Kasari Masari (Hindi)
About the Book
BASED ON THE TRUE STORY OF DREADED UP GANGSTER ATIQ AHMED, WHO WAS KILLED ALONG WITH HIS BROTHER LIVE ON TV
Determined to become gangsters by killing a dreaded don, three youths joined the crowd of mediapersons, posing as journalists. These journalists were covering the event live, and the entire country was watching the prime-time news, when the assassins shot Babar Qureshi and his brother Taimur point-blank.
Who ordered this hit? Who hatched this conspiracy? And who were these men who were slaughtered while in police custody?
Over a hundred cases of murders and extortion were registered against the ruthless gangster Babar Qureshi. But he would escape unscathed every time. Eyewitnesses were bought, or killed in broad daylight, and sometimes the courts themselves were compromised. The police were mortally afraid of his name, and the governments were under his sway.
Based on true events, Manoj Rajan Tripathi’s novel Kasari Masari is a nail-biting thriller about the organised crime industries and political intrigues of Uttar Pradesh.
