An important message and a well researched work. I do feel that given that I'm already a knowledge-rich kind of educator who is fairly well read on the topic, this book didn't give me a lot of new insights. I made 3 notes in total. But perhaps as I'm already a convert I'm not really in the target audience. Nevertheless, I think this would be an excellent book for those wanting to think deeper on the important thing that is curriculum.

Often in education, we talk about a pendulum that swings from one institutional practice to another. This book is ambitious. Though not explicitly stated, I think it provides a way to break that pendulum and develop something that takes the best of different curricular priorities and creates something that supercharges learning. If you are an educator (regardless of grade or subject area), it's well worth a read.

So grateful to the authors for sharing this book so widely. I have been feeling the weight of designing a knowledge-building curriculum - so much pressure! - and this book offers great insight to help me make decisions that will benefit the students. Super succinct and readable - loved it!
