As usual, this small town romantic women's fiction series won't disappoint! If you're looking for emotion, strong family bonds, friendships, and feel-good vibes, South Carolina Sunsets is the series for you!
Hey there! Before I tell you all about myself, can I invite you to join my private Rachel's Readers Facebook group? That's where my readers hang out, discuss my books, participate in giveaways and learn about new releases.
So who am I? My name is Rachel Hanna, and I am a wife, mother of three incredible kids (maybe I am a BIT biased?), two lovable doggies and one cat that lives outside and thinks he owns the world. Okay, I also have a gecko now too. Don't judge me.
I started writing as a young child, and I went into the field of Journalism for many years as an adult. Now, as a romantic fiction writer, I get to live out my own daydreams every single day and share them with readers around the world!
I'm a Southern chick living near Atlanta, so I say "yes, ma'm" and "ya'll", but I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
Is there a way an author can be fantastic and get better with each book. I was a little upset these books are so little very fast reads, but Now I want them to go on forever. I have never read an author that I loved this much. I am hooked on this series.
Mutts and Magnolia was such a sweet addition to the series! This book was filled with heartwarming moments, lovable characters, and the perfect dose of charm. The story had just the right balance of small-town life, relationships, and of course, the cutest furry friends. It’s the kind of feel-good read that makes you smile, especially if you’ve enjoyed the other books in the series. With endearing characters and a cozy atmosphere, it was a delightful escape and left me eager to dive into the next book!
While reading the first nine books in Rachel's South Carolina Series, I found myself immediately ordering the next book in this SERIES! Rachel, truly knows how to mesmerize her readers into continuing onward w/her next book, at least within her South Carolina Series. I've already pre-ordered Chasing Sunsets, Book 10, that won't be releasing until 02/28/23. I'll then be able to see the continuing saga of the vibrant & many characters within this Series.
I refuse to DIVULGE any other facts in the story and/or the dramatic ending of BOOK 9, as that would become more than a spoiler!
As I do all her books I love the sweet stories of the people of sea grove How they build on old characters so we still have a glimpse of our favorite characters My only complaint is when. I first started reading the book there were characters that I was not familiar with and then I realized that I had not read books 7 & 8 So maybe a brief description so if someone had not read the other books they would have an idea about the characters but I highly recommend it.
I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of Mutts & Magnolias, the latest in Rachel Hanna's South Carolina Sunsets Series. In this book, we meet Tabatha, a pregnant teenager, who is living with Abigail and Celeste. We also meet Abigail's new man and puppy! And see Celeste's relationship blossom! Overall, I enjoyed this book. The characters all deeply care about each other and are there for each other when needed. While there was one story line I wasn't a fan of, I liked catching up with the characters and community I love! I read this book in one evening with a cup of tea, and I recommend you do the same!
Several new characters arrive in Seagrove and all their lives become intertwined in the small South Carolina town. A new vet arrives to keep his grandfather’s veterinarian clinic open and thriving since he inherited it. Griffin, in the process of adopting a dog, meets Abigail and the sparks fly both good and bad. Life happens and emotions run high. Dawson and Julie find their adopted son, Dylan, has become very withdrawn for no apparent reason. Finding answers is a challenge for the couple. Jainine and William are newly married and are anxiously waiting to adopt a baby. They have a very emotional journey ahead of them. Celeste and Ben have been great friends but they both want more in their lives. Ben’s attempts to “woo” Celeste, are amazing. Tabatha, the pregnant teenager that Abigail and Celeste are helping, hasn’t made the decision about her baby’s future or her own.
The book covers many people in Seagrove and won’t disappoint. There are many good times as well as strong family bonds, but unfortunately, there are sad emotions to deal with. Add in the rescue dogs and everyone’s life is changed.
The storyline was sweet but a bit predictable. The dialogue was hard to follow since it was a bit scattered. Again this author made statements that didn’t logically follow up. Dylan Julie’s son called the girl who had bullied him names during their school parent meeting. Then later instructs her granddaughter to not use hurtful words to anyone. Then she “thinks” that she wished her son hadn’t been the victim of verbal abuse and wished her parents had instructed their daughter like she was her granddaughter! But it was ok for Dylan to call the girl names because she did it first? Shouldn’t Julie have told Dylan that name calling in retaliation wasn’t okay as well? That name calling in any situation wasn’t being respectful? As someone who was repeatedly bullied growing up I may be more sensitive to this subject however I feel this should’ve been addressed. The story itself was again enjoyable if the writing wasn’t so choppy.
I didn't think the South Carolina Sunset Series could get any better but it did with Mutt & Magnolias! Rachel Hanna is such a amazing author, she keeps her readers entertained and guessing the outcome. As with all the books in this series, all the main characters are in this story too. New characters are also brought in, which keeps the story flowing. As mentioned throughout all the books, this small town takes care of each other where people not related by blood is family too!! Just a very good read!!
Meet Griffin and Abigail and their dog adoption dilemma, Dawson and Julie and the issues their son is going through, Janine and William and their adoption heartaches, Tabatha dealing with a teenage pregnancy, and Celeste and Ben possibly attempting a relationship. Heartache, happiness, new relationships, new friendships, and more. A heartwarming story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Oh my another fantastic book. I so enjoyed being allowed to peek into the lives of these characters. My next wish would be a sequel to this story. Tabitha deserves to tell her story as a young courageous lady. Especially if she decides to visit with Janine and baby Madison. I gave birth to my first at 16 and cannot imagine the cottage it takes to love her child so much to allow another couple to be parents.
I chose this heading because that was what Mutts and Magnolias was about. I loved this book, and , like all the books in this series, I didn't want it to end. The residents of Sea grove are so welcoming to new residents and make them feel like family. I loved everything about this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves Rachel Hannah's books as much as I do!!
I just love this series by Rachel Hanna! Each book gets better and better; as soon as you say this is the best book in the series, the next book comes out and proves you wrong by being better than the last.. I can't wait until the next book comes out, but unfortunately be until the end of February. I don't know how I'll be able to wait until then to find out what's going on with the residents of SeaGrove, SC.
Seagrove gets another new resident when a new vet moves in to take over his late grandfather's veterinary business. Ben dreams up new ways to woo Celeste. Tabitha's time is drawing near, and she still doesn't know whether to keep the baby or pursue adoption. Dawson and Julie meet with Dylan's teachers when a return to school leads to changes in his personality and behavior. And so it goes, in the continuing story of South Carolina sunsets, a charming series with happy endings all around.
I really enjoyed this series and surprisingly made it to book nine! I am not usually a fan of series but this one grabbed me. I think this is where I will probably abandon the series. This book was so obvious and plot too simple, I liked this one the least of such a good series. I enjoy the characters, they each feel like family. I’ve enjoyed being in the low country with them all through their twists and turns. But this one is too simple and feels like a harlequin romance.
This series is such an awesome read! I love all the characters and their story lines. And I truly enjoyed this book. Once this series is done (hopefully it's not done yet, I'm not ready ;) ) I will go back from the beginning and start it again and read it through.
These are all pretty quick reads and I wish they were about 3 times longer. But I read so many books for free I sometimes just feel like I should bite the bullet and support an author. The lives of the characters in this series and the set and setting, make for a beautiful escape!
A fast and enjoyable read about Tabatha a teenage girl who is pregnant. She has decisions to make about keeping or giving her baby up for Adoption. The usual warm and caring characters are present as well as The new vet in town. This is a small town story with great characters set In a South Carolina setting and speaks to family, friendship, and love. This is book 9 in the series. Recommended.
4.5⭐️ This book will really tug on your heartstrings! It mainly centers around Tabitha and her pregnancy, Abigail and Celeste romances, and Janine and William's disappointments. There's a little bit if humor thrown in involving a dog, but you'll have to read it to find out. An overall good book that is one of my favorites in this series so far.
I have loved this series but this one spoke to me. I am an adoptive Mom and I relived the days of the birth of my twins. Such a great story with many tears for me. Love the Characters so much. Give the series a try.
I love these people the town so homey and loving makes my heart full. I'm hoping that the next book will not be far behind. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO ANYONE WAITING TO READ good clean love and family life.
Oh what another wonderful continuation to the family and friends on Seagrove. Rachel is so blessed to be a great story teller. Once you start you won't want to put it down.
Celeste and Ben progress in their relationship. Tabatha has some hard decisions to make in finding adoptive parents for her baby. William and Janine are awaiting the arrival of their adopted baby as well. Dawson and Julie confront the parents of a bully.
I liked this book very much. Couldn't put it down. Its a great love series which I always read. It had a few tearful spots. I'm glad it had a happy ending for Janine and William.
I have truly enjoyed Rachel Hanna’s books. Mutt’s and Magnolias was so touching and showed true compassion for a 16 year old going through a very hard decision in her life as well as all the love and support of her friends.
I have enjoyed this entire series and I'm looking forward to reading more books by Rachel Hannah. I especially like that these stories have romance but no graphic love scenes, and I think the characters appeal to all ages.
Book 9 of the growing series and we are introduced to Griffin who moved back to town to take over his deceased grandpa's vet practice. Abigail, Celeste, Tabitha and Janine are the central characters in this one. Cute, feel good, easy weekend read.
Another wonderful book from this amazing author! I love that even though each focuses on one couple, all of the characters are included in each one…truly an incredible series❣️👌🏼💕
This is the first book in this series that I almost cried with. This book has some triggers and some real raw emotions. Even though I have never personally gone through anything like this it was hard to listen to/read.
Seagrove’s population is growing. Everyone finds their place in the “town family”. It is so good reading how everyone gets to the place they belong and the person they are destined to be with. Soooo good‼️💯❤️❤️
I liked getting to know the characters more in each book. I have trouble putting the book down. I keep saying ok one more chapter and I will go to sleep I have read book one to book nine in two weeks time. Can't wait to read the next book.
