Playing With Fire
A witch put a curse on her. Werewolves want her dead. Ritualistic murder scenes are popping up all over town and they seem to be connected to her. Oh, and there could be a demon trapped inside her.
Chaos isn’t out of the ordinary for Frankie, dragon-shifter, guard for her species and defender of female rights. She can handle the supernatural bad guys that keep showing up. All she has to do is stay alive. Easy. It’s the latest request from her elders that gives her nightmares and makes her blood boil.
How could they even suggest such a thing? It’s ludicrous. It’s archaic. It’s insane. It’s all those things and more. And when the Elders make a formal request they aren’t asking, they are demanding, and refusal comes with consequences.
Can she do it? Can she do this thing they ask without putting up a fight? Only time will tell and she’s quickly running out of it.
