Witches, Demons & Prophesy all wrapped up in strong women & the men who fight for and With them

I cannot get this series out of my mind. This is the next to last 'challenge' for the witches of the Savanah Coven. This one involves the fierce warrior, Paige. She has watched &waited for her challenge and she is ready...for the battle. She is determined not to give in to the 'falling in love part of the challenge like her sister witches have. Falling in love, or having any kind of relationship is not going to happen. But fate steps in, in the form of a fellow soldier, Chris. A man as fierce, as strong, & determined as she is. As the world of humans & the Amara begin to clash around them, Paige & Chris must follow not one prophecy, but two. So come along on this incredible journey of discovery. Of things evil, of where the battle for the world is headed & the battle for not just Paige's life but her Love. p
Kate's writes a fast paced, intricate story. It is a love story. It is a story ultimately about good and evil and the battle that rages behind the scenes. Her characters are well developed & I have come to care what happens to them. I am waiting impatiently for book 9 but I don't want to let go of them either. If you have not begun this series you must get started. If you pace yourself you could catch up in time for Anna's story in book 9. Highly recommended!!

Paige is one of my favorate witches. so I have looked forward to reading what Suza Kates has decided to do in her book.
It took me by surprise! It is so much better than my - very high - expectations! I loved it! Suza Kates tells a great story . It hooks you on the first page and keeps you turning the pages over and over again until it culminates in a very surprising end.
If You have read at sc books, you will know, that Paige is Kick Ass and stands alone with no fear. I will not tell you, if she stands alone in the end - or like her sisters find her sole mate. Read the book!

I highly recommend that you start at the beginning of the series. Whisper of Witch. Although all the books can be read on their own- they are so much better if read as a series. You will end up getting to know all the witches and like me waiting in suspense for the final book: Annes book.
I can't wait!!

Suza has done it again.
I had some bittersweet moments reading this book knowing its the next to last in this series ,I didn't want it to end.
Paige has been my favorite from the start and her story was wonderful. Chris was the perfect match for her in everything I love how he was also part of her past and knew her as a little girl and brought everything full circle for her.
This is a must read my favorite by far.

I've eagerly awaited this book...only to devour it instantly! It managed to keep me intriqued (most series become tedious & predictable by book three). I can't wait for the next (and last!) book!

WOW! This was a wonderful read! The last book was really intense and we had to deal with the loss of one of the witches (or so we thought). This one had a lot of action but had a lot of dealings with the heart. Why bring that up you ask? Because this is one of the big reasons I love this series and Suza's writing. She builds up the characters when they are support characters then, when it comes to their trials, we delve deeper into what made the character. The last book dealt with Kylie, the most innocent of the witches and she ended up with the darkest trial up to that point (I thought). This one we have Paige, the combat vet, the one who's seen the darkest side of humanity yet she ends up with the biggest emotional storyline. I won't give spoilers because I don't want to ruin it for you.

The characters are absolutely fantastic! You'd swear you know someone just like them, the only difference is that they are witches. I've said it before, but they just keep on getting stronger. It was really nice to see the hardcore Paige soften up a bit and find out why she is such a ball-buster.

The stories have always been good and this one is no exception. Good action, good drama, and a little bit more romance than the others (not a bad thing at all). Suza can certainly spin a tale! I'm actually a little bummed because there is only one trial left so the series is nearly over. This is one of four series I really look forward to (really bad because one of my others is also on it's last volume). Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

The further we get into the series, the harder it is to review without spoilers...but I can say the one part we can tell by the description (and process of elimination) is that we can FINALLY read out story about Paige!

I couldn't wait to find out how Ms. Kates would tackle this one, since we've come to learn that with each witch's trial, comes a true love, which appears to be a part of the process. We also know that Paige is EXTREMELY against the idea of true love -- or any love, or any man in her life other than the men already close to the coven.

I have to say, as tough as I thought it would be for Ms. Kates to not only tackle the issue of Paige's true love/trial, but also make it believable...she did not disappoint! It was quite a struggle for Paige, and every thought she had and choice she made was very believable, and made perfect sense with the story. And there could have been no better potential love for this author to have created than Chris Decker.

As for Paige's trial...even better. Not your average trial, as the added twist to WHY this trial was so important (other than the obvious defeating evil thing) was something that I didn't see coming, and was the perfect addition.

Of course, with this book also comes sadness, because it means there's only one book left. But I am very much looking forward to the final, most likely HUGE battle we are going to see next!

With this being the second to the last in this spectacular series I have mixed feelings. I couldn't read it fast enough yet I am apprehensive since I don't want to see it end. Although now that I completed Page's story I'm more than eager to begin Anna's and the final installement in this series.
Page is definitely a warrior and ready for her challenge...well all except the introduction of the man in her life. We learn a lot about Page in this book and what has happened in her life to mold her into the warrior she has become.
Chris is an introduction that she fights yet when she learns details about him and her past it makes for a very intense relationship.
With the author setting us up for the final battle I can imagine how emotional and intense it will be. The question is will we her readers survive the battle she will be putting us and her coven of witches along with their males through?
This is one of the best series I have ever read and look forward to what the author has up her sleeve for future series.
Five stars does not begin to describe how endearing and magickal this series is. THESE ARE MUST READ BOOKS!

I am a huge fan of Suza Kates and her Savannah Coven series. I love all of her books so it's no surprise I give her a rating of 5. But like alot of you at one time I had never heard of her. I had never read her books but once I read the first one I was hooked. Her last book kept my interest as much as her first and when I finished it I wished I had the final one downloaded in my Kindle. I am not a very patient person and I can't wait to find out what happens in the last installment. Suza always has a way of surprising her readers, blindsiding them with something they did not see coming and surprises us. One of the reasons her fans love her books.

Unfortunately, I did not have the time to devour this book. Turns out that was a good thing because I was able to absorb every moment in the story. Suza continues the masterpiece by building up the final showdown one witch challenge at a time. Paige didn't go down without a fight and she sure as hell wrecked havoc for the Amara. I cannot wait for the final series installment and the necessary series reread to prepare myself for the obliteration of the foul Amara.

Definitely the best of the series. Most authors run out of steam this far into a series but each installment gets better, grittier, and just more everything. I could not put this book down. This series has become one of my favorites and Suza Kates a writer I will always want to read.

Love this series. Come on Savannah Covent.

The last 8 bookies have been nothing but fascinating and action packed. The parts where the witches begin their trials and find their soul mates is different and exciting so at once. You know they will find, fall n love with their men but you can't predict how their trials will end. Getting ready to start number 9 and I can't wait. Must read if you like magical, mystery, action and romances.

Hell Hath No Fury!!!

Revenge and redemption a salty mix. Pride and hate collide to make a magick so beautiful and pure as true love itself.

Now that the end is almost nigh, so much work is still left to be done.

Good vs evil, a tale as old as time. Even for those of us weak at heart have hope that one day all of evil will be conquered for good.

Witch # 8

Witch # 8, trial # 8, love story #8. Of all the 9 witches, she was the least likeable and frankly I couldn't think of any male finding her appealing but the story was pretty good and it got it ready for the final trial of Witch # 9 to fulfill their destiny.

Vengeance of a Witch is the eighth book in the Savannah coven series by Suza Kates. (Well, if you count Boys' Night Out, the preceding novella about the men involved with the witches in the series, it is the ninth book.) As with the previous books, I absolutely loved this one! As I've said before in my other reviews of Suza's books, I have a fascination for and almost obsession with anything that involves magic and witches and ever since I read Whisper of a Witch (the first in the series), I've been hooked! I've really been looking forward to this particular book in the series because of the way the prophecy has always affected each witch as she fulfills her portion of that prophecy, and Paige has her own unique way of achieving her destiny. I won't spoil the story for you. Believe me, this book, like all the others, is well worth the read!

My only complaint is not with the writing but with the editing. There were multiple places in this book where words were misspelled, grammar and punctuation were incorrect, etc. I don't recall seeing this in any of the previous Savannah coven books and this was disappointing to me. I guess this seems important to me personally because I was an English major in college and I constantly proofread anything I write for any reason. I'm also an aspiring author and, to me, errors like this take the reader's attention away from the story. But I believe this would fall under the publisher's purview and not the author's so I have no quarrel with Suza at all about this.

In any event, as I previously said, this book is well worth the read! Suza Kates is a brilliant author. Kudos Suza! You've done it again!

I Loved this series and think it would make a good movie. Talk about a fun exciting ride! wow this was a big roller coaster. A great variety of emotions, some even intense or deeply sad. This story is based in the southern United States and is packed of multi-genre. Paranormal, Romance, Magic, Fictional History and Mystery. Each book becomes more thrilling and the author keeps you wondering "what comes next" throughout the entire series.

I purchased this box set of the first 3 stories first but before starting the second book I bought books 4-9. yes, I was hooked from the beginning.

The only thing i found distracting in the series was the increasing use of story repetition. In some places it is like the author is trying to fill pages by repeating previous written information. Regardless, i would highly recommend the series.

As with the previous seven of this series, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey through this witch's trial. Each one is different and special and exciting in its own way, but Paige was a special case entirely. The next book is the last in the series and will deal with the trial that Anna, the coven leader, will face. I'm positive that I won't be disappointed. This will be the most exciting trial yet!

The book was fine. But this is the 8th of 9 books--each one about a different witch in the coven--and it's gotten very predictable. Each witch has to fulfill a specific quest she was destined to perform. They all succeed, and they all fall in love (some quite reluctantly) during the course of their trials. This was fine at first, but after several books, it gets a bit monotonous.
