Another fast paced, action packed story in this series, it had me turning the pages as this time Detective Lacey Brooks is offered a job to help out Aria and her Wolf Security team and goes undercover to help find more of the Nazi gold bars she is to team up with treasure hunter Kane Devlin, and the sparks fly.

Lacey has been a police officer for ten years now and doing her best to make amends for the life she led before that but when she is attacked by a criminal Lacey is more determined than ever to get to the bottom of this terrible cartel of criminals once and for all, but when she goes undercover to work with Kane she must keep who she is a secret and told not to trust Kane, but as they fight danger at every turn in the treasure hunt through Germany, Lacey sees Kane for who he truly is.

Kane made a big mistake years before and when his grandfather leaves him is antique shop after spending many years with him treasure hunting is in his blood, he discovers a map hidden behind a painting and finally gets to talk to Aria from Wolf Security about it she finally agrees to him going in search for the gold bars but he must go with another treasure hunter Tory and soon they are travelling through old castles in Germany dodging bullets and doing their best to stay alive.

Can they learn to trust one another because their hearts are swelling with love for each other but to do so they must both be honest with each other first but with killers hunting them down they need to find this gold and stay alive, Kane seeks help from an old friend, Archer Mahoney but will he be in time to save them?

This is such a fast paced story filled with danger and a sensual romance and a story that I highly recommend I am looking forward to the next one in the series,

Risky Obsession is the third heart-pounding book in the Wolf Security series. I loved the Alpha Tactical Ops series and jumped straight into this series because I couldn't get enough of the characters and their heart-stopping stories.

I loved this story, full of complex alpha war-torn men and sassy women. It is fast-paced, action packed and will get your blood pumping, in excitement, and the sexual tension runs high.

He's a treasure hunter, and she's undercover while looking for cursed gold. They find themselves running for their lives from the bad guys they thought had ended with the death of Chui, but it seems that beyond death, his connections don't stop.

If you don't read this series or the others, you are missing out on all the fun.

A treasure hunter and the woman pretending to be his partner hope X marks the spot on their adventure to find hidden Nazi gold before a ruthless enemy takes them out in this third of the high octane Wolf Security romantic adventure series. Kendall Talbot keeps up the pulse-pounding danger and sizzling romantic attraction in fun exotic locales once again and I jumped on board with high anticipation.

Risky Obsession is the third of the connected Wolf Security series books. Wolf Security is the follow up to the equally sensational Alpha Tactical Ops series and features a carryover plot thread and several of the characters. I recommend getting both series in order, but in a pinch new readers could jump in on this current series.

Risky Obsession features characters who were secondary characters in previous books, Police Detective Lacey Brooks and Treasure Hunter Kane Devlin. It was great getting to know this pair further as they set out on a treasure hunt in Germany that draws out a few dangerous people who want the treasure and them dead.

On forced medical leave, Aria of Wolf Security asks Lacey to pretend to be a treasure hunter and keep an eye on Kane to make sure he’s legit. Undercover work gets particularly problematic when she starts to catch feelings for her mark.

Kane is not a trusting man when his own parents and sister proved disloyal and his inheritance has brought out the gold diggers. Aria sends him with an attractive woman who has the right answers and hits him between the eyes with their connection, but something is off. He doesn’t have much time to ponder it because right when they hit on some solid clues, someone makes it clear that hunting this treasure is a deadly pursuit.

All along the way, I just knew Lacey’s undercover status would blow up when Kane learned the truth. I confess I didn’t quite understand why there was the necessity for her to be undercover since Kane was already aware that Aria and the others didn’t trust him, but he still sought their help. It certainly created a great deal of tension build up in the romance, though, and no surprise came to a head. Lacey carried around a lot of guilt and Kane a lot of disappointment in those closest to him. I enjoyed this pair’s teamwork and slow build of trust and sharing of their pasts.

I loved the change in setting to Germany and was fascinated by the historic background of the Nazi gold and Goering’s life. And, this was a treasure hunting story so there was a crossover of characters from the Treasure Hunters series which I greatly enjoyed as a reunion with a favorite couple.

I was glad to see there is another book and Whisper gets her story. Will the group led by Whisper and her romance interest track down the illusive ‘B’ and the person who has infiltrated their group unawares? I can’t wait to find out. If a reader wants an adventure romance with a hard pace while still getting well-developed character and romance, look no further.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a perfectly balanced blend of suspense and romance, which together made this one a page turner.
I enjoyed getting to know Kane’s character. Despite Aria’s mistrust of him, he really is just a good guy. And he really does enjoy a good proper treasure hunt. I was rooting for him both to end up with the treasure and with Lacey. But of course it’s never simple.
Lacey is working undercover and as she gets to know Kane, she learns just how much he values honesty. As she develops feelings (this is a romance too, after all), she’s in a conundrum: complete her job as assigned, or break her cover.
Will they survive the unknown attacker that keeps tracking them down and figure out if they can work together, both to solve the mystery of the treasure and as a couple?
This is my favorite yet of the Wolf Security series, and that says a lot. You’ll want to get this one and also enjoy revisiting characters from the previous series, Alpha Tactical Ops.

Once again Kendall knows how to write a great book! She hooks you in from the very beginning and holds your attention until the last page. Kane and Lacey are both strong characters in this storyline, working together to find long-lost treasure and love along the way.

Breathtaking adventure and sizzling romance!

Lacey Brooks is a detective who, much to her chagrin, is currently sidelined from active duty by her captain because of injuries received in the line of duty. Fortunately for her, she is thrown a lifeline of sorts when she is offered an undercover assignment she readily accepts. She will pose as a treasure hunter and work with Kane Devlin, a devastatingly handsome actual treasure hunter, and travel with him to Germany to locate some long-lost Nazi gold bars with a troubling history. Neither trusts the other at first, but as the story unfolds they find themselves depending on each other in more and more dire circumstances. The author, Kendall Talbot, is renowned for creating amazing characters that are in some way damaged or traumatized by their past and putting them together in extreme situations only to have them prevail against overwhelming odds and discover their soul mate in the bargain. This story will have you holding your breath as you experience one dangerous scene after another with our heroes. I was unable to put this book down once I started reading. The action is non-stop, the characters are dynamic, and the romance gradually heats up to a full sizzle. I definitely recommend you treat yourself to a copy of this incredible romantic adventure.

'Risky Obsession' was incredible. It began like a James Bond movie with lots of harrowing action. Furthermore, the thrilling and fast-paced plot was filled with suspense, tension, action, a fascinating escape, tracking down the elusive Nazi gold bars, some hilarity, secrets, suspicion, treasure hunting with a treasure hunter, an inconvenient break-in, a night at the ball, running from danger, a cozy night at home, a harrowing night instead, turning the tables, an uncomfortable confession, more confessions, being tracked by evil men, explosions going off hither and yon, and an out-of-this-world storyline that totally held my interest.
Moreover, Kane and Lacey, the protagonists, were made for each other and gushed with chemistry. In addition, I liked the author's vivid descriptions including imagery, figurative language, perfect word choices, humor, and oxymoronic phrasing such as, "The silent ticking bomb in my head matched the beat of the chopper blades as I gripped the controls tighter," or "His silence screamed down the line," or "Bullets skimmed past our bodies like angry hornets," or "Gunter leaned over and squinted at the map, and his mustache twitched like an anxious caterpillar," and "Kane flashed that grin of his that seemed to crack through barriers. It didn’t look like it worked with this man though." Overall, I liked the riveting narrative.

After nearly getting blown up when criminal account, Grant Hughes, scuttles his luxury mansion, Lacey is sidelined by her police force while she recovers from her wounds. She is saved from weeks of boredom when her friend, Aria taps her to work with playboy Kane Devlin to locate missing Nazi gold bars that the members of Wolf Security have been looking for after a series of misadventures with criminals, led mostly by the evil Chui. Under the alias of Tory Parmenter, Lacey and Kane fly off to Germany to locate the bars based on clues on an old map Kane has inherited from his grandfather. As they follow the clues, it is apparent that they are being followed and danger mounts even as Kane and Lacey begin to have romantic feelings for each other. This book has the feeling of an exciting spy novel and will keep you interested for hours while you are immersed in the quaint beauty of Germany and the excitement of keeping ahead of an intended killer. You can read this great book as a stand-alone, but I would recommend reading the other books in the Wolf Security series, as well as other of the authors earlier books exploring these ex-army members of an ill-fated team. I can't wait to read the next installment!.

When Lacey, a cop stumbles upon the accountant that worked for Chui and almost doesn’t make it out alive, she’s determined to find and end him. Aria asks her to go on a mission while she recovers with Kane, a treasure hunter that has clues to where the gold bars that haven’t been found are located. The two travel to Europe but Lacey poses as a treasure hunter under a false name and as the two grow closer, she has a hard time keeping the lie going. With someone out to end them, framing them for murders and always knowing where they are, the truth has to come out for the two to move forward and to stay alive.
A fast paced read with suspense, secrets revealed, steam and great characters. I liked Kane, he’s atoned for his past mistakes and has become a better man. Lacey has a checkered past as well, but she has also overcome her past mistakes and the two have trust issues, that they both worked out. I liked the little drama that was not over the top and how it all ended for these two with more to come.

Our hero is hunting an ancient treasure, but needs some help. Enter our heroine who might not be quite as she presents herself. Both have trust issues, but when the stakes get high, will they be able to overcome them and truly learn to trust?

This is book three of the series, but it is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required.

This is a romantic suspense story with something of a military theme. The story is well written and easy to read with a fast moving plot that has more than its share of complications for our hero and heroine. The characters are well developed and have a lot of depth to them, including some things that they are going to have to work through. Fortunately, there is plenty of action to keep things focused and the chemistry between our characters is fun to watch. Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable story and I look forward to more from our author.

Rating 4.5 stars. Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. As each story is part of an interconnected series, it would be advisable for you to read the earlier books to appreciate the mystery and suspense. The hunt for the missing gold and the mystery surrounding it continues as the danger surrounding Kane and Lacey/ Tory mounts. I liked Kane from the start, he's protective, smart and a nice guy. But I found Lacey a little annoying, and for a cop who has supposedly gone undercover before, she doesn't seem to have much instinct or street smarts. What was also odd to me was why Aria distrusted Kane when in the earlier book, Indiana and Kane already resolved their misunderstanding and he admitted it was his ego and pride that caused him to do what he did so it wasn't malicious intent so just couldn't get the why behind it. But this was a good fast paced story with suspense, danger, action and some steam.

Fortunately for me, I have received the ARCs for this series from Hidden Gems. I think it helps to read the books in order, because there is an ongoing investigation that is in the background of this series. In fact, I wish I had read the Alpha Tactical Ops series, which is where a lot of the secondary characters come from. This book focuses on Lacey Brooks, a police officer who was in prior books and ends up on leave so takes an assignment with Wolf Security. For this, she is assigned to work with treasure hunter, Kane Devlin, but he does not know Lacey is a cop.
This story is a great adventure, as it takes Lacey and Kane to Europe in search of 80 year-old treasure that they need to work together to decipher clues. There are car chases, bullets flying and rescues that seemed like an action movie. Highly recommend this story, it was a fast read because the story moved so rapidly to get to the conclusion.

Kane and Lacey/Tory end up working together to trace missing gold. Kane was unaware that Lacey was working undercover and from there it gets very complicated.
Add Grant to the mix, who Lacey had come across earlier and somehow she survived their encounter but as she is the one person who could identify him the matter wasn’t closed for either of them.
I felt sorry for Kane as he just wanted to solve the mystery of the map and cryptic clues which he found in his pop’s antique shop.
Throughout all the intrigue I felt for Kane as he had no idea that Lacey was under-cover, I dreaded to think what his reaction would be when the truth came out.
A great story with a fast moving pace, interesting from start to finish.

OMG where do I start. This was so good I loved Kane and Lacey. Kane was every inch the gentleman and protector I loved him. Lacey was a kick ass cop undercover, poor Lacey she did get into trouble for that I really felt for her.
Together they are a great team. I'm glad you got to see a different side to Kane than in a previous book. We are still looking for the gold bars, and we have a new bad guy in Grant Hughes aka Thomas Cooper. The best surprise was when Kendall involved two characters from another book series Archer, and Rosalina, I loved them. I am hoping she does a spin off with all four of them treasure hunting together although I can't Lacey as anything else but a cop.
So we are now hunting for Grant (thomas cooper)
Bring it on, I need my next fix. Hope it's not too long!!.

Risky Obsession by Kendall Talbot has two wounded-by-life-events characters looking to solve a mystery while also reclaiming their souls and hearts. Book three in the steamy Wolf Security Series, this has Kane Devlin a good man but a wrongfully blamed year ago, inheriting an antique shop. I just loved the shop descriptions and the time in the shop for the characters. The secret clues also a big intrigue to keep you reading as the characters go about solving each one to get closer to the stolen treasure that is implied with the map and clues.

Lacey Brooks goes undercover to help Kane, but she is already in grave danger. The reoccurring theme is also part of their story with the missing gold. It might would enhance the enjoyment of this one to have read the previous books. However, Kane and Lacey meet, connect and have their story complete in this book.

Risky Obsession is the 3rd book in the Wolf Security series and I highly recommend reading them in order, not just because Lacey and Kane are introduced in prior books but also because the suspense plot has been continuing throughout, as has the team's search for their missing treasure. With these two wonderful main characters, both fighting to right wrongs from their past, the search comes full circle in that the setting is Germany, the origin of the stolen gold. I loved the vivid descriptions that brought quaint towns and sinister sites to life, the way benign settings turned deadly and the way hesitant cooperation turned to first friendship then love. In the end, there's more than one treasure found, yet loose ends still need tying and I'm looking forward to the next story in line!.

Another action-packed adventure - yay!
One of the things I love about books by this author is the detailed descriptions of locations and settings which always sweep me away . Sometimes I feel like I'm watching the story instead of reading it.
As other reviewers have said, this book can be read as a standalone book, but it's good to know the back story of Chui and the gold from previous books (and relationships) and in the series. They are all great reads, too!
I think more explanation around Aria's distrust of Kane would have been good. His character in this book was much different from what we have read of him in the past. He didn't seem such a good guy previously.
The highlight for me was the return of Archer and Rosalina! That series was my introduction to the author, so I have a soft spot for them.

Kane and Lacey. Shes been the good guy and the bad guy. But after her best friend is killed she becomes a cop and after tangling with a criminal hes out to get her. He was accused of a crime he didnt commit. Now he owns his uncle antique shop full of invaluable objects. In the objects, comprises a painting, in which is hidden a map, a map telling of a treasure. When he seeks Arias help at Hawthorn she refuses to work with him. So enters Lacey, still feeling the effect of her attack, she replaces Aria on the assignment. On their journey they try to resist their attraction while trying to ourun the enemy seeking the map. This read has lots of action, mystery, suspense and passion. As do all Kendall Talbots books. She does know how to write a romantic thriller.

Wow what an adventure! This was so good and a thrill ride of a story.

When he finds a note and secret map, Kane enlists the help of undercover operative Lacey to help track down the treasure at the end.

Torn between duty and honour both Kane and Lacey fight with themselves and each other to do what's right and resist their mutual attraction. But that attraction is very strong and inevitable.

Well written with a great deal of danger, drama and adventure that takes these characters on a real journey of self discovery. I enjoyed their chemistry and the dynamic between them and her team.

So well done and a delight to read!!.

We’re finally getting somewhere with the missing gold bars. Lacey goes undercover with this hot rich treasure hunter, with a misunderstood reputation. They scour Germany searching old castles, are stalked and chased by one of Chui’s men. But they finally get answers. Kane happens to be friends with a couple from Talbot’s other series, the ultimate treasure hunters. Having read both series it tickled to have them join in for a bit in this book. This story about missing gold bars connected to Nazis has lasted for many books and numerous couples, but it’s worth every book. The adventure is intense, attention to detail is amazing and the characters are realistic. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my advanced copy and have provided my review voluntarily.

A thrilling read. I’ve been curious about Detective Lacey Brooks in the last couple of books, so was excited to see her get her own book; however, I wasn’t so wild about Kane Devlin based on how he was portrayed in prior books. Well, I wasn’t shocked to find him completely different than the dishonest scoundrel he was before.

The storyline is addictive and thrilling as Lacey goes undercover to help Kane search for the lost Nazi gold that has been an ongoing thread in so many books.

This should definitely be read in order to understand the connections of different characters and storylines. Don’t jump in and try to read this as a standalone.

This is a fun read that kept me engaged until I turned the last page It is the perfect mix of danger and suspense with a big dose of romance thrown in

Another stand alone story that is so good I had a huge problem putting it down long enough to sleep or do my daily work! It’s an action, thriller, adventure and romance all rolled into one fantastic and believable tale. Two unique people from totally different backgrounds are sent out together, an antique store owner, Kane, in search of the missing gold his deceased ‘pop’ had left him clues for, and Lacey, a recently injured undercover cop, who is sent to go along to keep track of him due to a past incident. He thinks she is a treasure hunter like himself. This story grabbed me right from the shocking beginning to the very satisfying end. Each of the stories in this series is amazing, and I highly recommend reading them from Book 1 to discover how the characters interconnect, while each still remains a stand alone story. I loved it! Definitely 5 stars from me!

Amazing story of acceptance, courage and love. Lacey as a character was exceptionally strong, and compassionate. Kane a veteran treasure hunter was guarded and as every hero is a troubled catch. . During this story attraction towards each other was strained and then exploded as the killers chased them through Germany . Exciting, heartbreaking, emotional story that gripped and enthralled me. Every one of the Wolf Security books has done this for me and I can’t wait for and hopefully there is a next one because yes I am obsessed by this series.

This is Book 3 of the Wolf Security series, and they keep getting better and better. Lacey Brooks and Kane Devlin, both damaged and traumatized by their past, must work together to find some long-lost Nazi gold bars in Germany. They start out not trusting each other but soon can't deny the attraction they have to each other. That attraction turns into passion which becomes steamy. They get into many dangerous situations and it's thrilling to see how they get out of them and if they can prevail in their search. Another great read you won't be able to put down. Definitely recommend this book and the whole Wolf Security series.

What an intense and intriguing ride the author takes us on with Lacey and Kane. As this book picks up where the previous books have left off, I would recommend reading the others first to enhance this one.Both of the main characters carry past hurts but when they find themselves in chaos, can they begin to trust in each other? As always the author’s depth in her writing kept me up late turning the pages with clues, secrets, a map, treasure, hold your breath danger, twists, deception, suspense, evil, sizzling chemistry, resilience and romance. Excellent book and excellent series.

This is the 3rd book in the Wolf Security series by Kendall Talbot and this is Kane (treasure hunter) and Lacey/Tory (Undercover Cop) story. If there is one thing about Kendall's writing that needs to be said, It is she writes a brilliant treasure hunter mysteries! Having said that, this is a stand-alone book, but you would get much more enjoyment by reading the previous 2 books. These two will suck you right in so far that you will be unable to put their story down. This book is a fast, action packed read. So sit back and enjoy.

Riveting Romantic suspense

Lacey is pursuing a killer; she is also hunting treasure. After almost getting killed by a ruthless criminal, she works with Kane on finding Nazi treasure that’s been hidden for decades. Kane does not know she is a cop, and he has been burned by lying women in the past. What happens when he discovers the truth? Ruthless killers are after Lacey and Kane. If they don’t set aside their differences, they might not live long enough to see another sunrise.

This is a gripping romantic suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading the next book in this series. It is sure to be a page-turner.

This series gets better and better! I love the fast paced, action and suspense that each book has. It’s never boring and will keep you on the edge of your seat!
Kendall has done a fantastic job at keeping the plot of each book packed with danger and surprises! And I really enjoy how she writes her characters. Lacey is such a strong woman, and I loved Kane! When she introduced Kane in the last book I was super excited to read his story and get to know him.
The next book is Cody and Whisper’s story and I can’t wait!
