What do you think?

Get What You Need #1
One Night Hand Stand
Who accidentally has a one-night stand with her yoga instructor?
Yep. Me.
How did I accidentally sleep with someone, right? I know what you’re thinking. Whoops! I slipped and inadvertently inserted Tab A into Slot B.
That’s not quite how it went.
But my yoga instructor is really, really skilled with Tab A, if you know what I mean.
Slot B never had it so good.
What am I supposed to do now, as I walk into my yoga class and find the guy I ghosted this morning… there, in front of the class, perfectly aligned and grinning at me like he remembers touching all my chakras.
He's perfect. Too perfect. He's so perfect he's ruining my job.
I'm an investigative reporter, working on spec for an article for a national magazine, and my job is to find all the ways this yoga chain is corrupt.
The only thing criminal here is that I can't have him in Slot B ever again. And I would. I'd turn myself into a paper doll book if that's what it took for more of that action.
I want him. He wants me. Nothing I do will make him back off because the chemistry is off the charts.
Except for one pesky little
We’re at cross-purposes.
I need my exposé to get the job of my dreams. He needs to sell his stake in the yoga chain before I expose the corrupt current owner.
That makes him my enemy. My nemesis. The guy I have to get around to get ahead.
And now we’re supposed to hate each other.
But who ever let that get in the way of love?
Yep. Me.

I really wanted to love this one and from the first few sentences, I thought I really would and this would be finally my 5-star book of the year…
…. yeah, I stand corrected on this one…
THE REVIEW:
Right, I’m probably in the minority here, and here comes my unpopular opinion.
This is the story of a girl (Sarah) who meets a boy (Case) in a bar. They hit it off, and lo and behold, they wake up in the same bed the morning after! But wait! It doesn’t end here, no. It turns out they both know who the other person is, just didn’t realise (at least one of them!) at first, but they decide not to reveal this fact to each other. Oh, the plot thickens, with a promise of drama, a lot of drama actually, impossible choices and great, great sex (apparently!).
Sarah is an investigative journalist and is writing a scoop about Prakash, who is the owner of a big yoga company. Case happens to be the owner of a few franchises of Prakash’s studios. So our FMC joins one of those yoga places to snoop around and get the story out, but there is a catch, feelings get involved, people step out with new allegations against Prakash, and the scoop becomes bigger than what she bargained for in the first place… And Case, well, he has his own demons to fight, too (except when he’s not naked, and with Sarah that is…).
Now that this quick recap is out of the way, I really, really liked the beginning of this book. I found Sarah’s character funny and witty, and the banter Case and her had was great. I was really looking forward to more of it throughout the book. I also like Jared and her twin friends and the dog and the little kitten (that got mentioned only a handful of times, as well as her friends, really…)
Their characters were well crafted, and I enjoyed how distinct each one of them was. The writing was approachable and easy to follow, but at times, it felt disjointed and turned into rambling.
The premise was interesting, and it has great potential, but we have pretty much chapters, not pages or paragraphs, but entire chapters of explicit sex scenes that at first I was totally fine with, but the more I read and the further it went, there was nothing else but sex and how “Slot B” wants “Tab A” and how exceptional and amazing it was… I mean, ok, we get it Case is some sex God or something, but the poor plot went out the window and plummeted onto the ground with a loud thud and shattered all over the place… well, this, for me, was a letdown. The whole investigative bit was left out with injections here and there of what is going on beyond the bedsheet covers and the slots and tabs…
I really, really hate it when there is always a misunderstanding thrown in the plot that could easily be solved by just, guess what??? TALKING! Talking to each other and giving a chance to clear the air out by not assuming and not interrupting and for once listening instead of getting angry and walking off because you are told something you don’t like… I see this trope way too often in romance books, the way the characters are portrayed feels like this every single time I swear it’s like Deja Vu:
It’s just so overdone and overused, would it hurt to make them act like grown-ups for a change?!
Overall, I gave this book 3 stars due to the reasons mentioned above. It could have been great had there been less sex more plot and character development.
I still think it is an OK book and that the author has a great sense of humour I just wanted to see it used in a more clever/witty way, like in the beginning of the book.

I haven’t read one of the authors books in a while and I forgot how funny she is! This one made me laugh quite a bit and it also had a swoony love story, and a small mystery as well. Sarah and Case had amazing chemistry and Shane and Samantha really brought that chemistry to life. Those two are always entertaining to listen to and with a playful and sexy story like this, their personalities really shined. Next time you want a light and super fun listen try this one, I had a blast listening to it!

This book started steamy and kept on going! But not just steamy, so much laughing and banter and it kept me turning pages because I had to know how they’d get past all the things between them. There was a ton of fun and hilarious banter, some really clever innuendos, and so much drama with the big obstacle between the two main characters. While it wasn’t a “short” story, it did really only take place over what seemed like a few days/weeks. And honestly, there didn’t really seem to be a way that either of them could win with what they were trying to do without the other one getting hurt. So I do really like the way the author had that all happen and how things were handled in the end. I don’t want to say more, because it will spoil the story for you. There were also a lot of almost epilogues at the end, even if they weren’t epilogues, just the story suddenly moved past those quick few days or weeks into more of how things were being solved and the two of them getting to really know each other past their one night stand which turned into more than one night before it all blew up.
At the end, in her note, the author mentions that while this was meant to be a standalone, Case’s brother-in-law Jared kind of spoke up and gave her ideas for his own book, and I am all there for that!

One night of steam and complications!
Case and Sarah have a blazing one night stand thanks to a third glass of wine.
The connection is quick and fierce between them. Decidedly not a one night thing.
But as they get closer, guilt works on them because of lies of omission.
This one is hot and so funny that people will look at you wondering what you are reading. Tell them! Julia Kent never lets you down when it comes to romance and heat with a side of rib-shaking laughs.

What to Expect:
- One Night Stand
- Mistaken Identity
- Opposites Attract
- Love at First Sight
- Cross Purposes
- Yoga Instructor
- Witty Banter
This was my first book by Julia Kent and if her other books are as funny as this one, I will read them all. One Night Hand Stand had me hooked from the start, and I could not stop laughing. After a night out with her friends, Sarah ends up having a one night stand with Mr. Never Mind. The next morning she plans to forget it all happened and never see him again. When she goes to yoga class, she is surprised to find out Mr. Never Mind is Case, her yoga teacher. He also happens to own the chain of yoga studios she has been tasked with investigating for her next article.
I loved the characters in this story. The chemistry between Sarah and Case was electric, and I couldn't get enough of their banter. Sarah's internal dialogue was hilarious. Case is so sweet and caring. Despite them both keeping secrets from each other, they had a great connection and I was rooting for them. The plot twists and turns were insane, but made this story even more fun. Things went off the rails a bit, but I loved how Sarah and Case found their way back to each other and earned their happy ending.
Narration:
Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East are a superstar narrating duo. They performed this audiobook in dual-style narration, and it was such a fun listen. I loved the accents, and the way Samantha and Shane captured the characters' personalities. Samantha's man voice is simply the best and I will never get over it. Samantha and Shane are top-tier voice actors and it is always a pleasure to listen to their work.
Thanks to Julia Kent, East House Productions, and Must Love Audio for the gifted audiobook. Opinions expressed are my own.

**Audio Review **
Yogis unite! One Night Hand Stand by Julia Kent was a sweet and swoony mistaken identity romance that had me smiling, blushing, and happy sighing from start to finish. Sarah and Case’s one-night stand to forever romance had many heartfelt twists and spicy turns that had me longing for these two to overcome their differences and find true happiness together.
Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East perform this audiobook in dual narration, and I can always count on Eastmoor to deliver an entertaining, good time. Samantha’s light, alluring tone encompassed Sarah’s passions and desires along with her playful side in the bedroom with Case. Not to mention, Samantha’s male British accented growl is always a sexy win! Shane’s deep, posh voice showcased Case’s persistent, charismatic demeanor to care for and love Sarah through all the obstacles they faced. Plus, the steamy, meant-to-be chemistry between these two was HOT right from the start.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of an office romance with a hunky yoga studio owner, a hardworking investigative reporter, a one-night stand, mistaken identity, a tabby cat named Dumpling, reliable besties, restaurant second dates, doughnuts and wine, workplace scandal, career making decisions, speaking your truths, doggy bath steam, love declaration, a twisted climax, and a HEA that was made for tab A and slot B, then you will love Sarah and Case’s story. I always look forward to more from Julia Kent.

After a fun night out with her friends, Sarah has a one night stand and she plans to complete forget Mr. Never Mind ever existed . That is until she shows up to her new yoga class that she is starting to investigate and Mr. Never Mind aka Case, is her yoga teacher and the owner of all the yoga studios under this chain . Case may be sweet and charming but he loves to have endless banter when it comes to the hilarious Sarah and the mistaken identity crisis they are both currently facing . Not to mention there are so many plot twists, turns and things you will never see coming to keep you on your toes the whole time !

One night Hand Stand is an entertaining story where secrets, family drama, sizzling chemistry and one night that starts it all off!
I wholeheartedly devoured this book. It has so many parts that wrap it up into one rather well written story.
I loved the fact that Sarah is the way she is, unapologetically herself. Altho little lies aside she has a heart of gold. But when she meets this certain man with an accent, needless to say the comedic gold comes out!
This man, none other than Case…. Also has something to hide but its a love story like no other I have read. Yes these two hold back certain things but if you know, YOU KNOW, right?
Honestly the storyline is really quite something, it hits home that family and true friendships are important and living life to the fullest should be a priority….. don’t you think? I also think Ms Kent has outdone herself with this book and I desperately feel we need to hear Jareds story too!

I'm a big fan of Julia Kent's and once again, she has delivered an easy fun read with a slice of drama..
Sarah is an investigative journalist who has been tasked with investigating a strong or yoga studios. But it turns out, her one night stand owns some of them. Nothing is straightforward though, he's trying to save himself and his family and she's trying to blow it all apart - how do you overcome that especially when it seems they're both missing parts....
A good read.

It’s been a minute since I’ve read a Julia Kent book and within a few chapters, she was reminding me why I can’t go too long without one of her books again.
It’s something so warm and enveloping about her stories. One Night Hand Stand was no different. It was such a hilariously entertaining read!
The double secret aspect added a little mystery with Sarah and Case both trying to sus each other out. There were so many scenes and sayings that left me in tears. Sarah and Case had banter that was fun and flirty. Their chemistry was hot. I loved watching their one night stand unfold into something instantly undeniable.
I thought Julia did a great job balancing her quirky humor with a very serious topic and seeing people get their well deserved justice is always a good thing.
Oh and that audio. That audio. Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East were chef’s kiss perfection. Sarah’s internal monologues were outrageous in the best way and Samantha's performance only made them funnier. Case’s irresistible charm was only heightened by Shane’s performance. These two were fan freaking tastic and I loved every minute of them bringing Case and Sarah to life.

Case And Sarah
What a conundrum they find themselves in; one night stand, enemies, problem solvers, The One. This well written storyline is both hot and hilarious. I’ll never view doughnuts the same way again. Must read!
I received an advanced copy and this is my honest and voluntary review.

“One Night Hand Stand” is an amusing rom com which uses a ridiculous set up to lead readers into a story with a lot of heart and some genuine dilemmas. I enjoyed it a great deal.
Kent keeps the tone generally light, although both Sarah and Case are facing genuine problems, both as individuals and as a new couple. It’s a fast and easy read, and a lot of fun.
Both Sarah and Case are believable and vivid characters, and I found their relationship believable too. Be warned, this book is quite explicit in places, so if you like G rated romances, this isn’t for you. This novel is warm and loving and sexy, just as a relationship should be.
Kent has a deep back catalog of romantic novels, many of which are rom coms. This novel leans a little less on humor than some of her novels, but there’s still plenty to smile about.
There are serious issues underpinning the antics, including trust in a relationship, ambition, and setting life goals. One of the big challenges for Sarah and Case is learning how to balance their conflicting priorities and goals, and how to discuss them. Kent does cheat a little here in having someone else force a resolution upon them. However, the two find their own path beyond the initial problem.
It’s a stand alone novel – at present. It might be the start of a new series. Who knows? But if you’re new to Kent’s work, the important thing is that it’s completely self contained. There are a few sly references to other books she’s written, but that’s a nod to long time readers, and won’t affect the experience for newer readers.
This will provide you with entertainment and amusement, a little bit to think about, and a strong sense of connection to the main characters. It’s the sort of book to read when you want to relax, and ultimately close the book with a warm and satisfied feeling.

When it comes to romantic comedies that are anything but run-of-the-mill, I know that I can always count on Julia Kent to deliver, and boy, has she delivered. One Night (Hand) Stand is Kent's newest novel--and it may or may not be the first a new series I believe is called Get What You Need. I realize how confusing that sounds, but I'm honestly not sure if this is to remain a standalone--and by standalone, I mean not part of a series--or if it's a series starter. That being said, this is an absolute must-read, especially if you're in the market for something more than the usual rom-com fare with outstanding writing to boot.
One night stands are supposed to be casual and uncomplicated. Sarah Gorenta, however, has just realized that not all one night stands are made equally. The sex with the guy she called Mr. Never Mind was mind-blowing, but finding out that her yoga teacher and her one night stand were the same person has her gobsmacked. After all, Sarah wasn't taking yoga for slaps and tickles. She was an investigative reporter sniffing out a story about corruption with the yoga chain that Casey Willingham is part of. That means there can be no sexy shenanigan-y repeats, but tell that to Sarah and Case who want even more.
I laughed a heck of a lot more than I thought possible while reading this book, and you certainly won't hear me complaining. Yes, the romance was there in spades, but this is a romantic comedy, after all, and finding a book in this genre that has actually made me laugh out loud--and often--is far rarer than you would think. Sarah and Case had things to overcome, especially there was a bit of deception going on with them both, but these two deserved that happy ending. One Night (Hand) Stand was a five-starred read, and I hope we do get a series because of certain supporting characters (I'm looking at you, Jared!).

One Night (Hand) Stand ~Get What You Need #1 by Julia Kent
Blurb:
Who accidentally has a one-night stand with her yoga instructor? Yep. Me.
Simply...Brilliant!
A favourite author of mine, Julia has pulled out yet another fabulous, hilarious romantic comedy in One Night (Hand) Stand :)
When Julia releases a new book I know that I will be in possession of a brilliant story, that it will have new characters, to get to know and love. The locations are real places,(I googled them) and found it helped me in picturing where the story is set. The storyline will be written extremely well, and easy to follow. The way Julia writes, with all her descriptive writing, brings it all to life. I felt that I was actually there on Sarah and Case's journey.
The book starts with a One Night Stand, Case knew who she was but she didn't know him until the morning after, when she turned up for a Yoga class. Both hold back a lie, she is doing a story on the company and when the story comes out it will change everything. Both have worked hard for.
One Night (Hand) Stand is amazing with strong characters, a strong storyline, and LOL moments, it's Steamy, romantic and highly addictive, you wouldn't want to put the book down.
I highly recommend this book to all, and I believe it needs more than 5*.
One Night (Hand) Stand was going to be a standalone, but Case's widowed brother-in-law has got in her head and wants his own story...watch this space for book 2.
Julia, Thank you :)
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Easy-to-read, Entertaining, Funny, Happily Ever After, Page-turner, Romantic, Realistic, Steamy, Witty, and Wonderful characters

When Sarah had a one-night stand with Casey, she didn't think she would see him again. When she goes to her yoga class he's there grinning from ear to ear. He happens to be the yoga instructor. Sarah is an investigative reporter working on an article about the ways this yoga chain is corrupt. The stakes are high because Sarah can get her dream job and Casey would have to sell his shares of the yoga chain before the truth is revealed.
This was such a funny and quick listen!! Julia's books always have humor and this one delivered. I loved the characters. Sarah was hilarious. Her inner dialogue was funny. Casey was very charming, determined and very goal-oriented. I thought Sarah and Case had great chemistry. I felt the sparks between them right from the beginning.
As for the audiobook narration, it's amazing! Performed in dual by Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor. These two brought Sarah and Casey to life. I enjoyed Shane's range in tones. His American accent always throws me off because it's so good. He captured Casey's confidence and lightheartedness. Samantha as always was fantastic!! I love her male voice and add an English accent. Very exceptional voice acting. Samantha captured Sarah's humor. I was laughing alongside her narration. Overall, I enjoyed it!

Tab A is the best
And again, Julia Kent excels herself.
I love love love this book 💖
The opening is brilliant. A one night stand with Mr Never Mind. Two singles both stepping out of their comfort zone, Tab A and Slot B finding happiness.
But all is not as it seems, it never is, and there would be no fun without it.
Sarah and Case are captivating characters. Both have their focus, their passion, and their demons.
Sarah is writing the article of her life, vying for the job she has always wanted and rooting out corruption.
Case is so close to securing his and his family's future, selling his business to gain the financial freedom he has dreamed of.
Sarah breaks her two drink rules, and Case can't resist her charm. They instantly click, and a wild night ensues. Sarah had no idea who Case is until she turns up to her yoga class the following morning, and there he is leading the class. Can she resist his charm, does she want to. Can she tell him who she really is or can she keep quiet and enjoy the ride.
I love these characters. They are beautifully written with great care and attention to detail. The story is enchanting. The supporting cast is more than just filter. And I need to know more about this world they all inhibit.
I highly recommend this book and author.
You won't regret it.

Case & Sarah have great chemistry together, & this author just loves to put her characters in weird situations that always seem to be unavoidable...
She’s trying to get info to expose the business he owns, which obviously could affect him & his future plans quite a bit. He knows who she is, so this means both are hiding some truths from one another. But what happens when reality hits?
I love how his nickname is NM, for Naked Man at first, then Never Mind... & Naked Man is exactly the same as my own NM, as any good friend of mine will attest to, so I personally <3 this nickname...
Lots of funny, descriptive, memorable lines in here...
-Lots of talk about Tab A & Slot B....
-“Slot B now ready to sucede from my body like it’s Quebec...” (&... I’m from Qc!)...
-The importance having a well trimmed garden...
-How her lady garden is trimmed, but just needs watering...
-Talk about interesting bite locations, along with chafing...
-How rimming and gyno accents go together (yes, accents!)...
-Clitbombs & shrapnel... Ouch! Or, um... Ummmmm.... (Can’t decide!)
& lots more...
Great story, relatable characters, with funny lines sprinkled throughout...
Worth reading!

I adore Julia Kent's books and this one was no exception. Case and Sarah meet at a bar one night and have a fantastically hot one night stand! Next day, Sarah discovers that Case is her yoga teacher, and the subject of an investigative journalism piece that she is writing. But she isn't the only one with secrets, Case has some of his own too. As their relationship continues past the one night stand point, it becomes harder and harder to come clean with their secrets. The dilemma that came between Case and Sarah seemed impossible to overcome, so I was excited with the way the author navigated the resolution. This rom com just kept a smile on my face, with the heat, the humor and Tab A and Slot B (you'll have to read the book to understand that reference!)
Ms. Kent is truly a master of hilarity with her witty banter, entertaining characters and a dialogue that makes you keep turning the pages. With Jerry the pug, dumpling the cat, her friends and her mother, it was a masterclass in writing. The secondary characters added a lot to the story and were incredibly funny. This is supposed to be a one off standalone book, but I am hoping that Jared gets his book, and Luna and Adriana get some action too!

ONE NIGHT HAND STAND is a brand new standalone romcom by Julia Kent. This book tells the love story of Case and Sarah, who met in a local bar and had a one night stand. After ghosting her the next morning, Sarah was shocked to discover Case teaching her yoga class. It turned out that Case was a franchise owner of a number of yoga studios in a chain that she was investigating for an expose of financial irregularities. Even though she knew that she should keep her distance, their connection was too perfect to resist. The problem was she didn’t tell him that she was investigating him for her story. He didn’t tell her that he knew who she was when they met and that she was investigating him. The two were at cross purposes and not only were they angry about the lies but in order for Sarah to get what she wanted, she would sabotage Case’s plans. There were so many reasons they couldn’t be together, but love isn’t reasonable. As usual this author has written a fun, flirty, witty, hilarious romcom. I loved Case and Sarah and their chemistry was fantastic. The secondary characters helped to bring the funny to the story and it was a great happy ending. This author also knows how to bring the spice! If you enjoy contemporary romcoms then check out this one. You can never go wrong with Julia Kent!

I’ve been listening/reading a bunch of new to me authors recently, and Julia Kent is another new to me author that I’ll be adding to my list to check out more from because this one was a lot of fun!! This had me cracking up and bursting out laughing. 🤣
Lumberjack labia is living rent free in my head. 😂😂
What was super surprising is that while I was busting my butt laughing, I was also wrestling with my emotions on the serious topic of SA in the workplace. Which is hardly ever touched on, and happens far too often without anything ever coming to light. The tone of the book switched into a more serious mood, and I liked the direction it took with the topic and I think it was tackled in a way that made sense and still meted out justice to the AHOLE who committed the offenses. But the beginning had me losing myself in laughter. The uber driver scene was hilarious!
I enjoyed Case and Sarah’s banter and chemistry. They were so much fun, and the spice between them was hottttt.
Shane & Sammy B!! Back together again on another fantastic audio!! I love them both so much, and always enjoy listening to them, and experiencing stories through their narration. They were amazing, once again!
I would definitely recommend this audio to anyone who loves a good laugh, with a side helping of justice being served!! 😂

Julia Kent! One Night Hand Stand! Entertaining, charming, drama, secrets and of course a one night stand all brought together in one amazing, humorous, easy and quick read. When the first chapter hits with laughter and sexiness, it's an easy decision to keep on carrying on. Julia Kent made reading this and wanting to read this book so, so easy. I couldn't put it down.
I'd give this 4.75 stars if I could!
What I loved:
-the quirkiness and sassiness Kent brings to her writing. It's refreshing and welcome.
-the plot was well thought of and executed.
-the characters were well liked and relatable. We need a second book with Jared for sure.
-Kent brings into the book some hard to tackle subjects like workplace assault and harassment. But she does so in a way that while still a touchy subject, the good guys and victims win.
What I didn't love:
-for one, the fact that it had to end. But all great stories do.
-and two, that both MC seemed a little selfish, but it fit the storyline so I understood it.
Overall, awesome book. I can't wait to grab it for my shelves in print form!

One thing to make sure you are not doing when reading this book, is have a beverage in your hand or you have taken a sip of one. Okay maybe two things, make sure you don’t have a full bladder either. The reason because you are going to be laughing so hard at times, especially the scenes in the uber/lyft cars and restaurant. Lets not even talk about the spicy spicy scenes in the book because damn!! Then there is the donuts, the talks about the garden needing to be trimmed, an accent, and so much more. I laughed so hard at times I started coughing because I was not expecting this at all but then again I should have known when I read the blurb about it.
Sarah and Case(y) had this connection before they even met in person because they were each trying to get the laydown on each other for various reasons. One was doing an investigation to write an article about a studio company while the other was trying to figure out why they were. Would they be able to work it all out and save that spiciness they had or would they have to let each other go in order to save themselves.
Thanks to the author for an ARC to give my honest opinon

Sexy and funny. An unexpected surprise. Really. I didn't see it coming. I never expected to be so good. Cuz usually short novels are hardy great reads. But this is the exception of the rule. It has all the right elements. Very good written.
I'll be honest. I love enemies to lovers romances, so that's one of the reasons I picked it up, even knowing that yoga background theme looked a little boring for me, but I gave it a try, and it worth it. 100%.
A great time reading. It's enjoyable really amusant to read, the sassy playing is fantastic. I love Sarah. She's incredible. And that dirty mind of her... She's perfect! Like he several times said to her. And what about the dude? Well I want a guy like him. Even when they fight he's sexy. He's the whole package. And what a package... Oh Lord... Wet dreams on loop, sorry not sorry.
These two together is one of the best couple I have read about. Their chemistry inside and othside the bed is out of chats. Its complete, intense, and soooooo hot!
OK so this book is going to definitely surprise you too. A high rec here! Try it!!

This story sounds out "innocently" enough, with the two main characters Sarah and Case hooking up after meeting in a bar. Sarah's not looking forward to awkward one-night-stand-morning conversation, but when she reappears after her shower, the Naked Man is already gone. Sarah is an investigative reporter trying to uncover the truth behind a yoga chain; a yoga chain that Case partially owns. He's trying to sell the studios he owns after finding out the owner, Prakash, is into some shady dealings. On the surface, it appeared that Sarah and Case were strangers who acted on the attraction for one another that first night. In the light of day, truths come out and secrets are held because Sarah will probably get her dream job with this expose, but it will destroy Case's chance of financial support for his family if she succeeds.
I enjoyed listening to Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East bring Sarah and Case to life. Both narrators bring the characters' passion, angst and turmoil alive to where the reader can feel all the emotions Julia Kent is known to write!

Narrators: Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor
I loved the book, and these two talented narrators bring all the fun and warmth to chuckling life. Their pacing, characterisations, and ability to pull off comedy are just spot on.
Ebook review:
Julia Kent never fails to produce a warm, funny, kind-at-heart book, which always leaves me feeling better than when it found me! Sarah and Case's romance starts with a one night stand, but, through a series of crazy events and unanticipated meet ups, becomes more. Both Sarah and Case are delightful characters. They are big hearted and kind, and frankly, together they sizzle! Mind you, they are keeping some important details from each other 🤔. But who wouldn't want some great background twists to accompany this burgeoning romance. Oh, and the mention of a concrete chicken manages to sneak in..😅.
Again, I have found myself entranced by this author's lively, off beat imagination, wonderful way with words, and sense of humour. 💖💖💖💖💖

This book is wildly entertaining. Ms. Kent has a wonderful sense of humor and a great command of snappy dialogue. Following the saga of Sarah and Case was mostly fun, with occasional interruptions for serious, real life events and major plot twists. Yes, it's mainly a romantic comedy, but both Sarah and Case have job-related issues that keep getting in the way. Their chemistry was undeniable, starting with the opening one night stand scene. Ms. Kent skillfully balances the kind of workplace crime situations one might read about in the newspaper with the developing romance between Sarah and Case. I was able to appreciate both aspects of the story throughout the book - quite a writerly achievement! It was fun to read a story set in Massachusetts, where I live, and catch all the random descriptions and references. I'll be looking for a chance to experience the audiobook version, which I imagine might be even more fun!
I was given an ARC of this novel and volunteered to write a review.

Narration 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
This book was so good. This was my first Julia Kent book and when I saw it was an Eastmoor narration, I jumped at the opportunity to listen to this. I loved the banter between Sarah and Case, or Tab A and Slot B. 😂😂 seriously this book had me cracking up the whole time, even during the serious bits. I’m not usually into the instalove trope but the way it’s done here, you can barely tell that majority of the events that happened were all within 3 days.
Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor…the dream team. They both did so incredible during this dual narration, as always. As I mentioned earlier, I didn’t even hesitate to sign up for this one, even with an already full schedule, simply because it was Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor. They could read the dictionary to be and I’d be satisfied. 😂😂

One Night Hand Stand is the perfect rom com meant to make you laugh, enjoy the book from start to finish with the fun family and friends, an emotional storyline, and two people who have feelings for each other but struggle to make it work due to their own personal issues and well a few lies.
Case owns a franchise of yoga studios that Sarah is investigating and while he knows that, she doesn’t know he knows, and that makes it complicated when they start falling for each other. They are two people that have an instant connection from the moment we see them together after their first hook up from the end, their connection and feelings only grow and it was so lovely to read! I loved how all the secrets and issues kept staying intertwined no matter how much either of them wanted it all to unravel, that kept me hooked as I wanted to know how it would all play out!

I read this book in one seating while being on a long flight. I haven’t laughed & giggled so much in a while and it was exactly what I needed to pass some time with good vibes. Sarah & Case are both loveable main characters on their own but together they are indeed a power couple. Case is the owner of a yoga franchise and Sarah, a journalist wannabe investigating a scandal within the company that Case is part of. What I liked about Sarah & Case is that apart from the information they were hiding from each other on what they were doing for a living, their relationship is mostly drama free. Two adults who hit it off and willing to see if it can go any further. Their journey is light, sexy, steamy and funny with a bit of anxiety here and there when it came to important decisions which kept me on the edge of my seat. I was rooting for them as a couple and hoping they can find a solution that can benefit both. A book written from dual POVs and with HEA.
