final book.
Sadie finally dumped her terrible long-term boyfriend and rebuilt her self-esteem and confidence, and I loved that Cam wanted to be a part of that process. This book has all of the giggling and feet-kicking moments and all of the spice! Jasmine Grace has a knack for writing sweet and hot rom-coms that are easy and quick to read! Cam suggesting they "fake date" to make her ex jealous was amazing, and his later confession of it never being fake for him melted my heart. The banter and chemistry were evenly matched by the confessions to only each other and the trust that they immediately felt.
If you haven't read Jasmine Grace's books, they need to be on your TBR for 2025! Revved Up & Ready comes out on January 16th and is a fun, flirty fake dating rom-com that you will not be disappointed you read.
Tropes: Fake Dating Roommates to Lovers Tattooed Motorcycle Racer MMC Rebuilding Her Life After a Breakup FMC Found Family He Falls First Forced Proximity No 3rd Act Breakup
I absolutely love this series!! Cam & Sadie are book # 3. Make sure you read the first 2. Although not necessary, it's highly recommended.
Cam. Cam. Cam. What the heck. I did not anticipate such golden retriever energy out of him. This motorcycle racing, tattoo obsessed, bad ass mofo - is a secret softie!!! He's absolutely adorable. The way that he cares for Sadie's feelings, wants, desires, goals, and fears is truly top-tier book boyfriend material.
Sadie is just the sweetest!!! Her *to-do* list is the best thing ever. It was such a fun plot line. I was excited every single time she checked something off of her list. The way that she evolved from being so timid & shy in the early part of the book to such a strong woman by the end was beautiful.
So I loved the scene where Cam removes his race uniform after an extremely scary event, with the sole purpose of easing Sadie's fear.
I absolutely love the moment Sadie realizes the truth behind his pin-up tattoo.
This book is just so fun. I can't wait for you all to read it.
Oh my goodness. Where do I even begin?? I absolutely love love loved this book. Cam’s sense of humor reminds me so much of my husband’s goofiness. And he is SO FREAKING SWEET. I am obsessed with him.
Sadie grew so much throughout the story and I’m so proud of her 🥲 I admire her list of things she’s never done. I might need to make one of those for myself! I love Cam and Sadie together and I knew they’d be perfect for each other!
This book made me feel all the things from giggling and kicking my feet to crying. It’s always nice seeing Allie, Luke, Devon, Rhett and Bea again too! I’m excited for Bea’s story next.

I binged this in one sitting and couldn’t put it down!! I absolutely loved this book so much! I laughed and giggled the entire time I was reading!
Sadie just got out a 9 year long relationship and Cam needs to clean up his imagine… the solution to their problem… to fake date.
I loved Cam and Sadie’s story so much! I was really looking forward to their love story and this was everything I wanted for them! There was so much banter and tension! The chemistry between them was 🔥

Thank you to Jasmine Grace for the advance readers copy in exchange for my honest review!
JASMINEEEEE MF GRACCCCEEEEEE. UGHHHHHHH. KEEP CRANKING THESE THINGS OUT!!! I NEEED THEEMMMMM!!!!
I will scream it from the rooftops that she and Emily Henry are probably the only two romance girlies I can stand to finish without rolling my eyes. I DEVOUR both of their works!!
I never expect to fall so hard for her characters but she gets me every time. The low angst is what really sells it for me. I know what I’m going to get and I know I’m going to love it.
I’m so, so excited to see where she takes this series. I can’t wait to see what other directions she’ll go. I’m just so excited for her and, in turn, excited for myself to have reliable books I know won’t disappoint. 😌
I love Jasmine Grace and have been waiting patiently for Sadie and Cam's book. These two are adorable together, she's a little quieter, gentler, and he's brash and brazen and wild, but they bring out the best in one another. He's more than a golden retriever, more like a yellow lab, friendly to the point of being a danger to himself or others, but lovable despite any of that. I enjoyed the anxiety representation, the fake dating was a little unnecessary considering they could have ACTUALLY just dated, but it was a long play on his end that worked out. I'm still biased in loving Luke and Allie, but Sadie and Cam are so close to taking that. They are sweet to one another while pushing comfort zones supportively, their chemistry is off the charts, their friends don't really even question them because they just CLICK and it's so. damn. cute. I love them.
Well folks she did it again. This series is just so damn cute and sexy. She writes a great rom com. I was waiting for Cam and Sadie’s story since they first appeared in the series and it did not disappoint. If you’re someone who has been taken for granted, cheated on, or stayed in a relationship too long, I think you’ll really relate to Sadie. We get to see her move through the end of a long relationship and work through some old issues and emotions all while having fun with Cam. Somehow he is the class clown, the cutest freaking cinnamon roll bf, and a little bit bad boy all wrapped in the cutest package at the same time. Can I also say, I think it’s adorable that Cam is a redhead? About time we had an adorable ginger MMC.
This book starts out with content warnings/author note which I love love love. You know enough about what you're getting into to decide if you really want to get into it.
I really appreciated the way the anxiety stuff was written. As an anxious gal, it felt so accurate. There is spice and the spice is so good. I would still consider this a book with spice rather than a spicy book.
Revved Up & Ready is seriously so adorable. The author describes it as a Ooey Gooey Romance and I think that is a great description. Of course there's tension and drama, things all books kind of need. But the tension and drama is very minimal, making this a great light and happy read.
To all my anxious girlies out there, I pray a lover like Cam finds you.
Revved Up & Ready is the third in the Heartbeats in the Heat series, and arguably my favorite. This spicy rom com features fake dating, roommates to lovers, and the most relatable anxiety rep FMC & golden retriever MMC. Sadie’s journey out of her bad relationship & comfort zone is perfect with her Try It list, and Cam’s willingness to do anything to be close and supportive was so swoon worthy. Revved Up and Ready releases January 16th, so make sure and read (or reread 😉) Voyeur Cafe & How Dare You to be fully immersed in Palm Springs 🌴🌵☀️
This book had me giggling and kicking my feet. It’s not too long so by the time the plot really took off I was deep into the book. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars from me is because of the FMCs stones to not talk to MMC about issues she had, until her friends made it clear she needed to talk to him. Miscommunication by choice is one of my last favorite tropes BUT it doesn’t take away much from this book for me.
Very well written and pacing was still very good for it being a slow burn. I’ve already recommended this series to a ton of people but now that I’ve completed what’s released, I definitely won’t be stopping anytime soon!!
What a bloody joy to read, I loved every minute of this.
Fun flirty hot and spicy with great banter and warm likeable MC
Sadie has gone through a breakup and wants to start living for herself, she even has a ‘try it’ list of things she wants to work through
Can is a motorbike racer whose fuckboy attitude is now holding him back and he thinks ‘fake dating’ Sadie would help them both….but can they really have the most undeniable chemistry and still think it’s fake?!
Highly recommend all books in this series but this one is hands down my favourite
BAH where to begin??? I loved this whole series, but enjoyed this book a little extra. I have a total soft spot for gingers, and tattoos, so it’s only natural that this was my favorite. I couldn’t relate to Sadie, but that didn’t end up impacting how much I liked the book! I don’t know if it’s the fact he doesn’t end up crashing his bike, the way they don’t break up, or the satisfaction I managed to have while reading this, even though the amount of conflict was low (which sometimes has me bored), but I loved this book!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I love this series so much. I stayed up super late to read this in one sitting. Cam and Sadie are so sweet together. He's so patient at first because Sadie still has so much to move on from with her ex. He helps Sadie blossom into the amazing woman he knew she was always supposed to be.
I love that while there are moments of conflict, there's no 3rd act break up. They talk things through like healthy normal adults.
I cannot wait for book 4 and I want to read them all, all over again. So so good.
I truly think this series is just getting better and better. It is incredibly rare for me to enjoy a full interconnected series because I get super annoyed with characters very easily, but this has been an exception. After I finished book two I thought there was no way I could like a couple more than Devon and Rhett, but I was so wrong. Cam is suuuuuch a dream. From beginning to end. Sadie is such a sweetheart, and even her naive moments did not annoy me like they would usually. I love these two so much.
