In the first story, a couple discovers believing in superstitions not only can save someone they love but can also bring a relationship full circle. Chloe's mother is in bad health, and she will do anything to save her...including an old ritual her close friend, Nick, has trouble believing can do anything to help. Despite his misgivings, he accompanies Chloe to a spooky church yard in the dead of night and makes a shocking discovery. In the second story, Sara laughs at tan old lady's warning as she saunters through the carnival, but once she arrives home, she gets a terrifying visit from something not of this world. Sara's experience teaches her it's always a good idea to listen to your elders.
