Brandon Brown is dying to drive his father's 1956 T-bird while his parents are on vacation. Will he fool his parents and drive the car without them knowing, and win the girl of his dreams in the process?
SPOILERS!!!! This book is very interesting and funny. Brandon Brown is left with rules which he doesn't listen too. He has many problems he runs into with his dads car which he almost gets away with. You'll have to read to find out what happens to Brandon Brown

SPOILERS: El Nuevo Houdini is a very good book, I really liked how Brandon escaped all of the problems he caused throughout the novel. it was a very funny book with lots of turns!
This book was very good because it was very funny and it had many interesting scenes! Brandon is not supposed to drive his dads car but he still does and he encounters many obstacles. But does he escape all the problems?
this book was very interesting because it was filled with adventure and intensity. I loved seeing Brandon grow up and find different solutions to his problems. He was a little dumb for even stealing his dads car, and basically destroyed his car, he figured out how to solve all of his problems with amazing friends.

SOME SPOILERS. I really liked El Nuevo Houdini. Brandon Brown is the perfect mix of responsible and mischievous. He does a lot of irresponsible and mischievous things, but then he always makes sure he takes care of the problem, even if it means spending a fortune on repairs. I highly recommend to a friend that is trying to learn Spanish.
This was by far the easiest but most boring book I've read for French. There were some parts where the dialogue would repeat the same thing back and forth for 2-3 lines at a time, like when they're talking about how his sister wouldn't be coming to stay with him and literally just keep repeating it to each other. The plot wasn't very interesting, and the characters weren't very smart either, but it was okay overall.
This book was very interesting. Seeing Brandon’s life as a teenager and the problems he faces when his parents go on vacation is very entertaining. I liked this book a lot.
El Nuevo Houdini is a fantastic book about Brandon Brown. Would really want to know what happened to his perro who doesn’t make an appearance in this book.
This Spanish book is probably the best one I've read so far for my class. It had a good plot and I was able to understand about 95% of it. In terms of the story, there were SO MANY red flags with the girl. The way she only noticed him when he had a nice car and not taking situations seriously... Leave her. I was able to finish this book a lot faster than I thought I would. But then again, it was a good book. The only reason why I didn't give this a 5 star is due to the fact that I may have missed details that make the story more in-depth or something like that (since it is in Spanish).

Brandon is not a teenager with a driver's license. His grandmother is spending time with him while his parents are traveling. Though Brandon has his own car he is drawn to his father's 1956 T-Bird which he does not have permission to drive. Listening to his best friend Jake Brandon and mooning over Jamie, Brandon begins to carry-out a series of bad decisions.
Will his parents find out everything Brandon has been up to while they were away?
This book will definitely keep students interested in what will happen next as Brandon makes one poor decision after another.
