May 1945. Hitler is dead. Berlin is in ruins. The war in Europe is about to end.
In the small town of Wismar, a tense situation leads to Canadian and Soviet forces exchanging fire. Josef Stalin, the USSR’s paranoid leader, believes this is the prelude to a full-scale attack by the Western Allies. But he strikes first, turning the full fury of the Red Army against the Americans and British.
The Western Allies wage a desperate battle to prevent the Continent from falling under the nightmarish rule of another dictator. New tactics are employed, guerilla bands launch raids deep inside enemy territory, and President Harry Truman and Prime Minister Winston Churchill are forced to do the unthinkable . . . join forces with their former enemy.
But will that be enough to stop the Soviet juggernaut?
This is an excellent alternate history novel. The characters are well developed and relatable. The politicians are all to prone to act like politicians instead of being leaders. The generals behave like their real life examples and for the most part the choices of the characters make sense in the context of the story. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
What if the Russians didn't stop at Berlin? What if an accidental shot started WW 3, or is it WW II part 2? The action and characters are exceptionally written. Blood and Guts Patton is alive and fighting the Commies like he always wanted. Marshal Zukov commands one of the largest armies in history. Who wins? We have to wait for the conclusion. I know I look forward to reading it.
An interesting read. Would have been 5* but for the repetition and numerous typos. Oh, and finding out on the last page that it was only book 1. So I have to get the second soon! The action scenes were fast paced and I was flying through them. A lot of not-common-knowledge accurate descriptions of weapons and tactics, people and locations. Loved that he worked Galland into the story! Definitely a fun read and (so far) an interesting alternate history of WWII. 👍

This is a exciting action packed novel, and the author seems to have done his homework with respect to the weapons used in World War II. There’s not much character development, but who needs that, when you’re interested in battles, one on one combat, and descriptions of armies on the move. All in all, an interesting book when you’ll probably finish in a couple days.
The premise of a shooting accident followed by an enraged psycho Stalin Ordering a war with west is quite a what if
I do question through the idea of troops moved from Pacific seems if such were to occur some would have gone into Russia's far east taking lands and moving USA Air into Russia but then there's more in the series to see
The author did a job at weaving the storyline of several minor characters together and not demonizing the opposition and I liked the accurate use of dates between scenes.
This is an awesome book of what if it really happened
I am a kindle unlimited user so I read it for free but even if I actually paid it would be worth every penny, what a great story can't wait to read more from the author.
This book will hold your attention sometimes writers try too hard to make up the impossible. I believe that the actions in the book was very possible made great reading
Really liked this book, good plot and character building, nice touch of alternate history, good battle descriptions and liked how we used the German army
