The Human Antenna: Reading the Language of the Universe in the Songs of Our Cells

Rate this book
One of the great mysteries of biology is how the cells in our bodies can act in perfect synchronization. Simply raising your arm requires the coordination of billions of cells. How do so many cells communicate simultaneously and rapidly, to allow the body to act in such exquisite harmony? In The Human Antenna , London-trained physician Dr. Robin Kelly describes the mechanisms by which cells speak to each other. They communicate using electrical our bones and ligaments are in fact semiconductors. This means that they can transmit both energy, like the power cord to your computer, and information, like the cable that goes to the internet. This semiconductive property of cells, first observed by scientists half a century ago, is key to explaining how information can travel from one part of the body to another. This information exchange can happen as fast as the speed of light. Structures in each of our cells pick up and transmit signals from both inside and outside the body, like tiny antennae. Our DNA molecules themselves are semiconductive, and play a role in the transmission of energetic signals. These structures may also communicate back and forth with the quantum fields of the universe. Our intentions and beliefs are part of this matrix of energetic, quantum and cellular communication. The nature of these signals is interwoven with our health, and Dr. Kelly shows how by altering our thoughts, we can influence the messages that our cells are transmitting in every moment, to connect body to soul, and to coordinate with the intelligent universe in which we live.

A little drawn out.

It was a bit redundant and could have been a lot shorter. I liked the content but not the writing so much.

Exciting book that reinforces a lot of my conclusions and ideas that I have acquired in the 82 years on this planet. If you are not frozen in dogma, I hope you can read this wonderful book. I read it in between breaks of "Freedom" by William Safire.

This book is a rare gem by a medical doctor who integrates practices such as acupuncture and energy work for optimal care of his patients. I highly recommend it.
