Breathtaking action scenes, heartwretchingly sad moments, unbelievable character development ...
Well, if you are looking for these kind of things, then you better look somewehre else. But I didn't expect this book to be any better than the rest of the odd-thousand other ecchi/action light novels out there. And if you happen to be that one guy that came here not because you know what this book is about and want (or don't want) to read it, here is a short blurb:
Basara Tojo lives a kinda happy and quiet life, after he and his father - former "Heroes" (meaning bad ass swordfighter gaianst demons) left the Hero village to life with normal humans. That is, until his father out of nowhere marries a new wife, and with her two girls show up: Mio and Maria. Unfortunately both of them are demons, and although Basaras father has his reasons to take them in, he simply disappears for a few days, leaving Basara all by himself to life with the two girls, that- as things turn out - are a Devil and a Succubus.
If you didn't know this to start with, and if your ears didn't tingle from hearing the word "Succubus" used in japanese form of media, let me tell you this beforehand: things are getting dirty. And not not your ugly way of dirty, more in the rated R way of dirty. Seriously, I knew that this book is basically ecchi in its purest form, but holy cow ...
If you can't laugh about sexual jokes or sexual situations in or any way don't want to read about girls that that die their little death because of a disobeyed master-servant contract .... well, better look for something different. But if you - like me - can really laugh about this kind of stuff (seriosly, the sausage joke at the end was gold, maybe because of the weird way that some light novels are translated, but anyways) and just want to have a fun time with a book that comes without nervwrecking scenes but with a tonload of fun, go read this.
I mean, this was I think the first light novel that had an action scene that I enjoyed and a finale that I thought of as really cool. So, maybe I will keep reading, for the story, that is ... ;D
It was an interesting book, the battles were good but it has too much fan service for me, the story is good anyways, the past of Basara and the way he is making friends and allies are good, also the ending let you wanna know mre about Basara's father and his past.
