I'd really loved Celeste and Hayley's characters when we met them in earlier Holiday Corner trilogies and now Celeste was marrying the man she'd become friends with and eventually fell in love with. Their idea for donating instead of getting gifts was so awesome especially since the family they were helping was so nice and really needed it.
I kinda remember Hayley being able to talk to Sarah's husband's ghost when he first passed in the previous trilogy and now she was talking to another one hoping to get a clue for the current murder. The most obvious answer sometimes isn't really the answer as Celeste and Edwin were about to find out during the killer showdown. The very ending seemed like a lead-in for next year.
I received this book as an ARC with no expectations so a positive review. I loved this story. Edwin and Celeste are getting married the day after Christmas. They decided instead of wedding gifts that they wanted to help the Sutton family who lost their husband and father. They are struggling financially. Amelia Merryweather donated one of her necklaces that was estimated to be worth $500,000.00. The town is a buzz with excitement. Join Edwin and Celeste as they prepare for their big day, but there are a lot of bumps in the road on their wedding day. This is a must read for all cozy mystery fans.
In this lovely installment we have Celeste and Edwin Bowater getting married and hosting a fundraising event for a local family. During the Wedding and fundraiser there is the supposed theft of the valuable necklace which was the focal point of the bidding. There is also the death of Amelia Fairweather's assistant. Celeste daughter Hayley can talk to ghosts. Helps with the investigation. I love the small town feel of this delightful series.

Holiday Corner is preparing for the wedding of two wonderful locals and the reception is turned into a fundraiser for a local mom and her children. A guest donates a necklace for the auction to raise money for the family but a guest ends up dead and the necklace is missing. Ileana does a good job continuing the story. Keep up the great work and this series is highly recommended.
A wedding with a reception of donated gifts; one being a necklace. The necklace is stolen, someone’s murdered and the ending sets up for #10 in the series.
