Sometimes you get the long ride… Meg Sanders is completely out of her element when she plays wing woman for her friend at an MC party. Brazen, brutish bikers are not her idea of a good time. Or are they? All her preconceived notions about the club and its members are tossed to the side when her knight in dusty leather shows up. As a founding member of the Ghosttown Riders MC, John “Mick” McMillian lives and breathes the life. Women have never held much of an interest to Mick for longer than one night. That all changes when a doe-eyed outsider shows up, piquing his interest. Opposites attract. But can a lifetime romance build between two people from completely different sides of life?
Sometimes that ride is interrupted… Those who fight hard tend to love harder. Grain McCaffrey and Regina Hinkley’s story is anything but conventional. Tumultuous and toxic is never a good introduction to any relationship, yet somehow these two make it work. A year together is definitely something to celebrate, especially for a couple like Grain and Regina. The only hitch? One remembered. And the other one didn’t.
Sometimes that ride ends way too soon… A storm is brewing and their world is changing. The Ghosttown MC is taking a turn, potentially leaving its members and all those closely connected to them in harm’s way. As president and founder of the club, Jack Reilly has always put his brothers first. But with the recent shift in power, there’s an uncertainty to their future. It’s the worst possible time to give in to his desire for the dark-haired siren tending the bar. Club whore Colleen Warren has pined over the President of the Ghosttown Riders, Jack Reilly, for years. She can’t help but be smitten with the smart, powerful leader, along with a touch of hero worship. When he steps in, taking a stand in her honor, her infatuation goes into overdrive. And when he offers her sanctuary, she starts to see him in an entirely different light. She sees a possible future she’d always viewed unattainable. Unfortunately, not every great love story ends in “and they lived happily ever after”. Some come with a twist.
Amelia Shea writes contemporary romance. She released her debut novel in 2015, and has followed her passion for series romance ever since. Her writing style includes a little sweet, a little sassy and lots of steam. She loves building stories with settings that become comfortable and familiar, and developing characters who feel real, and though they may be flawed, they learn and grow, and finally deserve a happy ending. When she is not writing, she is obsessed with reading (all genres although she does has a soft spot for romance), coffee (it's more of an addiction but she prefers obsession) and perfecting her "y'all" (just a northern girl living in the south).
A step back in time to the beginnings of Ghosttown Riders MC and its founding members.
Mick and Meg love at first sight soulmates, in for the long ride together.
Grain and Regina, potty mouthed, sharp, quick tempered and brash, a year into their relationship and an important date is forgotten by one of them. Ouch!
Jack the tough, handsome President and the famous Colleen.
A wonderful three love stories in one, with cameos from some of our other favourite characters. If you are as addicted to the Ghosttown series as I am, you will need tissues and you will fall even more in love with Jack than you already are. I loved this dip into the past, but I have a feeling that more secrets may surface as new series unfold.
I enjoyed this story. I was so invested in the couple, I was blown away with such a traumatic change in direction. I am left in tears. This is filled with brotherhood and honor. It was that honor that sent someone on a different path. MC characters were entertaining. The only change I would make is for Dunn to have been kicked out or killed. The epilogue was sweet and will reunite lost loves. I hope everyone reading this review will read this book. It has heart, love, MC angst, answers a lot of questions on how they ended up working with the Underground and the sacrifice made by the Prez. Highly recommend the book. Enjoy.
I don't know how to start this other than saying Amelia Shea can write one heck of a book and I thank her so very much. I cried like a baby at the end but it is a book I will reread again and again. I don't want to tell you what the book is about because there was so many parts she wrote. We got to meet the characters before her first Ghosttown Riders book. PLEASE buy the book and enjoy every minute of it. It is well worth it but make sure you have tissues at the end. LOL Amelia Shea you are my favorite author.
Ms. Shea you made me cry!!!! Where most series start with the originals, this series ends with the OGs and it all comes together beautifully. You may need to go back and do a re read of the series as a refresher otherwise it is such a beautiful love story of the 3 OG couples. Even after Grain and Regina's book, you still get a deeper insight into their relationship. Finally get the story of Colleen and Jack (bring tissues!) Mick and Meg (swoon!!) I can't say it enough how wonderful this book comes together
Amelia is a wonderful writer. To put a story like this together the way she did and told it was perfect. I knew this story was going to be heartbreaking. I read the whole series. I knew parts of the original's stories through the series with the next generation of the Ghosttown MC. This story filled in the blanks. Unfortunately, we don't always get what we want. In away at the end, I guess Jack and Colleen would get Their's.
This book was so emotional, I have a hard time to keep the tears from falling. If I was reading a paperback book the pages would be wet. This was absolutely amazing. I almost didn't read it because I like my books in order. Yes I know this book is in order of when it was written. I am not of reading about years ago. I am grateful that I knew I had to read every Ghostown book written. I am so glad I read it. Well lets see this author will top this.
Mick and Meg Great communication scenes. Truly felt the retro vibe, the feeling like I went back in time.
Grain and Regina So dysfunctional and so cute. The mystery behind the drink is reaolved. Regina was an amazing character, I wish she turned up in the main series.
Jack and Colleen I'm fucking ugly crying right now. I'm so glad to finally hear their story but I'm freaking heartbroken. The last scene by the river destroyed me. Shout out to the cameo from Arnett and his wife.

I wasn’t a fan. I really could have used a summary because I couldn’t remember who Mick was and I don’t remember Grain’s or Jack’s backstory. I was very disappointed in Jack and Coll’s story. To have been so in love they were never truly happy, I wanted a more compelling reason on why they never got together. Knowing Jack, I would have thought he would have kept tabs on her just to make sure she was safe

OMG make sure you have the tissues! This is a look into how the Original GhostTown Riders came to be. You get a look into Mick and Meg, Regina and Grain and Jack and Colleen. If you read the series you know their story but it still guts you as you read it. You laugh and you definitely cry and ask Amelia WHY?! BUT it's worth the ride. Definitely recommend reading this!💗 5/5⭐
Beautiful stories - be prepared for possible tears!!
Loved the three stories of Mick, Grain, and Jack before the Ghosttown series. Loved finally finding out about Jack and Colleen. No spoilers!! Heartbreaking, sweet with a question I have for author Amelia Shea. Wonderful stories!! Loved them!! ❤️❤️
Oh my Amelia Shea is amazing! This look back in time with the originals is so good. I can not wrap my head around the amount of tears I have shed in the last 24 hours. The heart of the club…Jack, Mick and Grain, it was worth the wait. So much turmoil, drama, love and sacrifice. Yet so much to look forward to. And…..Colleen…my heart just hurt. Just so good.
I loved going back & meeting the OGs in their prime! Especially Grain & Regina with her gift-the Regina - we all know what that drink is now lol I know there's going to be a surprise in another book/series when we learn the identity of someone's kiddo! Well played with the suspense of that one, Amelia!!
If only I could give this more than 5 stars. So worthy of more. Gives insight into Ghosttown with lots of background stories you just wanted to know. Mick & Meg a love story, Jack & Colleen a match made in heaven. And he never forgot her. I did cry, I didn’t want the story to end. Amelia Shea another masterpiece thank you
This one is set in the past, before the club split and followed 3 couples. We've seen the results through out the series, but it was fun to see them at the beginning of their relationship, in the middle and how Jack sacrificed so much! That last couple, Jack and Colleen was so bittersweet! Makes you wish they could have worked things out to stay together, I think they would have been great!

I will never emotionally recover from this book. Holy smokes. I loved visiting with the originals and seeing what they were like in their younger years. We also find out the mythos behind the infamous pink drink. Make sure you have your tissues handy because you are going to be taken on on heck of an emotional ride.
Omg,what a truly beautiful book, the stories of the 3 originals and how they found their one true love is amazing,a totally memorable experience, so many emotions, captivating and entertaining,I loved loved loved this book ❤️🖤
It’s the stories we’ve all been waiting for and what an emotional ride it was. It was lovely to read Meg and Micks story and see the craziness that was a young Grain and Gee but Jack and Coll are what made it extra special.
I love the originals! Mick, Jack, and Grain will always be infamous, but this captured them in a way we've never seen! I laughed. I cried, and I think we all have a little Meg, Regina, and Colleen in each of us
You made me cry again. I loved this so much, what a love story. I can’t wait to see how you are going to weave your magical and excellent writing to include Coll son. Congratulations Marj
Heartbreakingly beautiful but it won’t make any sense if you haven’t read Ghosttown and East first. I loved Jack the most on The Enemy, but I love him more now. Also nice to read how Mick fought for Meg. Grain & Regina do not disappoint either.
This book was an amazing read. I loved all the characters. Beautifully written, full of emotion. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
Absolutely brilliant stories with these couples. They were definitely perfect for each other and loved each other. I'm not going to give away any spoilers, not even a hint, so grab your copy and enjoy.
I’ve heard a lot of books over the last few years and this series is by far my favorite. I love these characters and the stories. I have laughed and cried as I read them. Thank you Amelia for sharing them with us.
If you haven't read the Ghosttown Riders series yet you will want to after reading this book! All three stories were so good and helped answer questions in previous books. Of course, my favorite was Jack and Colleen. Have the tissues close while reading!
Will always read a Ghosttown Riders book. This was about 3 of the original members, which I didn’t realize at first and was disappointed when Mick and Meg’s ended suddenly! Regina will always be the GOAT of old ladies. Jack and Colleen’s story was last and honestly, kind of depressing.
Loved the stories, loved the characters. The last one was absolutely gutwrenching. I so wanted to have a hea with Jack and Colleen. And what was her sons name? And was it Jack's son? I need answers....
Omg! What a way to end this series ! 😍 Secretly😉 I'm hoping this isn't the end, but this author is so talented! if it is the end of this series, there's plenty more where that came from! I just love Ms Amelia's storytelling😘
