Ok I have to say it...Beth has GOTTA GO!!! And I wont cry if Paul does too....This was the best book of this series so far...I have liked them all, but this one just hit the right pitch finally and flowed like a Mike book should, I think its because Mikes character has grown into the Michael Talbot us readers are familiar with, and when he is with Tracy its just right...I love D, I want to be his friend, he is the coolest Alien I have ever read...and now BT! Woohoo!! All we need now is a Trip appearance and I will feel complete...I could not put this book down...I want and need more...good thing its less than a month till #5!! 2 huge thumbs up and a highly recommend!!!!!!

LOVED IT AGAIN!!! ON TO BOOK 5!!!

Mark does it again and I'm sure you are all sick of me raving about his books; I simply cant help it they really are that good. I absolutely loved book 4 in the series and I'm falling in love with Dee almost as much as Mike. The one liners are just genius and Im laughing outloud like a crazy person...lol.
Marks character developments are effortless and I was so excited to find another well loved character introduced to the storyline...woohoo we all love BT and their amazing banter...I suddenly feel Im home again.

This book is 3 years after book 3 and earth is yet again in trouble from the Progerians and I loved how Mike and Tracey this time get to fight together; she really has a huge part in this book and gets to kick some serious alien butt and proving herself to be as bad ass as her hubby. They are a model military couple but they have a new unexpected danger. Beth is becoming more and more jealous and cruel as time goes on; who seems to be successfully turning life-long friend Paul against them.

Were right behind Mike as he tries to integrate the freed Genogerians into our human world ready to fight together against the Progerians; but its never going to be easy is it with Mike.

I seriously cannot wait for Book 5 with another fantastic nail biting ending when all seems lost for planet earth; talk about unexpected alies!
As Ive said so many times before with every other book from Mark Tufo you could read this as a stand alone book; but if you start from Book 1 and read through to here you will enjoy it so much more.
If you've never read a Tufo book go grab book 1 and let me know what you think; I'm sure you will be as hooked as I was.

I was kindly sent a copy for this review.

Mark Tufo has done it yet again by bringing a young Michael Talbot back to complete the mission he started at the end of Book 3: CONQUEST. This is not the Talbot of the Zombie Fallout series so much of the levity that is found in that series is lacking in this one. But he is a younger version in an alternate reality who was abducted by aliens. But thankfully you can't completely wipe that part of Talbot away at any age or reality. He is now attempting to help his old friend Paul, who is in charge of what is left of Earth's defensive force, learn as much as they can about the captured Progerian scout ship in the hope of using it to defend what is left of Earth's populace from the coming and much larger alien Destroyer class ship. Several hundred thousand Genogarians have also been freed but Paul and most of the human population do not trust them. They are sent to several locations around the world in what are badly disguised detention camps. The captured Progerians have been relocated to Florida against Mike's better judgment. And while Mike refuses a very high position in the military, Paul gladly steps in to take the reins. Their friendship is strained as Beth, now Pauls' wife and constant irritation in Mike's side makes it abundantly clear she has not given up on getting him back. With Drababan at his side, Mike finds himself now trying to defend and fight against the now restless Genogarians who have suddenly gone on the rampage. Beth is finally showing her true self as she pits Paul against Mike while trying to rid herself of anyone that stands between her and Michael Talbot. New friends are found, others will be lost and Mike, in any reality, is still wise cracking his way into and out of trouble. And just when all appears to be lost, help arrives from an unexpected source that could save humanity or damn it. Either way, Michael Talbot is back!

I was so excited when the beloved character "B.T." showed up. I actually think I heard a cheer from the collective Tufo fan base.

For me, it has been the best part in the series, so far. you can say, 1st three parts were just the stories that were building it up to lead to this. make no mistake, the first three parts are extremely amazing as well, and are totally action packed, without being boring at all at any place! and this one, is no finale for sure, but I am very very satisfied with this one. and the twist in the end...
I cannot wait to read the fifth part now. usually I take a break and move to some other book before I get back to the sequel of some book. but for the Indian hill series, I read the third and the fourth back to back, and now might do the same for the 5th one.

wonderful book.

and no, you shouldn't read it if you have not read the previous parts.

anyway, it has been a great experience so far, and Mark Tufo has been one of my favourites thanks to this series and a couple more.

This is, indeed a very Good Read. ;)

This story continues with the excitement, horror and surprising bits of humor as the first three books in the series. It includes characters that we are familiar with, and others that are introduced. I love this book, you will too.

Finally humanity is a real force to be reckoned with! The natural escalation of relationships, motives, resolve and hostility are so prevalent in this entry as the tension between best friends Mike and Paul becomes palpable. If the Apocalypse happens, I want to live on Tufo's Earth!

Excellent series!!! I started with Book 1 and just kept reading... Fantastic plots and subplots all interwoven to make a web that catches and holds your interest. Action packed storytelling at its best.

Too formulaic and repetitive; gave up after 3. Liked the Zombie Fallout and Lycan Fallout series much better.

Cool

As usual Mike Talbot is in trouble. From interstellar enemies to human females he always has someone looking to do him in. I can't wait to read the next one.

ABR's full From the Ashes audiobook review and many others can be found at Audiobook Reviewer.

About three years later Mike and Tracy are married and have a son, 2 1\2 year old Travis. “D” lives close by and visits often. Things have been quiet for a while. The calm before the storm.

This series just keeps getting better and better. You got to worry about Mike. He is so nice and friendly but watch out he has a dark side. Paul, his best friend and Leader of the country wants him on a photo shoot. Beth, now Paul’s wife, is still thinks she can seduce Mike. I would really like to ring her neck.
Mark has developed his characters very well. The banter between Mike and D is soooo funny. Just like good friends would kid each other.
Mike and Paul are having problems, mostly because of Beth’s undermining their relationship.

The storm hits and Tracy and Mike are separated. Mike in the hospital, again, and Tracy on the battlefield. One thing leads to another and it looks like the end again. Treachery by the aliens and humans alike. Things go from bad to worse and then even worse. A twist toward the end. Should have seen it coming.

Again for this book I had the audio version. Got to tell you that Sean is fantastic as the narrator . He brings the book to life with his various voices. The whole audio was totally enjoyable. Clear and clean recording without any distractions or static.

If you like aliens, war and comic relief you have got to get this series. Oh, and this is not the last book.

I am currently listening to Indian Hill again with my partner on long journeys. I had no idea Mark Tufo was planning another, let alone that it was written, so I was very excited to get hold of this book. Not that I ever doubted him, but Tufo did it again! I really enjoyed this tale. Set five years after the end of IH3, it catches us up and takes us forward. The themes explored in this book are as harrowing as in the original three and mirror some pretty terrible moments in human history. I like this about these books.

There are some hilarious moments, one of which will stay with me for a very long time and with Sean Runnette's delivery, this is an entertaining listen. I couldn't recommend this audiobook enough. Enjoy!

I will confess I wasn't sure about this series at first, but as it's progressed I've found myself enjoying each book more & more & this one is no exception. In fact I think it's the best to date, with the story progressing, & new/familiar characters being introduced. The banter & one liners between Mike & Dee is brilliant, & you can picture the battle scenes due to the excellent writing style of Mark Tufo. I don't know how many books Mark has planned for this series, but for now Mike has some serious unfinished business with not only the aliens, but people he once regarded as his closest friends. Roll on book 5 I say.

I liked this more than the last book, the addition of a new iteration of BT likely had much to do with that. This book steers the plot arc towards an area with enough wiggle room for a sustainable series (where the gladiatorial tournament format simply wouldn't). The banter between D & Talbot are another key reason for 4 stars, it's simply hard to not find their intergalactic bromance charming. I am certainly intrigued, and Tufo has managed yet again to keep me as a subscriber to his works. I would still like to see a longer form stand-alone book from Tufo, I feel like I would really enjoy a more complex yet finite work from Tufo (on a blank slate).

With Mike Talbot's so called best friend Paul being two faced, and Paul's so called wife Beth obsession and insanity over Michael Talbot.. I don't know who is worse.. But, for me, still a good series to read.

Also, it is the US Army who say, "Ooooooohh Raaahhh!!!!" and not the US Marines.. But, than again, this is fiction, and in that world, it is so.. :)

Mr. Tufo did it again i was up all night reading the book. and has yet again left another cliffhanger at the end and i can not wait in till the next book comes out.

IH4 was really good page turning you wonder more and more what trouble mike can get in to and how he can get it had all your funny comedy between him and Dee and of course the characters to hate and love the hole series is a great read if you have not read them yet you should well worth the time

Mike Talbot has to be from Texas. There's just no way an ass kicking bad ass like him could be from anywhere else.

With Talbot you just never know. I even teared up once or twice with this book. Great job Mark Tufo on once again a non disappointing book.

Mark Tufo does it again. His continued chronicles of Michael Talbot weave an extraordinary adventure of excitement and trepidation in this, yet another wild ride, which I can not get enough of. Thank you Mark, and please keep writing.
