In the chilling aftermath of Good The Lost Tribe, Micah, Jess, and the ever-loyal Golden Retriever, Grover, seek refuge in the snowy seclusion of a New Hampshire farm, along with their new Kynolari friends. But as winter’s grip tightens, so does the Draun’s hold on Earth. The signal sent by the Visionary has awakened the Draun DNA inside two hundred and fifty million humans, the number increasing every day. Nowhere is safe, and humanity is on the brink of unimaginable chaos.
Forced to flee after a devastating attack on the farm, the heroes are scattered, pursuing desperate gambits across the globe. In the sands of Egypt, Praxion’s team seeks to uncover the secrets of Anubis, the Egyptian god of death and the leader of the Kynolari’s Lost Tribe. A second team, led by Chirk, ventures into the heart of Mexico, searching for a lost Incan temple of Xolotl, whose association with death, and physical description, matches that of Anubis. Both teams race against time, guided by mysterious legends and plagued by dangers, both ancient and modern.
Separated from the others, Micah and Jess embark on a perilous journey south, through a transformed America, now a mosaic of Draun-fueled terror, where danger lurks at every stop, and no one can be trusted.
As ancient truths unfold into dreadful revelations, the bonds of friendship, love, and loyalty are tested against the backdrop of a humanity teetering on the edge of annihilation. The quest for hope, the fight for survival, and the battle for the soul of the species are woven into a tapestry of adventure, heartbreak, heroism, and humor.

Good Boys 2 is easily as good as the first one, overflowing with action and awesomeness. Jeremy Robinson has written another brilliant action packed SciFi thriller, with hilarious dialogue, great characterisations and the sweet loyalty of our doggie friends. Love Grover ❤️
This series by Jeremy Robinson continues to be at the top of my list. The characters are amazing and Tom Taylorson does a masterful job of bringing them to life. Pick up book one, then follow up with this one and you will not be disappointed. In fact, you will be highly entertained!
Jeremy Robinson’s next chapter of his Good Boys Trilogy: Unleashed, continues with one of his best built and fascinating worlds yet. I love this new world he has created with an almost manic glee. The world building and character development is beyond compare. Unleashed continues the story with his unusual group of hero’s with humans Micah,Jess and Sean, teaming up the Kynolari soldiers as they pick up a few more human dog lovers unaffected by signal, that the Draun have sent out to activate the hidden DNA code that the Draun has infused into humans since humanity was still living in caves, as the signal rips through human minds, humanity becomes less than kind and loving, even more so than is standard, allowing them to become a unfeeling Army. Japan has been invaded and considered conquered is cut off from the world, no news is coming out but that isn’t stopping the changing from attempting to flee there. Although though many don’t realize what’s going on, others are quick to pick up that all is not well on planet Earth. And though hundreds of millions of dog lovers around the world were spared millions of others are not and they are changing. Some gained the memories and powers instantly, others are still evolving. Micah and Grover continue to bond. Micah and Grover are also able to find the head dog of the Lost Tribe through Grover’s nightmares and through this mind journey they find themselves in ancient Egypt. Just who was the ancient god of the dead, Anubis? It’s a great read. And The Narrator Tom Taylorson is the perfect narrator for this world. He is absolutely fantastic, I can’t praise his work enough. It’s a great listen. I love the characters in this story. It’s a great thrill ride with this ragtag bunch as they fight through numerous creatures the Draun have sent to destroy those not changed. I can’t go on and on and tell the whole story, cause it would be no fun that way. Just know you will not be disappointed with this world. It’s a story of an obvious love of dogs. Now, don’t be mistaken, he is not busting out on cat people, or any other pets we may have. Jeremy Robinson could write about a napkin and make it fun. So give this world a chance. You will not be disappointed. Jeremy writes his science stuff in a way that is believable and not so out there it’s unbelievable. Also two beings: Chirk and Sean…they are the funniest of friends and make even the most weird stuff funny. I laughed so hard I cried. And of course there’s sad stuff too, and you feel it. I can’t recommend these stories enough. I was so excited to read and listen to Good Boys Unleashed and can hardly wait for the third installment in January. That’s another gift Jeremy Robinson has, he writes like a beast and never leaves one waiting long for next story. Thank goodness, I go nuts! Plus he is a prolific writer with stories and worlds to keep one entertained for years. Years! Oh and what happened to Jenna Flood from the Lost Tribe? Hmmm.

A great continuation of the first one. Robinson said he wasn't sure how this series would do because he wanted to write it out of fun, not necessarily sales. Its gold! Funny, action-packed, and a bit weird.
This series, man; *chef's kiss.* These books are such a good time!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quick, wholesome, and action-packed good time, especially if you happen to also be a dog lover. Beyond the story, Robinson's characters are well fleshed out and believable, and will have you laughing out loud throughout (literally). I also enjoyed spotting all the little dog specific details and pop culture references peppered in like "orange light" instead of "green light" for "go" (dogs color vision being different than humans, science theorizes they don't see most colors, hence "orange light" instead of "green light"), as well as, a good ole Pinky and the Brain kid's cartoon reference to name a couple. My millennial brain was tickled. 😄 And I wholeheartedly agree with the author's note at the end suggesting how Good Boys would make for terrific TV/film; I actually made this assessment on my own during the first book and voiced it to my husband.
Good Boys is truly a fun read, and absolutely worth your time.
Explosive Sequel With Humor And Heart From The New God Of Science Fiction. This is one of those sequels that does its jobs quite well indeed. Picking up shortly after the events of The Lost Tribe, we find our team testing out new strategies and techs when the action suddenly finds them. Splitting up the team ala his much earlier Chesspocalypse novellas, but within one book, we get a variety of mix and match scifi based action and adventure in a similar vein as some of the best sequences from Avengers: Infinity War.
And then... that final battle and its outcome. Robinson has crafted some truly action packed and mind bending sequences for this part of some of his recent tales (such as in 2023's FAMINE, available only within the HUNGER: THE COMPLETE TRILOGY collection), and this one at minimum matches the insane and inventive action sequences there.
Finally... particularly if you pick this trilogy up after Book 3 (whose title is revealed at the end of this book) is released... you're going to want that Book 3 in your hands *immediately*, because the setup for this winner-takes-Earth-and-likely-the-universe battle royale is excellently done.
Overall truly yet another really fun tale from The New God Of Science Fiction, showing just how he has earned that title. Very much recommended.
Sooo, I actually listened to this book (Audible), along with the other two in the trilogy in about a week. I adore this trilogy. It appeals to my goofy, nerdy, animal loving personality, and it was uproariously hilarious. The premise itself is a riot; however, only Jeremy Robinson could turn the most whack-a-mole idea into such a hard core emotional investment by the end. I didn’t come up for air until I finished them all! Somehow, by the end, talking, upright walking, elite canine infiltrators was such a norm… I found myself giving my German Sheperd a solemn nod, “I see you, you amazing bad ass operator in disguise, I see you.”
If you’re looking for a laugh, a break neck adventure, an honest, emotional connection to characters, or a complete break with reality…. EVERYONE should have a listen. The narrator was OUTSTANDING! The voices were spot on and if there is ever a movie or Netflix adaptation, the actors are going to have HUGE shoes to fill in their portrayal.
I laughed (out loud, and I mean loud), I sobbed, I cheered, I ducked, I weaved, and I kicked ass. What more can you ask for?
I paused this half way through the summer because my attention span was preoccupied, and this one you have to pay attention to ( I listened to the audio book). Book 2 has the same fantastic sense of humor, gross battle scenes, touching moments and tears as the first Good Boys, but I did find it harder to follow in places. The characters are really building up now, and I've already started book 3 like I'm hanging out with old friends. I love this series, and I can't wait to see what happens, and I'd really like to see a movie made too! I am also adding, and last but certainly NOT least, that Tom Taylorson who narrates this series is one talented mother fucker!( as a certain Chihuahua would say) I have listened to a lot of audio books, and he is by far the BEST! I don't know how he switches characters like he does, but he's amazing!
Jeremy Robinson did it again! Action, hilarity, AND dogs!
I loved the first Good Boys book, The Lost Tribe, and I'm happy to say the second book of this trilogy did not disappoint! Robinson delivered the next chapter of an incredible story unlike anything I've ever read! This trip had all the excitement and emotion of the first book, and I laughed until my face hurt! He wrote great characters, and you can't help but become attached to them.
I also purchased this on Audible and Tom Taylorson knocked it out of the park again with his voice work on my favorite roles, human and canine!
I'm excited to read the final chapter and glad I only have to wait until January. I've already pre-ordered it!
This series is so much fun and I absolutely love it, I am constantly laughing at the perfect dialogue. Don’t be mislead by that comment because this is such an amazingly thought out story that has all the hallmarks of a great series. Who knew I would ever write a review where I would say that talking dogs were some of my favorite characters as an adult. Jeremy Robinson is able to create an amazing universe out of nothing and I am absolutely along for the ride. So if you like Sci-fi, brave characters that have each others backs, dogs (which if you don’t I’m not sure anyone should trust your opinion anyways), swearing, laughing and Jeremy Robinson then you should absolutely pick up this series.
Oh, man. I have been a JR fan since I first discovered his work in 2021. And I love several series of his. This may be my favorite!! If you love dogs, you should read this series. This book is the second in the series and picks up right where the first left off. Danger, peril, and laughs abound!! I absolutely recommend anything by Jeremy Robinson, but Anubis wants you to read these, too.
Fast paced, full of unexpected friends and foes and humor throughout. There are battles, mind invasions, and even a little sex thrown in. My only difficulty - and it's my problem - is keeping the names and breeds straight in my head as I'm reading. It only takes a few paragraphs to catch up, but the process slows me down. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.
Delving into mythology, the Good Boys hunt down Anubis to awaken the being that they believe will save humanity from the merciless Draun, but wow do they have their work cut out for them. Unleashed continues the story from Good Boys: The Lost Tribe. All the characters have grown since they defeated Jenna Flood at the end of Lost Tribe, but they still have more to learn and a greater menace to fend off. Good Boys #2 has me chomping at the bit for #3!
Things aren't going very well on Earth. But hope is not lost, so long the Kynolari, Micah, and the rest of the gang are still in the fight. With lots of action, heart, and Jeremy Robinson's unique sense of humor, Unleashed is a great addition to the Good Boys series that you won't want to put down.
2.5 The first book was fun, in a "don't take it seriously" kind of way. But my least favorite part was all the running around / shooting everything up, and there is even more in the later installments. With less of the fun space-dog intro stuff (they're pretty much taken for granted now). I kind of wanted to know what happened, but I wasn't very invested.
This is turning into a really great trilogy! The sci-fi elements are spot on, the humor is crude and witty and hilarious, the characters are diverse (even though they're mostly dogs) and easy to love. This was a middle book so it obviously left some loose ends but I think it did a great job of creating a self contained story while expanding upon the bigger picture. I am thoroughly enjoying this series so far! 4.5 stars!
Bad aliens versus good dogs, what more do you need? Howsabout double-crosses and latent alien DNA being activated in humanity, turning them into evil douchenozzles with superpowers? Robinson is clearly a comic book reader and he’s jus going for it in this bonkers world-circling story. Oh yeah, Anubis is back, and he’s a dick.
Good Boys Unleashed by Jeremy Robinson is - like all his other work - a thrilling, action-packed adventure with a perfect mix of suspense, humor, and heartwarming moments. This trilogy (this is #2) is a must-read for dog lovers and action and sci-fi fans alike.
Good boys two is an imaginative joyride unlike anything I've bread before. Jeremy Robinson has the ability to make you laugh, cringe, and cry at the same time, a true master of his craft!
ALL the humor, phenomenal characters, and awesome adventures! This story was so fun from start to finish. I have already become so attached to these characters. I cannot wait to read what happens next! Love Grover ❤️
I have to be honest. When I first started reading this series, I wasn't sure I would continue on. I'm sure glad I did! Every book gets better and better... and the premise is very unique!
The audiobook is a wild ride. Tom Taylorson is a fantastic narrator. Still just as vulgar and action-packed as the first book. If you’re looking for a good time and enjoy aliens and dogs, you might enjoy this. Do yourself a favor and listen to the audiobook though - very enjoyable!
This was a fun read and continuation of the Good Boys trilogy that progresses the story. The characters are funny and the writing good, but I just didn’t like the nickname they gave to an overweight minor character. It was giving fat phobia when I’m sure that wasn’t the author’s goal.
