*** Memoirs of a Sex Slave has been re-released and renamed Club Nirvana: Jayde's Story ***
Jade Jones discovered her passion for creative writing in elementary school. Born in 1989, she began writing short stories and poetry as an outlet. Later on, as a teen, she led a troubled life which later resulted in her becoming a ward of the court. Jade fell in love with the art and used storytelling as a means of venting during her tumultuous times.
Aging out of the system two years later, she was thrust into the dismal world of homelessness. Desperate, and with limited income, Jade began dancing full time at the tender age of eighteen. It wasn't until Fall of 2008 when she finally caught her break after being accepted into Cleveland State University. There, Jade lived on campus and majored in Film and Television. Now, six years later, she flourishes from her childhood dream of becoming a bestselling author. Since then she has written the best-selling "Cameron" series.
Quite suitably, she uses her life's experiences to create captivating characters and story lines. Jade currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. With no children, she spends her leisure shopping and traveling. She says that seeing new faces, meeting new people, and experiencing diverse cultures fuels her creativity. The stories are generated in her heart, the craft is practiced in her mind, and she expresses her passion through ink.
You ever read a book that pulls you in from start to finish? well every book by jade has made me feel like I am there.I can picture ever scene. Her talent is beyond words. She's amazing and so is this book.If your looking for a good read this is it.Matterfact check out all of her books she never disappoints!
Really good fiction just extremely short. I felt like as soon as I got to know the characters the book just ended. There was a lot of flashbacks so much so this book probably should have started with a prologue. All in all Jade Jones can definitely write her butt off. Five stars
Overall this book was just okay. Its a fast paced short story about a girl named Jayde. Jayde is kidnapped and taken to a house where she is forced to be a sex slave. The story does flip back and forth from present time to the past when she first met Hero. Hero's role in the story was really rushed. I didn't get a real feeling of who the characters were. Like I said it moves quickly and ended just as fast. You really didn't get to know one of what it seems to be an important character in the book, Lord. The story ended at 89%.
Club Nirvana is a short story. The storyline is about sex trafficking in urban America where a woman named Jayde is stripped of her dreams. This book was not what I thought it was going to be. The constant switching back and forth between present and past from Jayde's point of view was a bit confusing at times. I love reading a good bdsm story and dark erotica. This story was too short and I hated Mac, but overall it was ok.
Who does that? I know that there is still to this present day human trafficking. But to be abducted and held against your will is a force I hope to never deal with. This book was heart wrenching and sad. I did kind of expect the outcome from Mac because he was a hater since day one. You never really know who your real friends are nowadays
Club Nirvana is a short story. The storyline is about sex trafficking in urban America where a woman named Jayde is stripped of her dreams. The storyline was well written. I'm impressed with how this author made this short story flow. Ladies be care of the information you give out on internets and other sites. Even know there’s other ways of people to find, just don’t give me an upper hand by helping them. You never know who may be watching and preying
Jesus I can't even explain without giving away the story. What kinda sick crap is this dude into. Save a hoe can sure cause you your life. The ending is killing me Author Jade hurry with part 2. Pure setup, what the hell kinda friend is that. smh great read!
I have nothing but love for this young author. Always a pleasure. You must read this book. I picked this book by the author name, never a disappointment. She is AWESOME.
I loved this book it really kept my attention I feel so sorry for Jayde but I just know it's more to her story and can't wait to find out more about it. Is Hero really her Hero and what is up with Mac and this Lord guy I can't wait to read part 2
This short story will have you on the edge of your seat
Mac is a coward how can you shoot your own friend because you want to be respected by your father who is a pimp who abuses and sells women for sex that is a coward move. I hope sweet Jadye finds herself out of this situation before she gets killed and I Hope Hero finds her and put a stop to Mac and Lord shady business for once and for all
Why did this book end? I was not ready. I'm like a fiend waiting for part 2. From the beginning I was pulled in. When I got to the end I was looking for more.
This was a good short story(and I do mean short). I would love to read a second part to this book to see how everything ended. I'm sure Jayde got saved and Hero didn't really die. I also know that Hero and Mac are no longer friends, but enemies now.
This book started off with a bang and ended with a pop, and has me wondering what's going to happen next. After escaping her captors who was forcing her into prostitution, Jayde thinks she safe after coming in contact with an old fling, Hero. After what seems like a get away, it turns out to be the complete opposite. It was starting to get good and then the story ended! I hope there's a part 2

I did not care for this book for a couple of reasons. First, I am a Caucasian woman. I have several African American and black friends. This book offended me because it perpetuated the stereotype that the only black men who are successful and/or have money are thugs or pimps. The good guys are down on their luck "losers". My friends are all highly educated and married to equally educated and successful men, some of whom are African American or black. Two of the male characters supposedly graduated from NYU (a very good school and very difficult to get into) yet neither of them had even somewhat decent jobs? They also spoke like they were from Harlem or Bed Stuy. I assure you that any African American who attends NYU does not sound or behave like a thug. Anyway, I felt the story was very demeaning to black men (and women) and I am surprised that an intelligent, educated woman would write such a disparaging book.
The beginning of the book was slow pace but pick up in the middle and end of the book. I enjoyed reading Memoirs of a Sex Slave by Jade Jones. I like the concepts and vibe in this book. It's well written and well character. Jayde and Hero are the main characters in this book. I didn't like when Mac choose to working with Lord over than his friendship to Hero. Lord is evil and terrible dude. He doesn't have respect to female. I'm almost cry about Jayde's Story. Jade Jones is a good author and she takes her time to writing this book. I can't wait to read part 2 of Memoirs of a Sex Slave.
This story is hit from page one,Jayde has been kidnapped and force to be a sex slave by Mac mac and Hero are friends or so Hero thought. .Lord runs the sex slave operations he has tricks up his sleeves and Jayde, Mac and Hero do too...I am on to part two I need answers. .. Very enjoyable story that flashes back and forth from present to past to get some insight....ends suddenly leaving you to wonder about Hero's and Jayde's fate...hurry up part 2!!
What in the check was going through Hero's best friend head? Ok I understand that was his father but why go around kidnapping people to make a sex slave what is his purpose for doing that? Now I need to know more will Jayde escape will Hero live? I'm ready for part two please.
