Unable to put down

Stanek has moved to the top of my author list. I've read the first two books in the series and find myself wanting more. As in the first book, he has created more characters that we get to know and love.

Read it. It's worth your time. You totally won't regret it. I can't wait to start the next one.

Exciting thrill ride

Read this if you are at all interested in this kind of book. Stanek spins an intricate web of plots and events that could have been ripped from the headlines. The fast paced action is balanced against the unfolding events as Scott and Eddie get pulled in. As always with this author, the writing is excellent, as are the plots and characters.

Knuckle-dragging, action-packed thriller

The Cards in the Deck series keeps getting better and better. I'd never before thought about the dangers our forces face overseas in this way. Mr Stanek puts you right into the thick of things with our forces in harm's way and Scott Evers doing everything he can to avert even more devastation.

Like thrillers, this is a must read

The first in the series, Devil's Due, was one of the best reads in ages. This second one is even better. The action picks right up where the first left off. The installments are short and very hard to put down until the end. Definitely one where you'll want all the books at hand.

Another fantastic read

The first one was a super fast read and didn't think the author could top it, but he has. The writing is solid, the characters are interesting, the plots good. Every time I think I have it figured out there's a new turn or twist. Highly recommended.

I can only hope this series continues to build on what is a truly breathtaking beginning. The characters are so well done I can actually envision them as the story unfolds.

Better and better, owns all five stars!

Few series get better with each book but this one does. The first one left me breathless and I had to know what was going to happen next. Brilliant writing with tightly spun plots. Love this author.

What a great ride - this should be a movie!

Stanek has crafted a masterful tale of intrigue complete with an adrenaline rush. Scott and Edie are flesh and blood, and you can't help feel for them, or want to urge them on. Written and plotted well. Highly recommended.

Very good thriller

A good action thriller. You'll need to read all four books. The action didn't stop and the twists kept coming.
