About the author

Marcie Driessen is a chronically ill artist from the Netherlands. She grew up in a small village in the woods where she spent most of her time reading and drawing, or on her good days, exploring the forest and marsh near her house. When creating art, she finds inspiration in the things that bring her joy, including the little creatures she visited in the marsh. Most often she works with traditional art supplies of pencils, pens, ink, watercolor paints, and markers. In 2018, she started her Instagram account (@marcies_art), and a year later, she opened her Etsy shop (@MarciesArtPlace) where she sells stickers, art prints, and mystery bags. Marcie’s Art is now her brand that allows her to show her art to the world. She also loves to hike and play board games.

Disclaimer: Since I am an artist myself I use this book for inspiration on the subject matter.
But I am sure that it can be a motivating resource for beginners that want to learn because the steps are illustrated in very small increments.

There is plenty of inspiration to find here! This is the perfect book to have on your coffee table for spooky season.
Marcie's world is delightful and whimsical. All the adorable characters seem alive and it is a joy to see them enjoying various seasonal activities.
