La Luna non sparirà
UN POPOLO NOMADE
UN LEGAME FORTISSIMO CON LA NATURA
SIBERIA

La Luna non sparirà is a luminous and deeply affecting novel that listens closely to a way of life shaped by migration, stars, and the unyielding rhythms of nature. Set at the crossroads of China, Russia, and Mongolia, Chi Zijian offers an intimate portrait of the Evenki people, whose nomadic existence is inseparable from forest, sky, and season.
What gives the novel its quiet power is the voice at its center. Told through the perspective of the oldest woman of the tribe, the story unfolds as both memory and resistance. Births, deaths, loves, and friendships are rendered with simplicity and emotional precision, while the slow intrusion of climate change and modernity erodes traditions that once felt immutable.
Neither nostalgic nor sentimental, La Luna non sparirà is an elegy for a disappearing world and a testament to endurance. It honors a culture in transition with restraint, empathy, and lyrical grace, reminding readers that some lives are measured not by progress, but by their closeness to the natural world.
