My Review
: I think Eric Huang has serious storytelling chops. I hope like hell everyone with kids in their lives who live in book-banning places will invest $20 with shipping to send them this guide to what #PrideMonth means, why it matters to have it, and what fun it can be to learn about it and celebrate it. All five stars to him and to the fun illustations' creator, Amy Phelps.

I love the family presented here, I'm totally down with the disability rep, I think making Pride a true family affair is exactly the right tack to take because it focuses on the h8rs' stated hatred of queerness to expose it as incorrect.

Please use this small, small part of your income to support the self-worth of a kid in need.

Cute and informative children's book to explain what pride is about and how it started back in the day. Very cute drawings and easy story telling to get children informed about pride.

The first part of the book is sort of a comic while the second part is all information. Might need a small update as things are currently not so great in Hungary and it is used as an example in the book.

It also gets creative for kids to use during arts and crafts fun and baking fun which I thought was a cute added bonus.

There is a cute game at the end to see how much you've remembered from the book. All in all a fun, interesting and inclusive read.

An ARC was provided to me via Edelweiss in return of an honest review.

Readers accompany Brian, his two fathers, and various friends to a Pride parade. The accessible text, positivity, and bright colors in the artwork make reading this introduction to Pride a positive experience. There are several different flags featured there and a diverse collection of attendees. One of the dads even has a hearing aid. Back matter includes information about Pride's history, the Pride flag--although it might be helpful to explain the evolution of the flag from eight to six colors. Interestingly, for Brian, much of the importance of friendship bracelets and clothing is stressed. Since the story is told from Brian's perspective, there is a childlike quality to the text that makes it all the more relatable.

Read via an online reader. A nice book that introduces the subject of family and friends within a found community. The extras at the end allow for all ages, but the story itself is fro the slightly younger reader/listener.
