I was extremely blessed to have been sent this book by the wife of one of Maulana Alis relatives. I really loved this book when I first started reading it and thought I would easily give it a four or even five star rating but there are some parts of it that I am just not sure about. That's not to say that they are wrong, just different to how I imagined or was taught. That said it is really incumbent on me to re read those parts and research them more deeply. I do not like to dismiss things out of hand I much prefer to delve more deeply and see what evidence there is to back things up.
It is a great book with so much information about Islam and I certainly enjoyed reading it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. If it wasn't for the bits I am unsure of I would have actually given this book a five star as the majority of it is a very easy and informative read.

Well-written, and it helped that the group member who suggested it also suggested excerpts for us to focus on. (We’d be happy to provide these; the copy of this book in the Daughters library has list of suggested excerpts.) Led to good discussions over the course of several meetings. Recommended.
