The House on Lindenvale Hill is a dark romance novel featuring a forced proximity trope, marking it the debut book of the Lindenvale Brothers Series.
TARYN:
I’m risking everything, pursuing a job I haven’t secured and chasing a life as unpredictable as the isolated town pulling me in. But when sinister figures lurk in the shadows of my new home and gifts appear uninvited, my paranoia guides me to a bar, where an innocent night spirals into my worst nightmare.
I wake in a secluded house, engulfed by endless orchards, trapped by three dangerously gorgeous brothers who lured me here for a role I won’t accept. It’s not the confinement or caring for their siblings that terrifies me—it’s Colten. The cold, ruthless brother, running the empire and scarred by a past he can’t escape.
Feelings ignite, boundaries shatter, and I find myself unraveling the brother who refuses to let anyone in. I’m torn between choosing the freedom that’s always defined me and surrendering to a love I’ll never outrun.
COLTEN:
Every step is calculated to pull her into our world. One impulsive move to our hometown and she unknowingly seals her fate. We don’t ask for consent—we claim what's ours.
Now she’s here, and I’m losing control, drawn toward a feeling I refuse to acknowledge. My brothers and I brought her to Lindenvale Hill for our siblings, but I can’t deny—she’s here for us, too. The teacher we abducted because people always leave.
She says she wants to stay. I want to believe her. But saying she’ll stay is as easy as leaving, and that’s exactly what I’m afraid of.
Cassidy Cole is known for her dark and fiery romance novels. From a young age, she was fascinated by the vivid dreams and unconventional thoughts that played out in her mind. Now, she brings them to life, weaving these ideas into her books. Cassidy embraces the seclusion of her writing space, where coffee keeps her grounded by day, and wine or beer fuels the night. She lives with her husband and two dogs, finding peace in the shadows where her stories take shape.
…I rated this 5 stars almost a year ago. Fast forward to March ‘26 with it FINALLY in my hands and I knew even before turning the first page in the book it was staying a 5 star read. Taryn set to embark in a new chapter with a promising job moves to Cedar Creek Cove. She’s offered instead a position she should refuse but can’t in more ways than one. Forced to stay and inclined enough to want to explore the allure of the three Lindenvale brothers. What will she do? This book took me on a roller coaster from the start. I actually felt the goosebumps on my arm when then brothers were stalking her. The imagery and the descriptions of the land and house were everything. I found myself not only loving the characters but the story inside the story. All I can say is Colton has won my entire heart. I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet.
I’ve been a fan of Cassidy Cole since Little Ugly Truths, and the teasers she put out of The House on Lindenvale Hill had me hooked before I even started.
Twins that share her? ✔️ MMC that calls her Little Ghost? ✔️ Abduction? ✔️ Chase and punish? ✔️ Apples? ✔️
This book had me in a chokehold and the emotional wreckage I felt while reading was real.
The trauma, guilt and secrets unfold as you make your way through this. What is real and what is assumed?
The apple orchard provides quite a setting 😏
Chapter 29 - you’re welcome.
Colten 🖤 — intense and constantly battling his need for control. Watching his dynamic with Taryn evolve? 🔥
One thing I really appreciated was the way the book tackled heavier themes — something I feel like isn’t often explored often in dark romance.
The one thing I wanted was more between Taryn & Cameron and Brennan.
Overall, this was a dark, emotional ride full of trauma, complicated relationships, and a mystery that keeps you wondering until the end.
4.5⭐️/5🌶️ I would like to thank the author, Cassidy Cole, for this ARC. I loved this book! I first want to say, this is probably the spiciest book I’ve ever read! Super erotic! Woooo! I was like 😳 throughout the whole story! In the beginning, it was a little hard to believe based on Taryn’s reactions to being kidnapped however, aside from that, I could understand why she felt compelled to stay. The why choose moments were extremely hot! 🥵 the Lindenvale men are extremely sexy! The story of their parents was extremely tragic! All in all, I really enjoyed this story and definitely recommend it!
This book completely wrecked me in the best way possible—an easy five stars without hesitation. From the moment I read the dedication, I knew I was about to be consumed, and I absolutely was. Taryn’s story with the Lindenvale brothers is dark, twisted, and utterly addictive. The dynamic between the twins and their older brother created this intense push and pull that had me hooked, especially as tension, obsession, and desire blurred together in such a haunting way. The “little ghost” element between Taryn and the oldest brother was everything—there was something so raw and emotional about being truly seen by someone when no one else does, and it added such depth to their connection.
The story balances spice and plot perfectly, never sacrificing one for the other, and the emotional weight behind it all made every moment hit harder. It’s not just dark for the sake of it—there’s trauma, mystery, and layers of complexity that kept me turning pages nonstop. I devoured this in one day and felt every high and low right alongside the characters. If you love morally gray men, possessive energy, and a story that pulls you into the shadows and doesn’t let go, this one delivers in every way.
Thank you Cassidy Cole for the opportunity to read this ARC !
So grateful to be able to read this ARC!! I was a BIG fan! I feel like this book had everything! Kidnaping, romance, SPICE lots of spice, a little mystery murder situation… Taryn really went thru it and of course the hottie brothers 😍🍎 LOVED
A big thank you to the author for this ARC and letting me read it in advance of the release date. This is my honest opinion of the book, that I really think delivered on my expectations. Minor spoilers ahead.
Some books pull you in slowly. This one quietly opens the door, lets you step inside… and before you realize it, you’re emotionally entangled with three brothers, a complicated heroine, and a house that feels like it’s holding secrets in every corner. 🏚️✨
First, I have to talk about the writing, because this is where the book truly shines.
Cassidy Cole’s writing is incredibly smooth and immersive. The story flows effortlessly, and the descriptions are detailed without ever feeling heavy or overdone. I had no trouble picturing the house, the surroundings, or the characters. Everything felt vivid and atmospheric, like stepping into a quiet, slightly unsettling small-town world where something deeper is always simmering beneath the surface.
It’s one of those books that’s very easy to read, but still feels layered and intentional. The pacing works well, and the emotional tension builds naturally throughout the story. I never felt rushed, but I also never felt bored. The balance between character development, tension, and relationship dynamics was handled really well.
And one of the things that really elevated the atmosphere for me was the secrets of the past. The mystery surrounding the disappearance of their mother added this haunting, almost ghostlike presence throughout the story. It lingered in the background, quietly shaping the brothers, the house, and the emotional tension. It gave the book an extra layer of depth and unease that I absolutely loved. It wasn't just romance, it felt like stepping into a family history filled with unanswered questions and emotional scars.
Now… let's talk about the relationship dynamics.
This book features three MMCs, but it’s not your traditional why choose. Instead, there’s a sense of experimentation and emotional exploration between Taryn and all three brothers. However, the true romantic focus is clearly Colten, and the story is structured in a way that makes it feel like the beginning of a larger interconnected series.
And honestly? I loved that.
It feels like Cassidy Cole is carefully laying the groundwork for future books, and I’m already very curious about Cameron and Brennan. Each brother feels distinct, with their own personalities and emotional layers, and I’m genuinely hoping we’ll see their stories explored further. The dynamic between them adds another layer of complexity to the story that kept me very invested.
That said… this is definitely one of those books where you need to leave your feminism at the door.
There are quite a few questionable decisions and dynamics that might not work for every reader. Some moments made me pause and raise an eyebrow, but they also fit the tone of the story and the characters involved. It creates a slightly uncomfortable, tension-filled atmosphere that actually works well within the world Cassidy Cole has built.
Another aspect I really enjoyed was the younger siblings. They added a softer, more grounded element to the story and made the family dynamics feel more realistic and layered. It’s not something you always see in romance, and it brought a refreshing and heartfelt touch to the overall narrative.
Also… there’s a dog. And everything is better with a dog. Always. 🐶
And we need to talk about the spice. Because wow.
The spice in this book was immaculate. Toe curlingly good. The kind that sneaks up on you, builds tension, and then delivers in a way that feels completely earned. It fit the tone of the story perfectly, adding to the intensity between the characters without overshadowing the emotional development. It was hot, compelling, and very well written, which made the dynamics between Taryn and the brothers even more addictive to read.
However, I do have one thing that kept this from being a five-star read for me.
As a dog mom, I struggled with the fact that Taryn wasn’t more bothered by Colten essentially claiming her dog as his and not allowing her to have him at the house. That felt unrealistic to me, and it pulled me out of the story a little. Personally, I would have expected more resistance or emotional reaction from her, especially considering how attached most people are to their pets.
It’s a small detail in the grand scheme of the story, but it stood out enough for me to knock the rating down slightly.
Overall, The House on Lindenvale Hill is a beautifully written, atmospheric romance with complex dynamics, compelling characters, and a strong foundation for what feels like a very promising series. Cassidy Cole has created a world that’s easy to sink into, and characters that leave you wanting to know more.
Secrets from the past, haunting family dynamics, toe-curling spice, and layered relationships… this one kept me completely invested from beginning to end.
A solid 4-stars for me. I will definitely read more of Cassidy's books.
I really enjoyed this book! The overall story and romance was surprisingly sweet💕 and a good amount spicy 🌶️I say surprising given the trigger warnings and dark setup prior to the bulk of the plot.
To me, this is definitely dark-lite 🩶 Despite the dark elements (ie stalking with drugging involved, kidnapping and microchipping etc), the author really softens the blow of anything dark for the reader. By this I mean consent check-ins even though FMC is technically captive, apologies, sweet moments with all the characters, and a lot of thoughts from the FMC about how she's feeling so the reader knows she is not traumatized and moreso intrigued pretty early on🍎
I loved the familial loyalty and love, and how that begins to include the FMC with found family vibes, and overall I liked all the characters! As for the spice🔥 I thought it was well written and fun, and makes the transition from MFMM to MF relatively smoothly- I haven't seen/read much of this particular trope before so that was fresh!
I rated 4⭐ just for a couple of reasons 1. There really was a lot packed in here, which does mean less detail or background on certain plot elements as there isn't as much time for them-examples being: -how they actually managed to choose the FMC and get her to move to town (a lot of suspended disbelief) -The drama of the missing mom- that it all gets resolved really quickly at the end seemed a bit rushed as well 2. Given the dark-lite vibes I was getting from pretty much the whole story, some of the plot items rubbed me the wrong way, including the microchip- that's something I feel like would have been a way bigger worry/issue than it was, and also there is nothing that would lead me to believe this is something these characters would have access to so I just got pulled out of the story a bit.
That being said, some suspended disbelief and glossing over of things is pretty usual overall in a romance read for me, and I think this was a fun book and look forward to more from the characters and the author! 💜

The House on Lindenvale Hill was thrilling, hot, and surprisingly emotional in a way I did not expect going in. The premise alone is wild! Taryn moves across the country for what she thinks is a teaching opportunity, only to be tricked and essentially kidnapped to become a nanny for a family with a dark past tied to their massive apple orchard. It sounds chaotic (and it is), but the story leans heavily into found family, emotional connection, and healing in a way that really worked for me. Taryn was such an easy character to love. She’s someone who has spent her life moving around, never really putting down roots, and you can feel how deeply she just wants to be loved and cared for. Watching her build connections with the children was one of the sweetest parts of the book. Colten was equally compelling. He’s been forced to grow up too fast, carrying the weight of his family, the business, and his siblings. He doesn’t trust himself to love, but the way Taryn slowly breaks down those walls was so satisfying. And the dynamic between the brothers added another layer of tension and heat, making everything even more intense. The mix of dark romance elements of kidnapping, stalking, morally gray decisions, and the softer found-family moments created an addictive reading experience. The pacing was fast, and I absolutely devoured this book. There were so many standout scenes, but the hayride moment was a favorite. It perfectly captured the mix of tension, emotion, and connection that made this story so engaging. I genuinely don’t have any critiques. I loved this from start to finish and am already hoping for more stories in this world (Cameron and Adelaide, please). If you enjoy dark romance with emotional depth, strong character connections, and a bit of chaos, this is definitely worth picking up. Thank you to Cassidy Cole for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of The House on Lindenvale Hill. All thoughts are my own.
What I love about authors is when their dedication pulls you in just before the first chapter. The trauma, guilt, secrets, complicated relationships, and mystery will have you on your toes until the end.
Taryn has spent her whole life moving from place to place until she ends up in Cedar Creek Cove. She thinks she moved to be a second grade teacher but that’s not why she is there. Taryn is taken by three hot brothers to be a nanny for their siblings Elena and Tristen. Elena and Tristen are kids who need someone in their lives to make a difference, to bring light back into their lives. They lost their mother Jane and the father is in prison for supposedly killing her.
Of course when you are abducted against your will you have to follow these rules:
Rule number one: Ensure they are happy at all times. Rule number two: Convince them everything is normal. Their minds are fragile. Rule number three: Trying to escape and acting out will not be tolerated, and you will be punished.
Cameron, Brennan, and Colten. 😮💨 Brothers are definitely hottttt asfff but Colten the man that you are. 🥵
“Unlike my brothers, I don’t share. If and when you find yourself being punished by me, I will be the only one you submit to. I’m not as forgiving as they are.”
Colten has been afraid of love ever since he watched the night his mom leave and never return. He thinks he knows what happened that night, he’s been carrying on all the battles by himself. He’s the oldest so he wants to make sure his siblings are taken care of that’s why he went with the idea of taking Taryn. But what he doesn’t realize is she will be the one to bring him back from the darkness that consumes him.
Tropes: 🥀 MMFM but only ends up with one 🍎 Chased through an apple orchard 💀 Obsessive MMCs 🥀 Found Family 🍎 Virgin FMC 💀 Stalkers
This book was absolute PERFECTION. I was so excited to sign up for this ARC, because the tropes & teasers just sounded brilliant. We've got:
-three stalker brothers (2 are twins) -they abduct her to nanny their younger siblings -she's trapped in a Victorian mansion on a giant apple orchard -found family -they share her... but she only ends up with one -"Little Ghost" -primal play & microchipped tracking -virgin FMC x kinda slutty MMC 😂
and y'all, this book is a RIDE. We have the main plot where our FMC Taryn is basically stalked and abducted by brothers Colten, Cameron, & Brennan to be a nanny for their younger sibs. There's also obviously the plotline based around her relationship with the three of them - and eventually just Colten. BUT there's also this wild murder mystery surrounding the Lindenvale family's mom, Jane who was supposed killed by her husband/their dad. Even with all the moving parts and different twists, everything flows really smoothly and it was a super easy + fun read.
The spice was 🥵🌶️🔥. I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous about the whole "they share her, but she winds up with one" trope - but it worked REALLY well in this situation. You can feel how different Taryn and Colten's relationship is compared to her relationship with Cameron and Brennan. The chemistry and emotional connection really come through and it's so special to see how much they both open each other up to the idea of love & planting roots.
Honestly - this book really had it all. Action, emotion, mystery, spice, suspense, some good humor & banter, super cute moments with the kids. It's a great start to the series - I'm so excited to read about Cameron & his muse in book two. 👀
Where to begin. First off had me hooked since the begining from her Author Note & Content warning about Rossco. I would have been able little upset if Rossco didnt survive. She caught me off guard since the FMC did not end up with the male character I thought she would have been with for the first couple of chapters. Either way it was still good who the male character was without any spoilers. This book makes you reflect on how you see others around you. For instance it took Taryn the FMC to go through some things to realize the relationship with her parents is still one of love and affection. And although you think you may know the answer to why something has happened and you was there at the time, it does not mean you truly know what happened. And that trauma can be a cause of why you truly do not have all the answers. Colten learns this lesson throughout the story. The brothers could have went about their plan a simple way but these Morally gray men needed to go on a more adventurous path to get the FMC to them. Everything these men do is for their family and nothing will stop them from taking care of them. The characters has to conquer their feelings and accept that where they are, is where they are meant to be. Old wounds open back up but it doesnt stop this family from caring about each other and pushing forward. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a new read. And I will be waiting for book 2 to come out
This novel is bananas—the kind of wild, unpredictable ride that completely grips you. I’m new to Cassidy Cole, but if this is the kind of story she writes, we’re about to become very well acquainted.
I have to be honest—I must have said “WTF” at least half a dozen times while reading. The sequence of events is suspenseful, frightening, warm, endearing, spicy… and absolutely unhinged in the best way. This book is a tornado, and I loved every second of it.
The Lindenvale brothers and their children are anything but conventional—far from it. So when they lure sweet, innocent Taryn to their home, you feel that knot in your stomach immediately. You just know nothing good can come of it. This will inevitably end in disaster and tragedy. It has to. Right? You want to read to find out. Trust me.
Mrs. Cole mentioned that this novel came to her in a dream and that she worried the premise might not be believable. Personally, I read fiction to escape. I don’t need it to be believable—I just need it to entertain me. I need the characters to reach me. You accomplished that.
Romantasy isn’t “believable” either—there aren’t dragons flying around in real life. So please, don’t ever let believability stop you from writing a novel.
Received ARC from author Cassidy Cole (thank you again)
From the start this book had me in a chokehold; idk what it says about me but twins that stalk the FMC and then kidnap her definitely not a red flag; especially when they “had” a good reason (don’t come for me I said what I said)
This is a dark romance, but it doesn’t shy away from some of the struggles we all can deal with: depression, fear of opening ourselves up after heartbreak, the feeling of being trapped in your surroundings. Dealing with the pressure of family and business at a young age.
The men of Lindenvale : twins Cameron and Brennan had me giddy but their older brother Colton just stole my heart. I loved watching all three of their interactions with Taryn. And when we get to the spice factor I stopped keeping track because holy cow this book is spicy. This book is for the readers that enjoy when the MMCs share, readers who like me choose to believe our girl didn’t suffer from Stockholm syndrome and that she honestly fell in love with the family. This is book one and our FMC does end up with one brother (no spoilers) but we will be seeing another brother (or brothers) in the next book and honestly I’m so ready for it!!
The House on Lindenvale Hill was my second ARC read ever and I have to say this was absolutely amazing!! @cassidycoleauthor is a wonderful author!!
Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Spice 🌶🌶🌶🌶 4/5
Release: April 14th, 2026
Okay y'all I absolutely devoured this book. Like finished it in less than 48 hours devoured. It was that good.
Taryn (FMC) is one of the most relatable female characters I have had the pleasure reading. She was real and raw in a way that I feel not all authors can quite capture. I really felt that I understood her in ways I didn't even realize I would. I felt like I was inside the book in Cedar Creek Cove with the Lindenvale family it was so well written.
Now the spice was astounding🔥. I definitely was not expecting what happened and I was pleasantly surprised 🤭 with the dynamics of the sharing that went on. Normally I don't like the sharing and then she has to choose but this was perfectly written and I sincerely enjoyed the ending.
Colt (MMC) was amazing to read. I love the way he is portrayed as a panty dropper on the outside along side the twin brothers Cameron and Brennan, but a big giant teddy bear on the inside. 🤤
All in all Cassidy this book was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to see what's next!!!❤️
OMG! Cassidy what have you done to me. This book had me laughing, Angry and in tears. I don't cry at books, it takes a lot.
This book pulled at my heart strings in more ways than one. This is the 1st book for the Lindenvale Bothers series, and I already can't wait for book 2!
Colt, Cameron & Brennan will all have a piece of your heart by the end and will be wanting so much more of them.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥🔥🔥
"The Crow and the Apple?" The crow and the Apple ...
Cedar Creek Cove is waiting. Meet Taryn, Colton, Cameron, and Brennan on April 14, 2026!
The House on Lindenvale Hill is a nanny romance book with a twist, featuring a forced proximity trope, three morally gray brothers who keep her captive in the center of their apple orchard, and marks it as the first book in the Lindenvale Brothers Series.
They share her (but she only ends up with one) 3 brothers > 1 set of Twins Nanny Abduction Obsessive MMCs Stalkers New town Chased through an apple orchard Forced proximity Found family
100% highly recommend this book! It does have Trigger Warnings so please read before going forward. Your mental health matters and what u like you may not!💋
I’m still reeling from this one. The House on Lindenvale Hill is pure perfection—it’s one of those books that just draws you in and keeps you there until the very last page. The story follows Taryn, who has spent her life moving from place to place. She’s never known what it means to actually set down roots, a habit she picked up from her parents. Then she meets Colton, the oldest of six, and everything changes. Watching Colton become her "roots" was so incredibly moving. He calls her his "little ghost," and honestly, their chemistry had me breathless. This family has been through so much, and you really feel the weight of their history. The bond between the siblings adds such a deep, emotional layer to the story. And for those wondering... the spice is absolutely spicing. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ It’s intense, emotional, and exactly what I needed. I seriously can’t get enough of this family and I’m already dying to see what Cassidy Cole has up her sleeve next. If you love a story about finding home in a person, go read this immediately!
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
I’m giving this a 5/5⭐️ and 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Thank you so much Cassidy Cole for giving me the opportunity to be an ARC reader for you!
When I tell you ate this book up, l mean it! I was enthralled from the very first chapter. I found myself gasping, blushing, kicking my feet, squealing, and several times even crying.
The details and imagery made me feel like I was actually in the attic tower looking out the window to the cottage, or running through the endless rows of apple trees across the orchard.
The FMC, Taryn, has always been a ghost in the wind. When she relocates to Cedar Creek Cove to pursue a teaching job, she's propositioned with an opportunity that she should run from, but can't seem to refuse.
This story has so much suspense, spice, drama, and emotion. By the end, I found myself so attached to the characters that I didn't want to finish it, but something tells me this isn't the last we will see of the Lindenvale family.
So I picked up another book by this author, Little Ugly Truths and loooooved it and didn’t actually realise that this was written by Cassidy until I stalked her socials. This actually was one of my most anticipated books of 2026 just down to the blurb, I didn’t even look at the tropes.
The story sucks you right in, I like how fast paced the start is as it keeps its momentum all the way throughout. I think we could have had more between the twins and Taryn, but I do understand that the goal was to choose only one. I liked the small snippets of the twins too and as it states in the acknowledgement we are getting more of them.
These characters are complex and complicated, having dealt with a lot of trauma and I’m glad they get the closure they deserve. I do think we could have dived more into Taryn and some of her previous life story, same with Colton - but the pacing is really good and one thing I like about this book.
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ It has been a while since I've read a full on smutty book, and I'm not disappointed to have broken back into it with this book. It had more plot than I'd expect, which is what made it so enjoyable.
Taryn our fmc is a woman who feels like she has no home - distant parents, no career holding back, no other family or love interests. She comes to WA for a job only to find out it's all a lie, and the family who really brought her here are associated with a known murderer. The mmc, Colten, and his brothers drug, kidnap, and microchip her. If you're feeling like 🙄🙄🙄, don't because they have a good reason that'll melt your heart and make you like every single one.
Totally would recommend if you're looking for a super spicy book with a plot that is enemies to lovers, mmfm (temporarily), found family, and obsessive/he falls first vibes.
Thank you to the author for sharing this ARC with me.
This story follows Taryn a young teacher who decides to move across the country for a new teaching opportunity and a change in scenery. She finds herself not only not getting said teaching position but abducted by 3 brothers (Cameron, Brennan, and Colten) from a local family of apple growers. These three brothers have plans for her to nanny their younger siblings so that they can continue their grueling work schedule at their family orchard. This book is a spicy reverse harem so it has plenty of spice, dark emotional trauma, mystery, secrets and was an overall good time.
This book was a rollercoaster of emotions nearing toward the end. My heart was pounding in my ears thinking this was the end and I’d be crying! But that wasn’t in the cards — yet. Finding out the truth hit me HARD like a dang freight train and I felt it in my soul. I’m happy they got their answer, the truth behind the mystery, even if it was devastating for all of them, even Taryn.
I loved, loved, LOVED this book and I look forward to learning more about the twins, maybe even Jessica, Tristan, and the little one, Elena. Oh! Could we also get a story about their mom and dad, too? I would love that so much! Keep up the great work! ✨
As always, I am grateful to receive an ARC and this book will forever be something i recommend because it sucked me in from the beginning and had me obsessed and i couldn’t put it down. Cassidy Cole knew exactly what she was doing with this story and with Cameron, Brennan and Colten😍🥵
Taryn always on the move looking for her next place to temporarily put her roots down, stumbles upon a rental she can’t pass up. The small town of Cedar Creek Cove isn’t what she expects when she finds herself drunk…and drugged.
Cameron, Brennan and Colten are brothers who would do anything for their family and that includes trapping Taryn! The bond the Lindenvale family has following a horrible incident five years ago is so heartwarming.
Colten Lindenvale is everything broody and serious as he is battling his inner demons. He was my favorite brother from the beginning!
This story is all about found family, over coming your demons and loving someone for all they are. I already can’t wait to see where book two takes us
This had all the ingredients to absolutely ruin me; creepy atmosphere, forced proximity, possessive brothers, and dark why choose vibes, but it never fully got there for me. The premise was strong and the beginning had that deliciously unsettling tension, but I kept waiting for the emotional intensity and character depth to hit harder. The obsession was there on the surface, but I didn’t feel it the way I wanted to. Colten had the most potential, but even he needed more emotional depth and a stronger unraveling arc. Not a bad read at all just one that felt like it could’ve been so much darker, messier, and more addictive than it ended up being
I received an ARC of this book. Thank you!! I had been anxiously awaiting its release. It was every bit as good as I was hoping it would be. Our FMC is kidnapped by brothers looking for someone to be the nanny to their younger siblings after tragedy hits the family. It is why choose with twins and the older brother, but she only ends up with one. As others have reviewed, I was unsure how I would like that, but it worked perfectly in the story.
The story and character development was fantastic. I LOVE each of the brothers and the ending was perfect!! I can’t wait for the next book!!!
4.5⭐'s rounded up Wow! After reading the acknowledgements from the author, I felt the very same way. These characters, this book had me in a chokehold from the very beginning. Check your trigger warnings because it does get dark, a tad twisted and super spicy(in only the best way). I don't want to say too much to give up the story. However Colten was my favorite from the beginning. Trust me just sit back and enjoy!! I think this is going to be the start to a great interconnected series. I cannot wait to see what happens with the other brothers. It looks like there were some Easter eggs thrown in there so I'll see if they do come true!
Taryn has always been on the road, never stay more that one year the same place, and she does not hesitate when a new teaching job appears in her lap. Colten and his 2 twin little brother Cameron and Brennan is looking for a nanny, there will stay forever and what better way to secure it than to find the perfect girl who has no one and kidnap her, but how do you keep the free bird?
Sooo this book just had everything, it was so amazing written 🥹 the story was fun and so exciting and I absolutely loved them all ❤️ It was a easy 5/⭐️ for me 🥹
This book made me feel hot, giggling and excited 🤭🔥
This book was amazing ! Cassidy knew whats she was doing when she wrote this book. From page 1 she pulls you in and does not leave you hanging. This family lives rent free in my head. While the methods the brothers used was not ideal to get tayrn to hire her as the live in nanny for the two youngest siblings. But when the brothers find something they want boy do they go for it full force by any means necessary. Do not even get me started on them spicy scenes because holy hell they were the chefs kiss to the whole book. I seriously can not wait for the next book cassidy writes.
ARC review: loved this book and am already heavily invested in the rest of the series for all the Lindenvale siblings stories. I have never read a why choose turned she picked one romance and in general I am a sucker for a kidnapped dark romance. I also am a sucker for a broody as heck eldest sibling turned head of family - because as an oldest child I can relate to taking on a parental outlook with the younger sibs.
I literally did not see what was going to happen at all! This book was wild from page one honestly like in the best way. You mean Taryn who never can stay in one place and just wants to be on an adventure always. But never will stray away from her pup!
When you meet the brothers, I really thought the book was going one way and Cassidy said SIKE. This was filled with lots of trauma but in a way to process and I loved it!
I knew it would be a good read before reading this book from just the promotional videos and the excerpts and I was proven right. I was so excited to see that i was chosen to receive an ARC.
This book was so good. It revolves around healing from the past and making mends, creating a brighter future going forward. It has a bit of mystery and lots of tension.
I was not ready for this book to end so quickly. It just felt like i was just getting started. I really hope another book comes out.
