Betrayed by the Hero, Vol. 1 (My Kindle Review)
Taking place in a fantasy world, Ceres is a reincarnated warrior who is unfortunately kicked out of his party by the cocky and arrogant leader Zect so he can have his female counterparts all to himself. Discouraged and trying to find a new path, he unexpectedly saves his ex-leader’s sweet and attractive mother Shizuko from being sold as a slave. Having a crush on her since he was little, he’s ecstatic to be by her side while quickly winning her affections and their new adventures together begins.
Familiar with the isekai genre and aside from this manga’s awkward title, “Betrayed” is surprisingly a very entertaining manga that more than I expected from it. It has a pretty typical fantasy JRPG-like setting and characters with a likable protag and obnoxious harem king villain while its story turns more different. It later unexpectedly becomes more romantic with our couple than you’d believe, given its title and eechi-like feel but still having some mature material.
A very slice-of-life fantasy romance that’s very entertaining and thrilling that’ll surprise you for sure.

It was exactly what I thought it would be and I loved it. Cute characters, a story that actually makes sense, unlike in some other isekais and horny af. Can’t wait to read more. 4.5/5

There are many famous sayings about being careful of how you treat others, karma, and justice.
—However, there are no quotes that I can find that warn you of being nice to someone, lest they marry your mother and have sex with her repeatedly.
This is the story of Betrayed by the Hero, I Formed a MILF Party with His Mom!
Our protagonist, Ceres, is kicked out of the hero's party by the arrogant hero, and his childhood friend, Zect, who wants to treat the hero's party like his own personal harem (and he sees Ceres as being in the way of this fantasy). Zect sneers and taunts him as the party kicks him out, triumphantly believing that he's cucking Ceres by taking all the girls for himself.
Ceres however leaves the party without a fuss, and with a smile on his face.
Because what Zect doesn't know is that Ceres never had any interest in the girls in the Hero's party: Ceres is actually a 42 year old Japanese salaryman who was isekai'd into this fantasy world, and always viewed his fellow party members in a strictly paternal way. What's more, Ceres is only attracted to older women.
And Ceres' first love?
Zect's mother, Shizuko.
In this world, the life expectancy is only 50 years, so women over the age of 25 are considered over the hill. So when Ceres coincidentally finds Shizuko for sale in a slave auction, he buys her for a single gold coin, and immediately begins lavishing her with love and attention.
Thus begins Ceres and Shizuko's journey together. But what will happen next? And what will happen when Zect finds out that Ceres is banging his mom?
Betrayed by the Hero, I formed a MILF Party with His Mom is exactly what it says on the label. If its title alone brings a silly little smile to your face, then this book could be for you. If you're looking for something deeper, something more, keep moving. This is a light-hearted revenge fantasy ecchi with no real grit or angst, and a few pointless action scenes thrown in for filler/to smugly establish that Ceres/Shizuko are better than Zect and the rest of the Hero's Party.
Depending on your definition of MILF, you may be disappointed by what's on offer in MILF Party: MILFs in this world are any women over the age of 25 (Shizuko is in her early 30s), so if you're used to the typical youthful anime MILF, you'll be satisfied, but if you're looking for a more mature specimen, you'll have to keep looking.
Ceres' and Shizuko's relationship is cute and mildly heartwarming, albeit not particularly deep in this volume. Ceres' pursuit of Shizuko is not out of revenge in the slightest, so the revenge-plot is entirely accidental, but for the reader there is definitely an aspect of excitement knowing that at some point Zect will find out, and in the meantime we get to watch the Hero's Party suffer slowly without Ceres' aid.
The art and writing are both passable but neither is anything particularly noteworthy.
★★★☆☆ 3/5. A straightforward ecchi/isekai (and in later volumes, harem) that will lightly satiate your desire to see a jerk's mom get (lovingly) fucked by a guy the jerk tried to screw over.

I FORMED A MILF PARTY v1 is exactly the type of manga it says it is: Ceres is a guy who loses out on his adventuring party thanks to his longtime friend's outsized ego. Naturally, to wile away the days, Ceres goes off to form a party of his own. Happenstance being what it is, the first new member of Ceres's new party is a slightly older lady he knew from his childhood (Shizuko), who carries a few noteworthy adventuring secrets of her own.
Again, this manga delivers precisely what it says it will. To start, Ceres is a magic swordsman who fights giant wyrms, roams the message boards at the guildhall, and makes mention of the local slaver, as any major fantasy adventurer would. Ceres is an S-ranked fighter. But to conclude, Ceres's affection for women well into their thirties (and nearly twice his age) constitute a greater proportion of the manga. Alas, when a young man with great power and good luck finally strikes out on his own, it's only natural for him to lean toward his private affectations, is it not?
I FORMED A MILF PARTY v1 succeeds on a few clever points, the most credible of which is the book's simmering level of sarcasm and slow-burning brand of humor. It pops up here and there, and doesn't factor into the narrative bearing much consistency, but on occasion, the story feels stronger and more lived-in when characters glower menacingly (e.g., Shizuko doesn't hide the fact that she wants to murder her ex-husband), cower impishly (e.g., Ceres goes into chibi-mode whenever he's surprised), or generally act goofy (e.g., Sally, the guild receptionist, is kind of terrible at her job).
The manga's art navigates the shifts between action and humor with sensible resilience. And while some of the action scenes are difficult to follow and lack any real stakes, one cannot fault a book about a self-proclaimed "MILF hunter" for lacking in kinetic and believable fantasy violence. The character designs themselves aren't particularly inventive, but again, one's expectations shouldn't be too far ahead of such a low-concept narrative. I mean if you made it through the 120,000 word title, I guess you know what you're getting yourself into. This is just softcore fan service for fans of moms with large, um, personalities.
The plot is thin, but the milfs are thick, so it's got that going on which is nice. I enjoy a good Japanese harem comedy, but in vol. 1, there's not much noticeable comedy, so we just get the hot moms.
Our hero, who I'll call Marty Lou (Mary Sue was taken...), get kicked out of his best friend's D and D party, cause the friend wants all the party’s ladies to himself. So Marty bangs their moms. No seriously, that's the plot.
I bought this book cause I read/ watch harem comedies, but I may or may not bother with the rest of the series. I appreciate that the author and artist stray from the established harem stereotype girls (the mean one, the childhood friend, the mini moe, and so on) and stick to milfs, but that about all there is to say, this is solid "C" student material, but there's some double "D" students here too, so it'll be FINE.

I was reading a manga/ecchi? called Monster Musume and this was recommended so I thought I would give it a try with an open mind and see what it is about.
Zero expectations and it was a fun read, decent enough plot and fun characters and naturally given the title and cover it is horny as f... Full of humour and I judged this sort of genre as being creepy but it was more palatable than I expected. Still a bit of taboo but Im sure there's a lot worse out there.
I like as well how the character has come from the real world and is actually a middle aged man hence his perceived maturity in the fantasy world.

Oh my! Now we are talking! Shizuko is the best! I am liking this series premiere alot. I can't wait to see what other abilities she has as well. We just get a small taste of what she was capable of in the past and next volume the rest of the girls will come into the picture? Ceres is going to have his hands full for sure!

This was much cuter than I expected it to be, and not nearly as icky as some of these ecchi isekai can get. If anything this one is more charming than sexy, and all the mothers are simply the sweetest.

Peak literature expertly executed at capturing the hearts and minds of true scholars. Truly a masterwork that represents the best that humanity has to offer. I am a better man for having read this.
