I’d been looking forward to Allie and Asher’s story since they connected in “Loud Unspoken Memories,” but I struggled with this one. 100 pages in, I was so annoyed. Allie needed therapy SO badly and had been needing it for a decade. Darla was a manipulative, disrespectful brat. Yes, she was dealing with a lot of changes, but she’d been that way long before Allie. Allie needed therapy. Darla needed therapy. Asher let Darla get away with far too much for far too long. It wasn’t until the 83% mark of the book that Allie finally put Darla in her place, which I was grateful for. Even though I completely understood the teenage angst and the rationale behind Darla’s behavior, I struggled to have any sympathy or empathy for her outside of thinking that therapy might’ve curbed some of her poor behavior.

I realize that the majority of people who should see a professional for their mental health probably don’t, so the many unaddressed issues the characters have shouldn’t irk me the way that they do. And I get it: this creates the conflict throughout, but it was challenging to read.

I haven’t felt this emotionally connected to a book in a long time. Tiny Precious Secrets absolutely broke me … but in the best and worst ways. What Allie went through genuinely shattered me, and I cried through a good chunk of it. The writing captured every raw emotion so perfectly that it felt almost too real.

I loved the book - completely and wholeheartedly but I’ve got to say I really didn’t like Asher’s daughter. I get that teenagers go through it and I do appreciate that Asher called her out on some of her behaviour but there were other moments where she got a pass and honestly it bugged me. Yes we saw growth yet I still didn’t like her.

That said I’d still recommend this book in a heartbeat .. just please check the trigger warnings. It’s heavy, it’s emotional but it’s also beautifully done.

I wanted to love this like I did the others, but Darla made it impossible. The story was great, if they made Darla out to be a normal teenager with consequences for her actions it would have been much more enjoyable. It was past 80% before she finally started behaving somewhat respectfully, this honestly ruined the book for me.

“Time doesn’t heal all wounds. I think they should change the saying to ‘time deals with all wounds.’"

This was an emotional story about Allie and Asher. This book has some heavy topics like baby death, suicides ideation, abortion discussions, and all the emotions that go with those.

I did like this couple, but the relationship that was more enthralling in this book is Bug( Asher's teen daughter). Her navigating through all the big life changes and being immature and bratty all while Allie is trying to just be there. I loved watching them grow together as a family.

This was a good ending for this group of characters. It was nice to see snipets of past characters and the kids.

I would love to see a book about a collegeage or older Bug.

Big spoiler ahead:

I like that Allie was able to CHOOSE to keep her pregnancy instead of terminate when finding out the baby wouldn't survive outside of the womb. I just felt like the book almostvilified people who told her to abort. Anyone who chooses to terminate a dangerous or non-viable pregnancy should be able to without judgement

The MMC’s truly horrible teenage daughter ruins this

I was trying to stay positive and wait for “Bug” to get over her aversion to any woman that her dad, Asher, showed an interest in but the author jumped the shark by having her deliberately fall into a swimming pool and pretend that she was drowning because Allie and Asher were sharing a kiss and “Bug” wanted to get her dad’s attention.

Asher was ridiculously lenient with her constant rude and disrespectful behaviour towards Allie and for always putting up with her near endless bratty attitude; I found his approach really off putting and weak.

I struggled to read this and skimmed through most of the book. Was happy that Allie got to experience motherhood after her traumatic first experience.

I DNF’ed this book at 10% because of the way abortion was handled. I was reading on my kindle, so I looked up the word "abortion," and the 8 times it's mentioned, the language that was used felt vilifying. It made me really sad that in a book published in 2025, no one stopped to think, “this could be harmful,” especially in a country where 25 million women currently don’t have the right to an abortion — a life-saving medical procedure. Allie had the right to CHOOSE whether to terminate her pregnancy after learning the baby wouldn’t survive outside of the womb. And anyone facing that decision deserves to make it without shame or judgment from others. It's already an incredibly difficult and emotional situation.

An emotional story

This book had some emotional moments as well as frustrating ones. I found the control Asher’s daughter over their relationship was overwhelming for the story. But Allie’s patience with her was endearing.

Overall, Tiny Precious Secrets was a good read — I enjoyed it and flew through it in just two days because I had to know how it all played out. The storyline kept me hooked from start to finish.

That said, one major drawback for me was Asher’s daughter. For a 13-year-old, her behavior was incredibly disrespectful, and it felt like Asher constantly made excuses for her rather than setting boundaries. His tendency to baby her only seemed to make things worse, and that dynamic pulled me out of the story at times.

Still, the book had plenty of drama and emotion, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys quick, engaging reads with a bit of family tension mixed in.

This book frustrated me with the lack of boundaries and discipline this father had with his bratty daughter. She’s sabotaged multiple of your past relationships and you haven’t thought to, I don’t know, take her to freaking therapy?! Or sit her down and actually talk about it with her instead of brushing it off?
Also - was highly disappointed we didn’t get to see the portion where she told her story about Christopher to her brothers, specifically to Dallas. That could have been such an important, powerful, and healing moment for them both.

I absolutely devoured this book! It was emotional and beautiful.
The only thing I didn’t like about the book was Darla- she was nasty, disrespectful and entitled and Asher should have put her in her place far far sooner. Allie was a saint with her.

Wow... Just WOW!!
I waited to write my review so that my emotions wouldn't be all over the place!! But I can't promise anything... This book had me in my feelings big and hard! Samantha wrote a story with a rollercoaster of emotions.
This single dad, accidental pregnancy, age gap, with a hero that will make you swoon so hard will have you turning the pages so fast.

Allie and Asher have this amazing chemistry that you will feel it from the pages. But the feelings these two go through are something you will feel to your bones.
Allie goes through the highs and lows of emotions while trying to navigate a future she didn't see for herself.
Asher is a single dad of a teenage daughter, and she doesn't make it easy for him. But I do love the way he finds the balance in his life for all the people in it.

This story had me with tears in my eyes, and I am not easy to make cry when I read. I love the way this book was written, and the ending was so perfect!

I’ve been so looking forward to reading Allie and Asher’s story ever since they first met in Loud Unspoken Memories. Allie never thought that she deserved love, true happiness or a family after losing her infant son and being in an abusive relationship. What started out as just “fun” with Asher turned into so much more for both of them. It was heartbreaking to know of everything that Asher went through over the years that led him to Allie. The only reason that I didn’t give the book 5 stars because I truly loved it is because I yelled at the book while reading so many times because of Asher’s daughter Bug. While I understood her hurt, she was so entitled and bratty and anything about her was hard to read. In the end, it all worked out and they are all one very big and happy family.

I loved this book, roller coaster of emotions, a character to hate, Allie and Asher having a connection, that has you rooting for them. With a teenage daughter, his, bringing the challenges.

Allie and Asher have a deep attraction, but it is complicated by outside challenges and obstacles. There is drama, tears, pain, healing, and in the end, a beautifully written love story.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

This story is full of drama, attraction, emotions and dealing with past trauma. Beautifully written story. Absolutelyloved it.

So wanted to like this but….

…unfortunately the MMC’s bratty daughter ruined it for me. This 13 YO child was allowed to behave abhorrently towards any female her dad became interested in. She played endless tricks on them in order to drive them away. The dad does very little to punish her so she continues to do it. I get it - she suffered from abandonment issues - but her dad should have gotten her therapy instead of brushing off her behavior as “just teenage stuff.” Poor Allie suffered terribly at the hands of this brat, often alone since Asscher travels a lot for work. It took way too long for her to come around - not until more than 80% into it, which was just too long to put up with this brat

While I absolutely loved them as a couple…. Darla/Bug almost ruined the book… her dad let her get away with SO MUCH it was ridiculous… she needed counseling or a good A double S whooping or both ….. bc she puts all the caps in B R A T ….. Allie is a literal SAINT …. So yeah that’s why I could only give 3 stars… Asher was an amazing partner EXCEPT when he allowed Bug to be a brat. He was however not a good dad because of the way he allowed her to act… She needed help not coddled and told how great she was …. I wish her redemption had happened way earlier then maybe I could have loved her …

What a hateful creature this daughter Bug is?! And her father finds it cute and amusing. Everyone is indulging her terrible behaviour at every turn. Anyway, Allie had a teen pregnancy with a child with a severe chromosomal abnormality who died shortly after birth. That was pretty well explained actually. It’s +++ traumatising. She’s sworn off all men and having children ever after. But her family is like filthy rich so she floats along and develops this semi-serious situationship with an older man. Anyway, she gets pregnant with twins. It’s PTSD for her. It’s very clarifying for him. And his daughter is just a nightmare.

TINY PRECIOUS SECRETS by SAMANTHA CHRISTY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tiny Precious Secrets is the fourth (#4) book in the ‘Montana Brothers’ series

Asher’s daughter Darla is fiercely opposed to her dad dating and will do everything in her power to sabotage his relationships. WOW! This book! I’m going to start by saying that this is up there with my favourite books so far in 2025, and believe me- I read a lot!

This story has ALL the feels- all of them! I lost count of the amount of times I sobbed and how many tears I shed, not just tears of sadness but tears of joy, tears of surprise, tears of anxiety. Of hope, of fear, of compassion ….

If your heart doesn’t explode and you don’t feel anything by the end of this book then there is seriously something wrong with you.

This book is the perfect end to the ‘Montana Brothers’ series, all of which are emotional rollercoasters and I 5 starred them all! Everything about this series is glorious- the covers are delicious and titles are perfect. The books are the perfect length and the stories are excellent.

I loved Asher and Allies characters and thought they blended well together. Asher is just a perfect single dad and Allie is incredibly strong despite everything she has endured. Bug is portrayed brilliantly as the selfish teenager at the beginning and you can’t help but dislike her. The author dealt with the highly emotional subject matter in a realistic and compassionate manner. Whilst I haven’t experienced this kind of loss it did bring back memories of my pregnancy as a single mum and the fears and uncertainty I went through. I really empathised with Allie throughout. Each hurdle the couple experienced was dealt with thoroughly and fully in a thoughtful and compassionate manner.

** I do need to give a warning here. This book deals with loss and unexpected high risk pregnancy. It is highly emotional so if this is a subject you have experience with, tread lightly **

I’m going to miss this series but am looking forward to everything coming up.
I cannot recommend this book enough!!

Soulmates and sealed fates

There is a lot in this book that hits you right in the feels. If you have experienced or been affected by neo-natal loss I would strongly urge you to look at the potential trigger warnings because there are a lot of moments in this beautiful but heartbreaking story that could be quite difficult to read. That being said, Christy deals with the subject with so much respect and thought, taking such an important and sensitive subject with the care it deserves.

We’ve met Allie a few times throughout this series and Asher and his daughter Bug (Darla) too. The two have been meeting up on the occasions that Asher’s job allows him to travel to New York. It’s honestly the worst kept secret as the whole town seems to know about their clandestine hotel rendezvous’s. Whilst Allie truly believes that she is not destined to love or be loved ever again due to her traumatic past, Asher is determined to make her see just how worthy she is of his love.

There are two problems… Allie’s past and Bug’s aversion to any woman that her dad tries to introduce into their life. Cue a very difficult courtship that’s thrown into further chaos with the unexpected complications that their months of romantic liaisons provides for them. Asher is steadfast in his belief that everything will work out for the best, but as Bug continue her quest to push the new woman in her dad’s life away, is there anything Allie can to convince her boyfriend’s fiery and headstrong daughter that she’s sticking around no matter what she throws at them.

I’ve absolutely loved this story. Sure, I’ve wanted to cry big fat tears at Allie’s devastating loss, but I’ve also loved Asher’s resilience and resolve to love both women in his life despite his daughter’s defiance. He’s truly such an incredible person and father. And, there’s the whole hotter than the sun intimacy between him and Allie that makes him even more appealing.

As for Allie, she’s just so strong. Even though she’s terrified of what the future holds, she faces it with such determination, especially when she realises that the man of her dreams is ready to face whatever reality throws their way.

And you really, really must read the bonus epilogue. It’s so sweet and exactly where I hoped this story would go.

Fantastic book… and a fabulous end to The Montana’s of Calloway Creek mini series. Every single one of these books has been an incredible read. Would most definitely recommend.

I have waited for Allie and Asher because you could feel their connection in just the little teases from the previous book after they first started their situationship. These two were so beautiful together and FOR each other. I really think they balanced the other out wonderfully. They had a LOT stacked against them, which is why I think they kept their relationship the way they did for over a year. Asher's daughter... she's a teenager, I get it, but ohhhhhh I would've lost it on my daughter if she was attempting and pulling off what she did in this book. I give LOTS of props to Allie for dealing with it all with compassion and understanding, even though she was breaking inside from it. She wanted to be more with Asher, but knew how much his daughter meant to him and didn't want to come between them, so she needed her approval in a natural way. Asher was honestly annoying for letting her get away with so much.

Allie had gone through the unimaginable at a young age, so you see why she was the way she was in regards to relationships and not getting too close. My heart broke for her in so many ways. But to see her resilience and strength to be the amazing adult woman she became was inspiring. Asher was definitely that older man who you can just fall easily in love with. He's successful and puts family first, he pays attention to the little (and big) details, knows Allie and her personality inside and out, and loves his daughter.

The way that Allie and Bug developed over the course of the book was definitely a process. I have a 13 yr old son and some days, the teenager is STRONG. I know how badly Allie wanted a relationship and approval from her, but I can see where Bug was coming from. She was scared and had to get there in her own time, but once she turned that corner. Man. Right in the feels.

I’m going to miss this series but am looking forward to everything still to come! I adore this world of Calloway Creek!

✨Tiny Precious Secrets✨
The Montana Brothers #4

By Samantha Christy

✨ Small Town Romance
✨ Single Dad
✨ Accidental Pregnancy

⭐ 5/5

Allie and Asher have been in a fun, easy, carefree, long-distance... something, for quite some time. Asher isn't sure his tenacious teenage daughter is prepared for anything more. But when life throws a curveball, both Allie and Asher must make hard decisions that could affect all three—soon to be four—of them

Asher, a single Dad who tries to make everything work
Allie, a young woman with tragic past that affects her future

Quote: “You are my beginning and my end. My ebb and my flow. My heaven and my hell.”

Asher’s thoughts: Hopefully my daughter believes in soulmates too. Because I wish nothing more for my children than to find someone who completes them as well as Allie does me.

Asher, Allie and their way to the light

This romance is so emotional in every way that exists that is beautiful and tragic with a happy end worth waiting for.
Nobody knows the real reasons behind Allie and her sight of the future. She isn’t one for long term relationships or having babies. The thing between her and Asher is easy, fun, satisfying but not really leading anywhere.
Asher believes in real love and soulmates, and the longer he and Allie see each other even in a casual way, the longer he thinks that she might be the one.
But he also feels that she has secrets and keeps him at arm's length. But that is not his only obstacle. His teenage daughter sabotages every date he has. But there is too much more than just jealousy behind that.
When things take an unexpected turn and a surprise for both comes their way, everything is on the line.
Suddenly they are forced to make things work faster and more real than they thought, and the obstacles are higher than ever.
And when Asher discovers Allie’s secret from the past that could affect their future, he has to find a strength for supporting her he never knew he needed. But succeeds on all fronts.
A true emotional heartwarming and heartbreaking story with such an emotional ending that melts even the coldest hearts. And shows us love conquers it all.

“My heartbeats belong to you. My heart beats for you. Because of you.”

Tiny Precious Secrets is an absolutely beautiful and emotional story that truly touches the heart. Allie and Asher are perfection together—the kind of couple that feels destined to be. I always know I’m in for an emotional journey with this author, and this story was no exception. It was an unforgettable, heart-wrenching read.

“Since the day we met, I’ve felt connected to her on some surreal level. As if we were destined to be together.”

Allie is a wonderfully nuanced character. Haunted by a past tragedy, she fears nothing more than getting close to someone and losing them. So when she discovers she’s pregnant with Asher’s child, she spirals. But Asher’s steady, loving presence gives her the safety and reassurance she so desperately needs. Her patience and tenderness with Bug reveal just how big and generous her heart is.

“I truly believe I loved her even before I met her.”

Asher is dreamy in every sense of the word. A devoted father and deeply in love with Allie, his warmth and strength are unwavering. He would move mountains for those he cares about. Navigating life with his strong-willed teenage daughter, Bug, isn’t easy, but his determination to unite them into a family never falters.

“This. Here. Him. He’s larger than life. He loves like he lives—with everything inside him.”

The chemistry between Allie and Asher is palpable and powerful. Their bond is beautifully portrayed—they support each other unconditionally and work hand-in-hand to help Bug adjust to their new reality. I was completely swept up in the emotional journey the three of them share. It’s messy, heartbreaking, and deeply moving. Watching them grow into a family was profoundly rewarding. Tiny Precious Secrets is an uplifting, heartwarming story that gave me all the feels—and then some.

Tiny Precious Secrets
Emotion overload in the best way!
What to expect:
🍇Small Town
🍇Age Gap
🍇Single Dad
🍇Teenager daughter who doesn't like when dad dates
🍇Secret relationship
🍇Golden Retriever Hero
🍇He falls first
🍇Surprise Pregnancy
🍇She has a troubled past
🍇HEA

Tiny Precious Secrets will pull you through the emotional ringer! It is the 4th book in the series, and I have been waiting a long time for it! I do not want to possibly give any spoilers, so I'm hesitant to give many details on the actual storyline. But... if you enjoy books with these tropes you absolutely can't miss it! Tiny Precious Secrets follow Allie, Asher, and his daughter Darla. (aka Bug) You meet them throughout the series, but this is a standalone, and if you haven't read the others, you can still enjoy this one. Despite how much i love this book, make sure you check the triggers. There are some major ones dealing with child loss, which would be very hard for some to read.

I went through every emotion and cried more with this one than I usually do while reading. I was in awe of the characters and the strength they have while dealing with hard issues. This is a typical Samantha Christy book. She doesn't shy away from heartache, but she always brings it together and makes everything better! You can't help but absolutely fall in love with the new family that is formed by the end of the book.

Asher... What can i say about him? He is swoon worthy! He is my newest book boyfriend. Here is a line that made me fall in love with Asher! I love a MMC who loves his girl with all his heart and will do anything for her!

“Baby, I’m going to treat you with kid gloves for the rest of our lives. Not because you’re pregnant, but because you’re mine.”

You know it is a good book when you want to read it again before finishing the review! Go! Read it! You won't regret it!

Another great story in this series

Well, what can I say! I feel like I waited forever for this book (I didn’t, I was just so keen to read Asher & Allie’s story). And what a story. I don’t know how Samantha does it, but her stories are so full of emotion without the unnecessary angst. Every book has a different story, I can’t even imagine how she does that. She always brings great characters to her stories and this book was no exception.
I loved Asher and Allie from the start and warmed to them straight away. Asher a single Dad to his daughter Darla (nicknamed Bug), he was kind, caring, emphatic, tall and handsome. He was also a great Dad to Bug who let’s just say could try the patience of a saint! I saw on some of the reviews that people didn’t like how Bug was awful to Allie, while that is true I felt it was 100% right for this story and the road to bridging the gap between dislike and love was long and painful, but when Bug came round it just made the story even more emotional and set up the beautiful HEA in a wonderful way.
Allie came from a wealthy family who nearly all work in their wine business, but she was caring, wise and smart. She had a secret from her past that she found hard to share, it was an emotional read when her past came out.
I am not going to give the plot away, you really won’t be disappointed in this book, I couldn’t put it down. Some books have me skim reading, Samantha’s books are ones I will never skip a page, every page is an integral part of the story, you won’t want to miss.
I am so looking forward already to Ava and Trevor’s story, I just love that you get little snap shots of future characters in all the books. Well done Samantha, another great success ❤️

Tiny Precious Secrets is the fourth and final installment of The Brothers of Calloway Creek series. It follows Allie Montana and Asher Anderson.

The way I was sobbing only a few chapters into this book let me know that it would be an emotional rollercoaster. And it was just that. Lol. I wanted to reach through the pages so many times and squeeze Allie. She experienced such a rough loss at such a young age. And she was carrying that grief on her own. That is until Asher came along and turned her world upside down.

Allie’s time with Asher was supposed to be simple. He was supposed to be a good time—friends with benefits. Maybe? After what happened to her, she never wanted to commit to a person again. She didn’t want to put herself out there with the potential of getting hurt. But over time, her defenses weakened.

Asher had a daughter, Darla (Bug), and she was something else. She did not make the lives of her dad’s girlfriends easy. She ran off every other woman except Allie. Allie fought hard to get Bug to like her and accept her in her life. Allie is a stronger person than I am. I don’t know if I could have held on. Lol. I also think Asher let her get away with too much. I understand she was struggling with her own issues, but she was disrespectful to Allie A LOT of the time. She was scared, so I did my best to give her grace. And she’s a teenager, so who knows? 😂

I enjoyed seeing them navigate their new normal. Was it easy? No! They were going through it, but it all worked out in the end.
