I loved loved loved this book! It made me soo sad when I was done reading it. This wonderful collection had 3 amazing stories.

The house is about a ghost woman whose husband has strayed while she was still alive and his lover moves into the house.

Darkness of Eve is about a girl who was in a horrible car accident when she was 4 and her recurring nightmare of a man.

Grey Matter is about a guy who wakes up in a world where he’s stuck inside of a room only with a typewriter.

Each story had its own creepiness making this a fun and exciting read.

This was an absolutely brilliant trio of stories. All three were creepy, and I wished they were longer. All three had a great little twist that completely threw me. My personal favourite was The House, but they were all so good.

This was my first book from Melanie Sue and boy was I blown away. All three stories were great and they all made you think. The home was my favorite of the three stories. However, you can't go wrong with any of the three.

The Home was a story of a woman who sees the ghost of her husband who died in a house fire. However, she is no saint herself.

Darkness of Eve is a story of a woman who finds a girl named Eve, only to find out that the girl is much more than she seems. The only hint is she refers to a mystery man by 'HIM'.

Grey Matter is easily the most fleshed out story as a man named Jack hears strange noises from his typewriter. However, this typewriter reminds him of his past, which hasn't been all that clean. He's in an apartment, but is he there by choice or not?

This set of psychological stories will mess with your head for sure. For the first book I read from Sue, I enjoyed them.

This book contains 3 short stories that have deep and dark horror within. Each story left me pondering about it once it was over. There’s a theme of nightmares and darkness and hauntings.
1. The House
2. Darkness of Eve
3. Grey Matter
My favorite is the 2nd story, Darkness of Eve. It is very creepy, mysterious and really sucked me in with the nightmares!
This book is a fast read and I really enjoyed the authors writing style!

This was a very unique collection of short stories. We had a very interesting take on haunted houses. One of the most interesting I’ve ever seen to be honest. Then there was the story about the terrified little girl in the man who comes after her in her nightmares. The twist at the end of this tale, had my jaw hitting the floor. The collection concludes with a story about a man named Jack, who finds himself in a living nightmare. Will he save himself and be reunited with the woman he loves? I can’t wait to read more of Melanie‘s writing. This was great!
