Growing up in New Zealand’s North Island, Heather enjoyed an idyllic childhood on the family sheep and cattle farm, generating a respect for the land, and a love of both animals and reading.
Heather then wandered the world for three years before marrying and settling in rural Queensland, Australia where years of farming provided inspiration to fuel her dream to be a writer.
With eleven published books and the twelfth underway, Heather is now retired and is realising her dreams. When not writing, Heather spends her time in their large garden accompanied by two dogs and a varying number of chickens, hiking the vast expanses of Australia with her husband, or caring for grandchildren.

I love my trips to Featherwood Falls, the characters who live here are just so lovely and welcoming, it seems like a place that new people arrive and find their happiness, book six has lots happening coming up to Christmas and New Year and the residents have put everything into making it a great place to be.

Wedding bells are ringing for Briony and Alex, plans are underway and of course Ginny and Kirk’s as well and the Featherwood Station is very busy with all of its farming duties, Ginny is worried about the return of someone she would rather not be returning and life is very busy at Featherwood Station and the hotel.

There is a couple of new people arriving in town Francene who would love to start a new life and return to her pastry chef roots, it is a long time since Francene has felt this comfortable all thanks to making friends with Eleanor, finding the perfect place to start her own tearoom will be perfect.

Bryn, has arrived in town on his way home for Christmas, Bryn has an injury due to an accident and has come a long ways since then and it is a long time since he has been home, but he wants to find himself again first and he has ideas for a new life for himself, has he found it in Featherwood Falls and with the beautiful Francene?

I loved this one, all the friends from past books are here for this wonderful time of the year, there are a few ups and downs along the way for many of them, all adding to the story, it is filled with emotion in so many ways and I do hope there is more to come in this series, I love seeing the town grow with new residents. Francene and Bryn make lovely new residents.

I do highly recommend this one and the series to any lover of a good romance, it is beautifully written and had me turning the pages.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.

Francene is attempting to escape unhappy memories and trying to return to her culinary past when she meets a senior resident Eleanor in the block of apartments where she is hoping to rent. When she tends to Eleanor when she has a fall, Francene falls in with Eleanor's suggestion that she accompany her to the small village of Featherwood Falls where Eleanor is having a new home built.

Bryn is suffering the trauma of an accident and after two years of recovery, he now feels the time has come for him to resume his life. While still deciding what his future will be, Bryn finds himself in the small village of Featherwood Falls where the residents are welcoming and seemingly not so curious of his limp and reliance on a cane. Could this delightful village become his new life and his future?

Ginny prepares for a happy and trouble-free festive season while at the same time preparing for her daughter's wedding. After overhearing a conversation between a couple of villagers, Ginny is not so sure their peaceful village is prepared for what is to come.

This is Book #6 and the final book in the Featherwood Falls series by Heather Reyburn. Though I have not yet read the previous five books, I was very happy to read this festive story. And though some secrets are revealed in this final book, I know I can very happily go back to Book #1 and catch up with each following instalment of the series.

I loved this story and highly recommend Heather Reyburn's series books to other readers. Reading series books is one of my favourite things...meeting and enjoying the characters, their lives and particularly I enjoy the warmth of small country towns.

Big thanks to Heather for sending us a copy to read and review.
The festive season has hit Featherwood Falls.
A season that celebrates a wedding, new arrivals and few other surprises.
A place where second chance love thrives and has a community that bands together.
Ginny and Kirk are preparing for the wedding of daughter Briony and their Scottish son in law while running the farm and guest houses.
The suggestion of a double wedding raises Ginny’s already hot body temperature.
Meanwhile convicted neighbour Nigel is soon to be released from prison.
The unknown causing Ginny angst and fear.
Newcomers Francene and Bryn have moved to the area bearing their own individual motives and baggage.
Meeting each other in town will make the move even more luring for both.
The warmth of a rural community, accidents and a storm all shape this very good plot.
The continuity of the regulars makes this a wonderful series.
I always enjoy a visit to Featherwood Falls.

I love reading, any genre but my favourite is Small Town Rural stories, especially in a series. I love how you can connect to the characters. You live their dreams, you feel their pain, you laugh with them and you cry with them. One of the series I really enjoy reading is Heather Reyburn’s Featherwood Falls series. I have fell in love with all the residents of this quaint little village. Her latest offering A Festive Featherwood Falls hasn’t let me down. All my favourite people are back again as well as new residents, Francine and Bryn, both recovering from traumatic events but with the peace, solitude and the caring from all the residents they find their place in life. A wonderful series, and if you haven’t read any of the series, do yourself a favour and pick it up.

A Festive Featherwood Falls is the sixth, and final, book in the Featherwood Falls series and was a 5 star read!

Ginny has come a long way since she was the grieving widow, being menaced, in the first book. Now partnered with the wonderful Kirk they run Featherwood Station and B&B together, and are planning their wedding. Daughter Briony and her Scottish beau, Alex, are also holding their wedding just before Christmas and everyone in the small community is busy pitching in together to make sure it all goes off with out a hitch. Ginny has one last crisis to get through as an unpleasant blast from the past rears it’s ugly head, but now she no longer has to face things alone.

Two new characters have arrived in town, both damaged from previous life experiences, and their growing romance is so lovely as they learn to trust other people, and each other. I particular related to Francene as I have a family member currently escaping from the same experience.

I had so many emotions while reading the story - I laughed, teared up, crossed my fingers, held my breath, sighed and cheered. Of course, being a Heather Reyburn story, things didn’t run smoothly, there are some major dramas which needed to be overcome before the very satisfying final ending.

The setting is so familiar to me because I live less than an hour away. Although Featherwood Falls itself is fictional, it’s location between Warwick and Stanthorpe is real, and the scenery descriptions were vivid in my mind as I read them.

I have read book 1 (another 5 star read) but that did not stop me from following who was who, and how they were connected. I plan to go back and read the other books and discover why, and how, the other couples arrived in Featherwood Falls and got together.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Parts of this excellent novel were initially challenging as they referred to Ginny’s backstory, which was included in previous books in the series, some of which I have not read. Despite this, enough detail was given to assist the reader to eventually fill in the gaps.
Ms Reyburn develops several plots in this absorbing instalment of Featherwood Falls, with the arrival of new residents, Eleanor, Francene and Bryn, sharing the limelight with town matriarch, Ginny and her family.
The storyline flows easily and, although there are several near catastrophes, the ultimate outcome is a happy one!
I received an ARC from the author and have included my honest opinion.

I want to say again, this is a beautiful series, but should, in my opinion, be read in order - as most series should be I imagine!!
I just loved the final book and very much enjoyed the whole series. The wonderful descriptions of the Australian countryside, the excellent way farming practises are described and the beautiful development of characters makes for very enjoyable reading. The interaction of characters from the first book to the last is wonderfully written.
A very satisfying series, beautifully written with people you feel you know and love.
Very highly recommend the series. I enjoyed it so much.

Featherwood Falls #6
A Festive Featherwood Falls
By Heather Reyburn

Another heart-warming book by Heather Reyburn.

Ginny prepares for a happy, trouble-free festive season on the farm.

But as Christmas approaches, things begin to change, and the question is, will the residents of Featherwood Falls have a happy Christmas.

This book, No #6,  is the final book in this Featherwood Falls series. I loved the way it ended, wrapping the series up.

A definite 5 Stars from me.
