*minor spoilers* This is a fun series and I'm glad i didn't stop reading it when I found the first really inaccurate item. Overall well written, but I really wish cozy authors would talk to someone with police knowledge before writing their books, because they're perpetuating false ideas.
For example... we are told that Grant needs to develop PC before arresting someone... and that means "penal code" according to the deputy... no. Just no. It means "probable cause".
Another example... for the millionth time, there is absolutely no waiting period to report someone missing in the US. This idea was literally made up for a movie decades ago and somehow stuck.

I had previously read several of the books in this series, but not yet the finale.
It was great to follow our favorite culinary shop cum fire witch from bumbling beginnings, through settling in, and learning her craft and getting to know her town and callings in different and more intense ways.
There is, thankfully, no equal to her acerbic Granny, and a host of chosen family, friends, companions, cohorts, and a few complex foes.
This was a fun and challenging bunch of adventures - awesome that the quirky witches are mostly thirty plus and enhancing their grooves, and building their survival squads.
This is a 9 book set of stories that will have your emotions covering the entire span…from surprise to dread and laughter to tears.
Devil’s Orchard is a small town along the Pacific coast with regular people running regular businesses dependent on on tourists for a lot of their incomes. There is 1 small difference with this little town, in the forest nearby there is a rift… an opening in the fabric that allows demons to sneak through periodically and only 1 person lives there to sent those demons back where they belong.
Gear up for some mystery and magic as you travel through these books. It’s a fun journey to explore.
This was one of the better series. Characters were relatable, even with the magical aspects. Bobbi was likeable, even when she bites off more than she can chew. The fox and Granny where hilarious, and the romance and best friend vibes worked well too. I loved the interactions between characters and laughed out loud a few times.
