Good guys lie, because their ‘good’ reputation makes it so easy.
Arseholes never lie. Because they have no reason to. They don’t care about your ‘feelings’. They just slap ya’ with the hard truths.
And nothing hurts more than the truth, right?
So basically, Hard Truth is an arsehole’s most precious weapon.
I wish I’d known all this. I wouldn’t have been so distrustful, nagging, annoying, and jealous. I wouldn’t have been the girlfriend every guy hates to have.
Keeping Jahleel shouldn’t have been that hard. I had him. He was mine. He loved me. He assured me of this. Over and over. And I should’ve believed. I should’ve kept my mouth—and legs—shut. I should’ve believed when he told me he was mine, and mine alone.
I really like this author. However, I do not get how people are rating this highly. The main lead was drugged and raped, and then blamed for it. How can that be condoned? Tex drugged her, filmed her out of her head having sex with him, showed it to JK, and he then leaves her? Basically calling her a whore? She was raped! She was not in control, to top that off we have victim blaming. What I didn’t get was, even if she did cheat, how could JK judge her? She had to watch him get with and choose his step sister? She forgave him, but he could not do the same because of his arrogance? This book needs to be re written. Also, just another issue, I think we are meant to find Krissy ballsy and respect her, yeah I didn’t at all, she’s an arrogant and manipulative bitch. She made out she was trying to talk to Sassy but she was trying to mark her territory as top dog, while letting her know she knew JK Better Than anyone. Of course the hat wearing was meant to cause shit! She needed to just disappear. I was repulsed by the scene where Saskia tried to get JK to have sex with another woman. Mainly because JK was up for it for a while, she was the first women he got it up for after the break up, and he thought about how she was better than Saskia, ha ha true love my ass!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
These days, I’m hesitant to read follow up’s on romance novels… cause most often, the author tend to change the character that we’ve grown to love.
BUT, I am happy to say that, in this sequel, Ms. Cole stayed true to her characters and only worked on their character growth!!!!!
Now if you’re looking for that perfect main characters, then this book is not for you. But if you want a more challenging and flawed individuals with a challenging and flawed relationship, then I would highly recommend!
I ab.so.lute.ly loved this!!!!
I was a little bit irritated in the beginning by Saskia’s needy/insecure attitude towards Jahleel… But it stayed perfectly within her character since she is so utterly in love with JK and she had lost him ones and is afraid of losing him again. But her confidence was slowly building… And she is still that sassy and kick-ass Saskia that I love!
And Jahleel is still that same asshole that I love too! He still have that real tough exterior that I’ve grown to understand. Not a lot of people will get Jahleel, but I definitely dig him! ;) He is hot, intense, tenacious and very passionate!
But while these two are back together, there is still that issue of “trust” considering everything that they’ve been through. Which had me on the edge thinking something bad is bound to happen soon!
And it did! And I was dumbstruck!
To quote Lion, their manager….
“You two are explosive. Tragic. Bad shit happens when you get together.”
So, picture me going….
That surprising and huge twist of the story…. let’s just say, there was a lot of crying in my part. It was torture!
But not to worry, cause they also have the most perfect ending. :D
As for Krissy, I have not read her story, and maybe when I do I would understand her situation with Jahleel more. But still, I wished for Saskia to kick her ass!
There’s one other thing I hoped to have happened in the story though. I had hoped for anyone to beat the shit out of Tex Laklin more. What he did was unforgivable! I bet Chad would!!!
And speaking of Chad, my hot mysterious Russian… I can’t wait to read his story next! I think I’m going to love him more! ;)
This book is hot, intense, edgy, full of angst and romantic! Beautifully written and I am definitely now a huge fan of Ms. S. Ann Cole… ;)

4.5 STARS!
AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER OF HEARTBREAK, SECOND CHANCES, AND TRUE LOVE! (Or obsession)
If you love angst, heartbreaking stories about the "only" love, this book is for you!!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO MASOCHIST READERS! I gotta be real here. I did not want to read this book. I had heartburn just thinking about it!!! The way the first ended was fine for me, why do we have to go through more? However, I fell more in love with these indescribable flawed characters. The story takes place right where the first ended. The twists in this story were hard for me to grasp, I'm still shaking my head. NOOOOO! Please just give me a happily ever after!!! My heart was shredded and put back to together. Jahleel, the a-hole that he is was never redeemed in my eyes. (but I still love him, I'm sick in the head)I never got a good explanation about his relationship with Krissy, WHY? I still want to stab her in the eye, she apologized, but just wasn't good enough. I feel like Kia was short changed through the book. OMG I FELT SO EFFING BAD FOR HER!!! The ending was perfect. Only these two could pull it off. There was never a doubt in my mind they were MEANT to be. Forever!
ORIGINAL PLOT WITH CHARACTERS YOU LOVE TO HATE OR HATE TO LOVE!
I have to check out other books by this author!!!!
Honestly, this should probably be lower and those 4stars you can pin down to goodwill considering my love for the first book Jahleel. But how can you fault an author who was prodded (coerced?) to write more because Sahleel shippers couldn't just let go? This follow-up was not part of the plan and it is apparent. But like others I wanted the Krissy thing justified to me. And considering that pain that we had to go through given the wild roller-coaster ride we went through in the first book, we just needed an extended HEA right?
So it starts off all lovey-dovey and hashing unresolved things out until the conflict happens somewhere near the halfway mark. You might think this is just a rehash of the first book but I digress.Think about it: this is classic Sahleel - the angst; the misunderstanding; Jahleel being an asshole; and Saskia being so in love and fumbling her way through all things related to Jahleel.
I still have to hand it to S. Ann Cole because she let these characters stay true to themselves as opposed to unnecessary sequels that give us a sappy couple devoid of conflict that completely strips them of their original nature. When S. Ann Cole writes in the end that , I most certainly believe it. Beyond that final period, I can just imagine these two volatile creatures growing old yet with the same obsessive type of love that keeps them insecure and at constant conflict. It's the thing that keeps relationships spicy and what makes these two tick. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I had a really hard time reviewing this story. Saskia and Jahleel are a trainwreck of a couple. They are obsessed with each other. They lack good judgement and their past histories have created lies and mistrust between.
They are both famous and are constantly scrutinized by their fans. Everyone wants them.
They are constantly back and forth between a love/hate type of relationship. Sometimes it was exhausting to follow. Most times I thought they should just end it and get on with their lives separately.
But the author drew me in and I continued reading. Somewhere along the way I started to really like this couple. But then all hell broke lose and the author had me thinking “oh my god are you kidding me; that is so not going to happen.”
Well I can say that I grimaced, and almost cried for these two. The author sends you on a rollercoaster ride. The ending was excruciating and my stomach clenched with dread for them.
The author did a great job with this story. Learning to trust after so many bad things happen takes a lot of courage for people. The author showed us how bad choices can be made but love will hopefully pull you through.
When I read the synopsis, I was afraid to read the book. Rightfully so, this book was gut wrenching. I felt their love, heartbreak and pain. I thank the author for not giving us another sappy novella but I don't think the conflict was realistic.
"But every relationship has their flaws. This is our flaw. "
"A lot of relationships seems perfect from the outside looking in. But it's a lie. No relationship is perfect."
It's time for a return trip into the lives of Saskia and Jahleel and I couldn't wait to dive in! Cole did not disappoint! I was immediately transported back into their world and was glued to the page until I turned the last one. If you are a fan of these two then you must buy this book and if you are new to their story then don't hesitate to buy the first one, "Jahleel", and then cruise straight on to this one.
Saskia and Jahleel are a highly unlikely, slightly dysfunctional couple that somehow seem to work. They have finally managed to find their way to one another and are committed to making their relationship work. As reality sets in, so does the world and all the consequences of their fame. Will they be able to survive the limelight and find faith in one another or will the pressure cause them to implode before they've really even started?
I love Jahleel. A lot of male leads are very in your face and hard to miss. Jahleel's presence is commanding but in a quiet, subtle way that I find fascinating. He's beautiful, for sure, but that's not draws me to him. He's strong and demanding but in a way that is completely romantic. All he wants is for Saskia to believe in him and what they share...knowing that she has his heart fully and completely. He doesn't waste words on flowery sentiments, but chooses them wisely and creates the most impact when he speaks. He's flawed and far from perfect, but that only serves to make him more realistic and raw. Cole has definitely created a character that will keep readers coming back for more and more.
Saskia is a beautiful mess. She finally has her dream laying in the bed next to her and she's freaking out. After years of longing, Jahleel is finally hers and she has no idea how to keep him. Cole has done a great job at making Saskia relatable. Just like anyone in a relationship would, she often second guesses herself and has a hard time getting out of her own way. The ups and downs she experiences and how she handles those are what shape her and grow her in this book. It's time for Saskia to let go of her passiveness and find the fight she has inside herself. I loved watching her journey, not just in her relationship with Jahleel, but in how she sees herself and her self-worth.
Together, their chemistry ignites the page and leaves you feeling a little singed. The sex scenes are definitely hot, but their true passion comes out in their time spent out of the bed. The way they relate to one another, fight together, and talk about the depth of their feelings is explosive and captivating to read. Cole doesn't have a single misstep in this book and from start to finish it will have you hanging on every word. The brief appearance by Chad sets him up for his own book, which is coming out next, and I can't wait to check back into this world that Cole has created.
CLICK BUY NOW! You won't regret this one and I highly recommend it, as well as its predecessor, "Jahleel".

As much as I didn’t like the first book I still read this book and I actually really liked it. I liked it so much that I will probably read the next book in the series as well. Most of the high school BS was missing from this book and that made it more enjoyable to me. Kia grew on me and I was rooting for her in the end.
Characters: The characters are well written and most of them are relatable.
Sex: yes
Religious: there are religious undertones in a few cases
Jahleel and Saskia's story was so much better than Krissy and Trev. (I just have to let that thought out. whooo!)
Jahleel and Saskia were meant to be together. And i'm so damn happy right now because they tied the knot in the end.
In this book, you will learn how to forgive, to get through all the bad shit for the one you truly love.
I'm not one who gives a very long review, so i'm keeping this short. But i just want to say to whoever is reading this. This book is the bomb!! And i'm giving it 5 obsessive stars!
I will forever be in love with Saskia and Jahleel!
ANGST ANGST ANGST!!! This second book is full of drama, heartbreak and obsessive love. Jahleel and Saskia are both so super passionate and volatile together. There were moments that you got to see Jahleel showing his asshole self again. I finished reading this book too quickly! Thank you S. Ann Cole for writing this sequel on Jahleel.
Make sure you read Jahleel before you read this book.
This is a really intense and emotional read. It's an angsty book that had me shouting at my kindle again. Can't really review without spoilers so I'm gonna say I really do recommend these two books and am really looking forward to reading the next on the series , Chads Chase.

"You two are explosive. Tragic. Bad shit happens when you get together. You love better when apart. But now that you're together again, I'm gon' be the third man in the relationship. Sorry for interlopin’, but I see money, and we all can make a shit ton if we play this the right—" "We're not playing anything," Jahleel seethed, ire stroked. "Sassy and I are in a relationship. Engaged. This is not a game or a fuckin' business. It's called love, dipshit." "Wouldya look at that." Lion grinned. "Jahleel MuthaFuckin' Kingston talkin' ‘bout love. Haha!"
I fell head-over-heals in love with this couple during the first book, so when the email came through for this blog tour I was All. Over. It. I even re-read 'Jahleel' for a refresher and just because, it's been a few months and I guess I just wanted to see if I would love it as much the second time around....I loved it MORE. But it also proved to remind me just how volatile their relationship is, they love so deeply but they are their own worst enemies. Well book two was loaded with just as much drama and angst, if not more, with some truly gutwrenching, ugly-tear inducing, frustrating....it was harsh, yet breathtaking. That is hard to pull off, but this author is so very good at it ;)
"You must understand that I'm nothing without you, JK. You must understand that you are my air, my purpose, the reason I wake up in the mornings. You must understand how much I need you, crave you, love you. You must understand why I'm being so whiny and pesty and perpetually seeking your assurance: it's because I'm my own enemy, my own murderer. I fear my own self and what I'll do to me if I don't have you. My obsession with you is deep. My love for you is depraved. You must understand that you cannot leave me."
~Saskia Day is finally with the man she loves, Jahleel Kingston, after five long years of obsessing over him- but it has not been easy. They have been through hell and back; cheating, lying, secrets, a long lost child, and a suicide attempt-but they have come out the other side, together. Saskia should be happy and secure in her relationship, she is engaged to the man after all, but she's not. She may put on the act for the world that she is a strong and confident woman, but inside she is an insecure jumbled mess. She has Jahleel, but now she fears she may not be able to keep him. Every day is spent wondering if he'll cheat again, if he really loves her, if he'll bolt at the first sign of trouble, and she wonders just how long he will be able to deal with her insecurities.
“You are my light. You are my world. I've never truly smiled until you. Never truly laughed until you. Never truly lived until you. Never truly loved until you. And I don't ever wanna lose you. I don't wanna know the future without you in it. You are mine. Do you believe me?"
~Jahleel Kingston has never been happier...for the most part. His Sassy is finally his, she owns him completely and that fact may terrify him but he wouldn't give her up for the world. She has changed his life and he loves her more than anything; if only he could get her to believe that. He fears he may spend the rest of his life trying to get her to trust him again and the fact that his personal life has suddenly been thrust into the public eye to such an extreme has him on edge. He is a very private person and the sudden media frenzy is proving to be a difficult adjustment; but he would do anything for Sassy and deals with it the best he can. But people make mistakes, no one knows this quite as well as these two, and when Saskia naively trust the wrong person- their relationship takes a hit that they may not be able to recover from.
"I want you." "You already have me," his sincere voice told me. "Yes, I do. But…I want to keep you. How do I keep you? Tell me. Please." "Funny." He laughed humorlessly, moving in and pressing his lips to mine. Our foreheads bumped each other's next. Our breathing audible, mixing. Wide, passive grey eyes met warm, unreadable gold. "Was just here askin' myself the same thing: How do I keep a woman like Saskia Day?" His head tilted to the side, mocking. "Tell me. Please." I smiled, relaxing a little. "All you have to do is stay. Through cool flames and fiery waters." "Well, then"—he smiled back—"you've got your answer."
Grab the tissues, you will need them; S. Ann Cole amps up the angst and heartache to all new levels is this one. If you thought the first book was rough, nothing will prepare you for what she has in store for this one. And yet....I loved every damn minute of it! Okay, maybe not every minute. OH!!! and bonus-the POV's in this book jump back and forth between Saskia & Jahleel. Being in that man's head was wicked. One thing I know for sure is, I am in no way ready to say good-bye to these two. I am desperately hoping that we will get to see a lot more of them in future books-from the research I did on Goodreads, it looks like the next book will be for Chad and I have no doubt that will be a rough ride as well. I am very much looking forward to it. This author has certainly landed herself on my 'One-Click Addiction' list and I don't see her going anywhere any time soon.
We fought, we worried, we doubted, but in the end, we knew we belonged together. We knew we were each other's forevers. A tear stained my cheek, and Jahleel gave me a faint smile, wiping it away with his thumb. "Do you love me?" "Forever," I answered without hesitation. "Good," he said. "'Cause I love me, too. Nice knowing I'm not the only who thinks I'm the shit." Giggling like the giggly sluts I hated so much, I smacked his arm. "Arse."

What an awesome sequel ...... what a beautiful bit of 'more' to the amazing story of Jahleel and Sassy... what a touching, gripping, heart wrenching episode, which will tear JK to his core and force Sassy to grow up, to find even more strength in her undying Love for him, she prevails, and Miss Cole like a boss !!! gives us that phenomenal end and thier happy ever after ..wow !!! Loved every minute, every character of this awesome duet, I would NOT CHANGE A THING !!! Hats off to Miss Ann Cole ...again !!!!
What happens when two people love each other to the point of obsession?
They end up hurting the one that they love the most.
If you haven’t read Jahleel, then I suggest that you read it first. It will help you to understand the characters in this book…trust me, they are unlike any characters that you have encountered in your romance books. This is definitely not your run of the mill love story. It will make you want to jump through the pages and into the book just to shake some smarts into this couple. I love a book that makes me feel so strongly about it.
Keeping Jahleel delves further into Saskia and Jahleel’s relationship. They are together at last, they have had their share of ups and downs, they are in it for the long haul…or are they? To say that this couple is dysfunctional would be an understatement. They finally have what they’ve longed for – each other, but now they are obsessing over how they are going to keep the other person happy and in the relationship.
“You must understand how much I need you, crave you, love you. You must understand why I’m being so whiny and pesty and perpetually seeking your assurance: it’s because I’m my own enemy, my own murderer. I fear my own self and what I’ll do to me if I don’t have you. My obsession with you is deep. My love for you is depraved. You must understand that you cannot leave me.”
Saskia is a superstar singer with popularity, beauty, and riches. Jahleel is a gorgeous dancer and choreographer who has also found his share of fame. With everything going for them, this couple has a great abundance of insecurities in their relationship. Oh, their insecurities aren’t all unwarranted. They have experienced a great deal of pain at the hand of the other. I won’t get into too many specifics…in case you haven’t read the first book.
This book definitely kept me turning the pages and wanting to read more. The characters in it will make you scream, pull your hair…and make you attempt to whip your Kindle across the room...that’s what makes this book so good! Is their relationship doomed, are they better off apart, or are they a match made in heaven?
"All you have to do is stay. Through cool flames and fiery waters."
I have read everything this author has written. And from her first book to this one, her has writing has only gotten better and better with each book. I think she has found her voice and style and I have to say I love it. It is raw and real and straightforward.
"Fuck time was fuck time. Talking and complaining and everything else was for later. Want to keep the man you love? Pay attention to what he likes and doesn't like during fuck time, and be everything he wants in the bedroom. Outside the bedroom, be as defiant as you want, but inside that bedroom, don't fuck around.
God is love. Animals are food. Women are emotions. And men are sex. Simple."
I have so much things highlighted in the little novella. Especially when in Jahleel's POV. I loved his parts the most! Poor guy.
I have to say I'd expected this book to be a sweet smushy sequel. But it wasn't. It started out that way, with really hot sex and I love yous. But then about the halfway mark, things got so unexpectedly crazy I almost thought the book would end with them broken up.
"Watch me walk away from you, Sassy... And don't even think about pullin' that stunt again. 'Cause this time, I won't come runnin'. 'Cause I don't give a shit. Believe that. A matter of fact, you're already dead to me. Dead."
How they managed to turn this around is A miracle. And in the end, I was happy.
So 4.5 stars for me.
I really am looking forward to Chad's book now. Based on the clues dropped in this book, I have a feeling Chad's story is going to be a dark read. He's so mysterious. And I can't wait!
I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.
Ok so I have to say that this should had being the first book in the series, I have to say that I love this book way more than the first one, and love it even more that we get to hear a little from Jahleel point of view, that in the first book we did not hear it from him but from Saskia.
The story of Jahleel and Saskia continue in this book, they are happy and engage, and their career is growing fast, but we still get the insecurity of Saskia she is having trust issues, and not trusting Jahleel much after he cheated on her, we also find out things that where not in the first book, really I don't know how to write this review, cause this series had being way to different than from what I am so used to reading, but I did love the book and the characters more than the first one.
Good guys lie, because their ‘good’ reputation makes it so easy.
Arseholes never lie. Because they have no reason to. They don’t care about your ‘feelings’. They just slap ya’ with the hard truths.

I've been meaning to read this book for so long but always got side tracked reading something else. What I love about S. Ann Coles books is that her books aren't all hearts and flowers all the time. Yes there is an HEA of course, just the fact that its more realistic with the characters and their thoughts. And I love that. I love the fact that although Saskia is madly, stupidly in love with jk that she can still say that her exes are hot or whatever.. I mean come on we're only human. It's different to read a book where the heroine or hero can still compliment someone other than their lovers looks and not sound like a complete slut lol.. I love sassy and jk just the way they talk, argue, joke around and love.. It's realistic.. It was an awesome read! Xxo
This story is a 2 person POV story which I was happy to read it like that I got a to feel more of what Jahleel was/is going through and all that he has to over come and except things for what they really are. The same goes for the badass rocker Kai. They both rocked my mind and heart with my emotions on overdrive this time around I was not excepting all that happened but glad that it ended the way it was suppose to. I loved/liked every page turn that I did and every word I read just spoke to me. The story has been that good to me.

I've just read your book Jahleel and I would like to thank you for your talent and for your work. That was one of the best books I've read from goodreads.com and i read a lot. I believed in every word, in characters, in plot. Now I'm going to read all the other your books. I'm also looking forward for Chad's story.Thank you very much and i hope your muse will never abandon you. You are the best. P.S. I apologize for my lame english, it is my second language. I just hope i managed to convey my gratitude and admiration.
Ms Cole is the best at these stories, I cried, laughed and then couldn't wait until the end...I still want more!!! This short was incredible !I don't want to give away to much so here's a good part...she screwed up big time and to make it up she got a girl that was beyond beautiful for him the have sex with...did he like what he saw what man wouldn't she was a beautiful Sub! Get the book you will enjoy it..if you haven't read Jahleel read it it will make for the best read of the summer!
Another bloomin rollercoaster read. Couldn't put it down had to find out what was going to happen to these two crazy obsessed love birds. At one point I nearly threw my kindle out the door. I was getting nervous near the end I really didn't want what was happening, actually to happen to them. Some crazy shit hits the fan. This one really had my blood pumping with Jahleel and Saskias lives what the rich and famous go through. Brilliant ending. Onto Chads Chase.
