Celestion Wolves #2

Celestial Mate

Rate this book
Nothing will distract me from rescuing my crew. Being part of the only all-female unit in the mining colonies of Gragon 6 has always felt special. Being their foreman fills me with pride. Never did I think it would put us in danger—that we'd be a target.

For the Skulchers, it's an easy prize. They scoop us up and add us to their growing collection of human women to sell off to who-knows-where. For a hot minute, luck is on our side as we escape their clutches and flee in a stolen ship. But that's where the luck runs out. As we lose control of the ship and crash onto an uncharted planet, the hunk of metal breaks apart, separating me from the rest of my crew.

Now at the mercy of the friendly natives, the wolfshifting Celetans, my only goal is to find the rest of my unit. Still traumatized by our capture, I vow to myself that nothing will get in the way of rescuing the others—especially not the tall, handsome pack's Beta A, who keeps looking at me with all-knowing eyes that makes my pulse race and my knees weak...

BOOK TWO in the Celestion Wolves series. It can be read as a standalone, but recommended to be read in order. For fans of alien romance, werewolves, and all that's in between.

Thank you so much to the author for this amazing ARC!!!!!
My ADHD won't let me articulate this the way that I would like to, but if you love Ice Planet Barbarians and Alien romances this book is for you!
With just a touch of spice, it doesn't overpower the main plot or the action packed journey!
I love that they are wolf shifters, it is a refreshing take on your basic Alien!
After reading this one I definitely have to go back and read the first one!!! I am so enamored with Juk and Lisa, I cannot wait for her to write about the rest of the pack!! Celestial Mate

Sci-fi and shifter romance blend seamlessly in this alien love story with fantastic world building, cool action scenes, and emotionally charged storytelling! The MMC was so patient and tender, and the FMC had to overcome so much to let love back into her life, so watching these two find their HEA was beautiful. Original and unpredictable, loved it!

If you haven't taken a dive into this series, take this as your sign that you need to! If you're looking for an Ice Planet Barbarians (Ruby Dixon) meets Wolf Shifters, then this is the book for you! This series also reminds me a little bit of the Sea Sand Warlord (Ursa Dax) series, in that there are different tribes that will come into play that might affect the women. Also, the journeying aspect with territories reminds me of that series as well. This is all to say, there's a lot of awesomeness packed into this series!

This book focuses on Lisa and Juk as our main love interests and also focuses on rescuing the other women who are lost and who might be in dangerous territory. I loved the slow burn, push and pull between Lisa and Juk. From the start we know that they're fated mates, but Lisa fights it. It was so sweet to see how patient, kind and attentive Juk was to Lisa, despite her PTSD and all the feels she was dealing with. I just want a hunky Juk of my own!

The last thing I want to add is, O-M-G!!! That ending!! While we have somewhat of an idea on what's coming, I wasn't expecting the twist with the women or the twist towards the very end!! Like I had an idea that it was a possibility, but I definitely didn't connect the dots all the way. It totally shocked me! I can't wait for book three!

Definitely building the overarching plot, which is great. I love that we’re building to a bigger conflict and more happening in this world than just the couples hooking up. That being said, this story lacked the couple component because it was so focused on pushing the larger story forward. I didn’t like Lisa. Didn’t really get to know Juk much because it was more about Lisa’s freak outs than it was about them as a couple.

ongoing storyline

This is a continuation of the first book. Thought it can be read as a stand alone. This is a slower moving romance, heavier on plot building. Juk is adorable, he is patient and understanding, major teddy bear vibes. Lisa is a bit of a hard head that for whatever reason is adamant in ignoring Juk.
Overall I found this book boring, and honestly it might be skipable in the overall storyline too, considering the next book sounds to be going back to the Snow cave.

Another great book in this series! The FMC was relatable and the MMC was so understanding and patient. I enjoyed the dynamics of this couple as well as the building tension of what has happened to the other human woman. Off to read the next book in this series!
