Dead Man’s Hollow, Pennsylvania, is ruled by the Kings of Anarchy MC. If you dare to enter their territory, beware, they won’t hesitate to protect what’s theirs by any means necessary. Because nobody f*cks with the Kings!
Stone was minding his own damn business when he witnessed a woman being beaten by a man. Worse, it was in front of her young son. With zero tolerance for woman beaters, he stepped in to teach the a-hole a lesson. Only, that lesson landed him in prison for thirteen long months.
When finally released, the woman he never expects to see again hunts him down to thank him for saving her. While no thanks is expected, he sees it as an opportunity. He needs someone to help with his own kid after his daughter’s mother got thrown behind bars herself.
They strike a deal that includes Taryn moving in temporarily to take care of his house and daughter in exchange for him protecting her and her six-year-old from her unhinged ex.
But what starts out as a mutual agreement, turns into a roller coaster ride. Because nobody f*cks with the Kings or what belongs to them. Nobody.
Note: Property of Stone can be read as a standalone. Since the KOAMC is a 1% motorcycle club, expect plenty of action, mature situations and a guaranteed HEA, but as always, never cheating.

If you like unapologetic alphaholes, lots of action, and hot smexy times I've got the book for you! Jeanne St. James does it again with Property of Stone, the thrilling first book in her new series, Kings of Anarchy. This is an MC read with the darker elements that go along with a 1% club. The story immediately gripped me and was difficult to put down. The two MCs are from completely different worlds and their futures intertwine, seemingly by fate, and manage to fall in love in spite of themselves. Just a great read. I'm really excited to see who is going to get a book next!
His brother was mentioned sporadically and it didn’t make sense to add him to just help with one tiny part of a plot that honestly wasn’t necessary. The author tried to fit years worth of “drama” and gore into a month and a half? Sunny was down right annoying. How many times does the author need to repeat the same exact sentiments throughout the book. It almost felt like when a toddler is telling you a story they made up. Do not recommend.
This one threw me at first. I've read other MC books by this author and they are slightly bad, cleaning up or are cops and ride in their MC while fighting crime. I didn't read the blurb to this one, assumed it would be the same. It so wasn't, which is why it threw me. Once I got my head wrapped around them being a full 1% MC, didn't give a fuck what others thought of them or what they did, it was fine, just needed to adjust my thinking.
Stone both drove me nuts and I liked him. I liked him because at the start, he jumped into help Taryn, not knowing what was going on, other than a man was beating on a woman and he needed to stop it. He paid a high price for it, a bit over a year in jail. He drove me nuts in that is basic personality is one of my way or the highway and he steam rolled those around them. And then there is his favorite saying to call kids...nut nuggets. That drove me nuts (pun intended!) every time my eyes found it on the page.
Stone again helped Taryn, later, but he very much benefited from the arrangement, getting help with his daughter and you could tell right away, he was angling to get into Taryn's pants. I was a bit surprised by how fast that happened. Despite my issues with Stone, these two managed to build something and that is even when Taryn got an up close and personal view of some of the bad things that happened. She did see the good, like when Stone signed up the prospects to help her with the business and how everyone jumped in at the end with the drama.
Deliciously Violent, Gritty, Soulful and Obscene; Jeanne is the MC Queen and I'm never disappointed in any of her stories she always crafts the storyline with the delicious spice which always delivers a 5 star story you don't want to put down! Stone VP of the Kings of Anarchy, they live by their own rules. He doesn't deal with Men beating up on woman and when he sees Taryn in a parking lot getting beat up by her ex-husband he steps in. 13 months later when he is released from the pen, Taryn goes searching for him to thank him. They strike up an agreement so she can stay protected but feelings get in the way and a family Stone maybe not always wanted now gives him hope.
Taryn and Stone. I went into this book knowing I would get a story that would take me on a ride. I was not disappointed. Jeanne St James has this way of writing MC romance that is like no others. Stone is a man who has no rules other than what his club gives him. His club follows their own code. But that does not include disrespecting women. When he sees a woman who is nearly unconscious from a man in a parking lot, he intervenes. His action gives him more than he bargained for. Fast forward almost two years and he never expects the woman to show up again. This time with a thank you and maybe some payback. I loved this story. Stone is definitely rough around the edges but he might just be a softie ( don’t tell him I said that). Taryn makes him want to be a better everything. And I love when that happens. Taryn is the one who can handle everything he dishes out and more. She might not think so but her resilience is astounding. I can’t wait for more from these brothers and hopefully see more of Stone and Taryn.

************************************************************************* Summary: MMC witnesses FMC being physically assaulted by her ex-husband while meeting up for child visitation. He attacks her ex-husband and receives thirteen months in jail. Upon returning home his daughter's mom is put into prison. He then has to take care of his ten-year-old daughter.
The FMC comes to the mc to thank the MMC for saving her life. They come to an agreement: the MMC will provide protection for the FMC and her son in return the FMC will act as a housekeeper/babysitter for the MMC. All of them will live together in the MMC's home.
This is the story of combining two families. A MMC who realizes that he is in love and needs the FMC. A FMC who has to ultimately decide if the mc lifestyle is for her.
Review: The ads for this book were on repeat on my feeds. I can say I wasn't disappointed. The story line is believable and well written. You grow to love the FMC and MMC and the men of the mc. There were moments where I chuckled and moments where I was in fear for the FMC and her son. I loved seeing how the MMC grew into a better parent and how his daughter began to change and mature. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Stone rescued Taryn when her ex husband was trying to beat her unalive (in public, no less, and in front of their son Wren). For rescuing the damsel in distress, he got thirteen months in jail. Because he lost his temper and the Ebil ex was hospitalized. Taryn felt compelled to thank Stone, and he convinced her to move in with him and his 10-year-old daughter, to help take care of the girl (whose mother was doing time so Stone had full custody). In return, Stone would protect Wren and Taryn from the Ebil ex,, who is to be released from prison shortly. So there’s some nice forced proximity going on. Stone is a member of the Kings of Anarchy, a 1% motorcycle club whose motto is “nobody f-cks with the Kings”. Taryn becomes more and more entangled with Stone and the MC, even running her concierge chef business from the clubhouse kitchen and sharing a bed with Stone. But Stone is into some very shady sh*t, and he is not going to change for anybody. Taryn has to decide whether she can accept everything that comes with Stone, because she can’t have the man without the danger. I liked this. Jeanne St. James is a good author, and the book REV (Blood Fury MC) is one of my all-time favorite audiobooks. This is more hardcore than much of St. James’ other works, and Stone is definitely on the Alphahole end of the Alpha Male spectrum, but it works. I haven’t read a lot of Kings of Anarchy, but the couple I have read have been pretty good. This book is a 4.5 star read, rounded up to 5. Cat’s Stats Book is SAFE. Heat is EXPLICIT. TRIGGERS include Graphic violence (including torture, assault, and murder), language (including Stone referring to the kids as “nut nuggets”, which makes me roar, and liberal use of the f word), grand theft auto. TROPES include Adorable Moppet (plus unadorable preteen), Damsel in Distress, Forced Proximity, Only One Bed, Single Parent, Ex-Con, Kiss the Cook, Protector, Shut-Up Kiss.

As always with this author’s MC books, I was hooked from start to finish. Property of Stone has all the elements we desire and enjoy in a 1% club, and the storyline kept me engaged.
The Kings are respected and feared because their word is their bond. Nobody messes with the Kings!
Stone, as the VP, embodies what it means to be a club brother. Adhering to his personal moral code, he alters Taryn’s life, and his own, by acting according to his principles. Imagine his shock when Taryn comes back into his life and accepts a deal that benefits them both!
Taryn is easy to connect with, and I enjoyed the way she set boundaries, only to have Stone bulldoze over them. Entertaining conversations arise from his commitment to everyone’s safety, and how he envisions things. Stone clearly knows how to resolve the issue they face, but Taryn’s inexperience with the MC lifestyle complicates his plans.
This has everything we love about this author’s MC creativity… The steadfast brotherhood support and hierarchy, the ever-present club and territory drama, the sharp violence and raw retribution, morally grey situations that blur the lines, steamy attraction that ignites the senses, and the heartwarming HEA I wanted for them. I couldn’t put this book down, and I think you’ll love it too.
Fortunate to have received an ARC (thank you) I happily leave my thoughts.
1% MC so a good reminder to check your trigger warnings…especially for the first few chapters. Survivors of domestic violence…sending my love and healing.
Stone…stone cold killer…Lady Killer to be sure. Living the life and loving it, Stone’s only challenge is the “nut nugget” produced from a one night stand. He loves his girl, but his baby momma is a whole other story. She is not the influence Stone would pick for his Sunny.
Taryn on the other hand is recovering from her catastrophic divorce from a narcissistic abuser. Taryn is exactly what Stone and Sunny need to bring them together and thrive. Her son Wren needs all the protection she can provide…enter Stone.
I love the meet ugly between these two. There was no hiding the biker lifestyle. Taryn rolled with the antics and I enjoyed laughing along with Stone as she learned biker lingo. The story was so heartfelt and loved the almost slow burn between these two. Once the smexy times started, these two were smoking! Stone certainly proved his expertise with a woman’s O. But more importantly, Stone was responsive and encouraging to Taryn, her business, and protecting her son.
A great first book in this new series by Jeanne St. James. Looking forward to Ogre…I love me an enforcer!!! Enjoy!
I discovered Jeanne St. James several years ago when I happened on Down and Dirty Zac. Of course then I had to read the entire Dirty Angels series and then In The Shadows Security, Blood Fury, Blue Avengers…etc., etc. hopefully you get that I’m a fan of her vivid imagination and how well she puts those images on paper. She has another winner with Stone. Is he a classy, sweet, all around good guy? Oh not a chance…he’s pretty crude, rude and socially unacceptable, but he’s loyal and funny and willing to fight for his beliefs. Taryn is more refined and definitely has a better moral compass, but she sees something in him, actually they see something in each other and even though they shouldn’t work…they do. Gritty, funny and sometimes a little heart wrenching…this book will suck you in. I’m hoping for more insight and stories from other Kings…Ogre for instance. The big guy and his furry companion remind a bit of Diesel and Diesel has always been a favorite of mine. Great job, Ms. St. James!
It’s been a minute since I’ve read this author and was stoked to read Stone and Taryn’s story. Stone happens to be in the right place at the right time to help Taryn in the middle of a heated argument with her ex regarding her son, watching it escalate to something more he had to step in, never in a million years did he think that would land him in the slammer or have her show up a year later to thank him in person. These two are oil and water, but they both need something from each other, she needs protection and he needs help with his daughter. Temporary, this is all it is, until it starts to seem like more, can she ever get used to the biker life and accept the good with the bad? Because there was always bad lurking around the corner, and when feelings factor in when neither was looking for more can these two figure out their relationship and raise their kids together? Or is Taryn’s ex coming back going to put a wrench in any plans that Stone may have? Great read, loved it and hope there is more to come.
DNF. Ugh. I liked this author’s earlier work but haven’t been impressed for a while. Shouldn’t have tried again with this one. Stone is a degenerate thief that I really didn’t want to read about for 400 pages. Just overall low level human. But at least he beat the crap out of h’s ex, unfortunately that doesn’t make up for every other shitty personality trait.
How am I supposed to want this heroine to be with a hero who says stuff like this, in front of her to a clubwhore he just had sex with - “Juicy, get me some fuckin’ coffee!” he shouted, then winced. “Gotta get the taste of your pussy outta my mouth.” I could put 20 mores quotes like this in here, but you get the point.
Also, can authors stop glorifying “curvy” heroines while putting down skinny ones? - “The coat she wore didn’t show any cleavage and didn’t do shit for her curves but it couldn’t hide the fact she had plenty to spare. Just how he liked his women. Don’t give him twigs for arms and legs and two buttons for tits“. Imagine if an author lauded a thin heroine’s physique while disparaging a heavier woman?
Stone was my kind of dream guy and Taryn was his perfect equal even if neither one realized it. Stone is the Vice President in the 1% Kings of Anarchy MC and they have a very strong principle of rules the club will also go by. Taryn needs protection from her ex and Stone steps in to help her if she will agree to help look after his daughter, who is a handful. Taryn is not familiar with the MC life but agrees for her sons sake. The connection to help one another turns into something more. This comes with a lot of danger, action, suspense and romance.
This will be a fantastic series and I can't wait to see whose story is coming up next. Stone's story was another one I just could not put down. I absolutely admire the way Jeanne writes her MC stories. I have never been disappointed in any of her books and always look forward what she has in store for us. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Stone & Taryn: triggers- domestic abuse, assault, kidnapping. I'm just gonna a say it, I don't like Jeanne St. James writing. I don't know what it is, I just can't get immersed into her worlds. mostly because of the language she chooses to use for her characters and I'm not talking about cursing, I'm talking about making them sound stupid. the story is also extremely repetitive especially when Taryn starts "working" or helping Stone with his daughter. i liked the concept of the story but the follow through just wasn't for me. it's definitely steamy but I'm sprinkles. I bet you're wondering why I read this book if I'm not a fan of the author. Simple... I'm on a mission to read through the KOA series so that means I have to read some authors that I don't like. 🤷🏾♀️. I didn't know she was on the list until I got closer to her name. I'm doing the same with the RBMC series so I'm 🤞🏾 this doesn't happen again.
If you have missed JSJ's rough and tumble, dark and gritty bikers, Stone will be your new book boyfriend. I cackled every time he called his daughter, Sunny and Taryn's son a particular phrase, very similar to crotch goblin! Stone may be a bad guy, but that doesn't mean he is a bad guy (to quote a kid's movie). He steps in when Taryn's ex is using his fists on her, saving her and her son. He goes to jail for it as does her ex. She goes looking for him to thank Stone for his help. He insisted that she accept more of his help, with her ex about to be sprung from prison. So Taryn and her son Wren move in so she can save money and be under Stone's protection while she helps with Sunny. I don't want to say more, this book needs to be experienced first hand! I had so much fun with these characters, especially Thor and Ogre! I cannot wait to see where this branch of the Kings' go!
What an amazing start to a new series by Jeanne St. James! Property of Stone is the first installment of Kings of Anarchy MC Pennsylvania. Stone was cruising around looking for potential jobs for the MC when he sees a woman on the receiving end of an altercation. There is no way he can not intervene. Little did he know how much that was going to change his life.
Taryn is on a mission to thank the man that stepped in and helped her out. She had no idea what she was walking into.
She needs protection, he needs help so it’s a win win situation. What could possibly happen when a hot as hell biker and a beautiful private chef decide to help each other out
These two will have you on the edge of your seat. I can’t wait for the next one.
Jeanne St. James gives us another excellent MC book that is filled with absolutely hilarious, snarky and witty one liners. Stone is crass, rude, and holds nothing back. Taryn is timid and has no idea what an MC is or does, but when Stone makes her an offer to protect her, she has no choice but to agree. When your both opposites as Taryn and Stone are, you complete each other, and that is exactly what these two do – they complete each other. I love the drama, the wit, the progression of their relationship and the fight to get to their happily ever after. I hope that we get more from the Kings of Anarchy as I find the club intriguing and would love to learn more about the rest of the members!
What a fantastic start to a new series! I loved Stone and Taryn’s story! When Stone helped Taryn when she was being assaulted by her ex in front of her son, ended up with him being in prison. After he got out Taryn went to thank him. The meeting didn’t go like she thought it would. They discovered that they needed each other which led them to live together. In the time they spend together , they grow closer. Even though neither one were looking for anyone, they found what they didn’t know they needed. Their kids Sunny, Stone’s daughter, and Wren, Taryn’s son grew to love each other. I love all of Jeanne books and Property of Stone was fantastic! I can’t wait for the next Kings of Anarchy MC: Pennsylvania series!
Great start to a new MC series. Stone is definitely 100% unapologetic sexy Biker Man! Their relationship starts as a combination of gratitude, convenience and attraction; from there we see them become a supportive, devoted couple/family. I felt bad for Sunny and was so glad she got a better, healthier family. They s**y times were totally SMOKIN! This is going to be a very interesting new series - I cant wait for Orge's story! (and more Thor!). But I hope they clean that compound up-LOL-it sounds disgusting. I loved not only the romance, but the family -both theirs and club, the world building, and new, interesting characters I hope to read more about. Highly recommend this new book and series!
Stone and his MC are feared by many, but he becomes an unlikely hero to Taryn and her son when he rescues her from a dangerous situation and is willing to pay the price for that decision. He hadn’t expected to see Taryn again let alone that she would track him down.
All Taryn wanted to do is let Stone know how much she appreciated his actions however that decision not only has her helping him out with his daughter but being protected by him as well. She knows that he is the last man she should want to be with however her heart doesn’t agree.
Stone and Taryn take us on an action-packed adventure that is filled with surprises you dont see coming, suspense that keeps you on edge and an unlikely love between two captivating characters.
Property of Stone (Kings of Anarchy: Pennsylvania) by Jeanne St. James is motorcycle romance novel. Finally an exciting new series by one of my favorite authors. This one is a motorcycle romance that is set in the club world of the Kings of Anarchy. As always it has an action packed plot with chemistry filled moments between the fmc and mmc. The plot is exciting and thrilling while the characters are well written drawing you into their world. The story focuses on a single mom and a single dad. They are from two different worlds that collide and intersect. Somehow this sparks a romance and maybe more between them as they fight through many obstacles to protect and stay together. Such a great read! I highly recommend. I can not wait for more from this author!
Property of Stone is book 1 in the Kings of Anarchy MC: Pennsylvania chapter written by the talented author Jeanne St. James. This is Stone & Taryn not so typical biker romance story. He’s the vice president of the MC club and she’s a divorced mom with a little boy. This a case of being in the right place at the right time at the beginning of the story. He helped Taryn out when her abusive husband is beating her in front of his crying kid at the parking lot. Then Stone gets arrested and thrown in jail a year for helping her. Taryn wants to thank him and looks for him at his clubhouse, The Castle. You need to buy the book to get what happened next. No spoilers! Highly recommend it! Can’t wait for more!
Stone and Taryn’s story took me by surprise. I wasn’t sure I liked the book in the beginning because it wasn’t holding my interest. I found Stone obnoxious. Boy was I wrong. Before I knew what was happening, I was glued to every page. Would Taryn open her eyes and really see Stone for the man he was trying to become. Would she accept the reality of who her ex husband was and would continue to be once he was released from jail? Their love story does not follow the usual path-guy meets girl, girl meets guy and falls head over heels. They have trust issues and control issues. They each have a child that needs TLC for different reasons and finding ways to show that love isn’t easy and takes enormous patience. The ending will leave you wanting more.
Stone is rough, raw and unfiltered. He says what he thinks, he does what he wants, and he acts how he feels. But his sense of honour is focused on the solidarity of the Kings MC. His belief that violence is the acceptable solution to most problems, that respect is earned, and adherence to "Nobody messes with the Kings" motto provides a visible divide from Taryn. She is elegance and grace, "momma-bear" like in her love for Wren and passionate about cooking. While they may not appear to be a match, his determination to challenge her perceptions and her willingness to accept their differences provides the drama in this first story of a (possibly) new series.
I have been waiting for Ms St. James to pen a MC Romance! I cannot get enough of her rough and tumble characters. I know she has been riding other romance novels, but her version of MC life appeal to my fantasy senses. Each of her characters are always complicated in some manner. I love how she takes us on an emotional journey until the main male character discovers it’s too late and he’s been ensnared. I particularly like the independent, intelligent and strong women that they fall for. I have been looking forward to this release and was not disappointed. I cannot wait for the next installment in this series.
I wish Jeanne could crank one of these out every week. She delivers another unapologetic gritty biker that you just can’t help but love. Taryn is a mama just trying to do her best, acknowledging her mistakes along the way, and falling for said gritty (and hot) biker. Stayed up way past my bedtime reading the first half of Property of Stone because I could not put it down. Love these characters - her MMC and FMC always have a banter that has me laughing out loud and my husband looking at me sideways. I’m always a little sad when I finish her books because I have to wait for the next one.
