Odin and Elina's story veered away from the usual revenge trope that resulted in a original and unique addition to a genre that can be repetitive. The author did an excellent job in writing a piece that began as one thing but evolves into a story with countless layers that the reader must unpack in order to understand the depth, consequences and history of how the two characters come together initially and how they end up. I felt the story was well paced and provided me enough suspense, mystery and action to keep me reading. The relationship between Odin and Elina is a slow burn because it begins as a "sex only" arrangement that gradually grows into something that neither character expected.

I like how Elina's character evolved in dealing with her dyslexia, and how she discovers that her entire family were the real reasons behind her indecisiveness and fear. Once she finally understands how her father, mother demoralized her as a child and young woman, she is able to become the woman she could have been all along. It takes the protection and love from Odin as well as Zoe to help her explore and find an escape from her dysfunctional and destructive childhood. Naim "the Sheik" is a constant threat to Elina and to Odin throughout the book who finally meets the end he deserves.

Odin's character like Elina's is one that has many sides to it and a history that appears as one thing only to find out that what he was told as a child was a lie in order to make him a willing puppet of that person's revenge. His character is damaged and it's the love for Elina that finally brings him to not only face the person who destroyed his family but also the man who he considered a savior, but in reality fell short.

The road that Odin and Elina must travel together is full of detours, closures and dead ends until the story finally comes together and all the monsters in this story meet their due. I loved how Odin left Elina's father fate to the islanders. I thought of what many refer to as "karma" for Elina's father who brought so much pain and suffering to so many. The man was a heartless monster that needed to be put down in a very slow methodical way, which I am confident was.

I have added this author to my list of go-to's and hope that there are more books from her in the future.

Loved reading Odin & Elina's story. The protector in Odin is one of my favorite things about the book. The story starts off when Odin is twelve years old. It touches on the tragedy he faced at a young age. His "rescuer" encourages Odin to plan and make "him" pay for killing his family.
When Odin is eighteen, he is living with his father's cousin who works for the enemy. He's about to make his way to the United States. He was offered a scholarship to study and play basketball in the US. The book fast forwards again to when he is nearly thirty-six years old. He is the CEO of a company that is the most powerful company in the U.S. working in Information Security. He is currently in Greece tying up the last few loose ends to end Leandros Argyros. He's about to do a speech at the party he has thrown on the island in Greece when he hears a disturbance. Not holding back, he enters the room to find a terrible man being forceful with Elin Argyros, the enemies oldest daughter. He tells the Sheik to leave her alone and leave. Odin eventually makes his speech announcing to everyone in attendance that Leandros is broke. The next morning Odin is awoken by his right-hand man tell him that Leandros ran away. Him and his wife, Elina's parents, also left her behind. As soon as Odin discovers all of this, he immediately goes to the mansion to search for Elina. Odin was almost too late, but despite her injuries, he got there in time.
From this point forward, the story gets better and better. You learn the answer to all the questions you can think of. You also get to watch their beautiful story unfold as Odin gives Elina a second chance at life. As always, looking forward to more.

About Love and Revenge is the second book in the Lykaios Family series. If you like a morally grey billionaire that has revenge plans for his enemy and he falls in love with the enemies virgin daughter then I recommend this book to you. Also, the MCs are in their 30s and the first part of the book takes place in Greece. I liked the plot and the suspense but this book IMO never had a WOW moment so I give this book 3.5 stars.
TW: sexual harassment, domestic violence, grief, murder, explicit sex scenes and Dyslexia.

Odin Lykaios is a billionaire Tech CEO who lost his family in a fire and he was badly burnt while escaping. He promised his rescuer that he would take down the man responsible but he had no idea that his enemies beautiful daughter would need saving.

Elina Argyros has secrets and hides them well. Her father has sold her to a Sheikh and fled. But her fathers enemy has saved her twice from sexual assault and is now offering her a job in NYC and a chance at being independent.

Odin and Elina have chemistry but she doesn't want to mess up their working relationship by getting involved. When the Sheikh finds her she is forced to live with Odin and that changes things.

They create a routine that draws them closer but neither want to put a title on what they have. When Elina finds out what his revenge plans entail will she stay or go?

I would like to thank @theauthor.agency and @lemoynebooks for my advance digital copy and in return I voluntarily give an honest review.

Odin is a ruthless CEO, Greek, billionaire who is bent on revenge against the man who killed his family. What he doesn't plan on is falling for his enemy's daughter. He has been consumed by his need for revenge since he was a boy, but now he can't stop thinking about Elina. She comes into Odin's life after her father betrayed her. He almost instantly falls for Elina and becomes her protector. Both Elina and Odin have had a rough past and it's something they have to work through. This story was super steamy and a very interesting read! I enjoyed the characters, the age gap and the enemies to lovers aspects of the story.

[eARC The Author Agency] This was a great story. The chemistry between Odin and Elina was off the charts, sexy, and so sweet all at the same time.

Elina had so much trauma from her childhood and adult life. She goes through so much growth in this book. Her inner strength was fantastic.

Odin had a life of revenge and hate. He also goes through growth and learning about himself.

The relationship between Odin and Elina was beautiful, raw, and spicy. They were the perfect match for each other in every way.

Good read!

The storyline is a breath of fresh air. The main storyline is written from the male POV and done well. It's an easy read that still holds attention. Revenge, forced proximity, main character self growth.

I enjoyed the book greatly! 🥰

The chemistry between Elina and Odin could be felt from every interaction they had with each other and I loved that. 🥰

I just couldn't with this book. FMC is a 31 yr old nieve childlike vigin who has literally never made a decision before in her life and the MMC is a 36 yr old who's literal only mission in life is revenge until he white knights the FMC who is literally the Capulet to his Montague. At 70% into the story they're banging like bunnies but her best defense to why she won't marry him is a learning disorder and I just can't. I tried so hard to continue part that but everything just kept piling on that the book never redeemed itself.
I received my copy free for review.

🏺About love and revenge, D. A. Lemoyne
374 pagini (Lykaios Family, #2)

🏺Posibile spoilere!

About Love and Revenge is the second book in the Lykaios family series. It’s a story of a man that survived a fire that killed his family, and became hell bent on getting revenge on the man that destroyed his family. His life from twelve years old until adulthood becomes completely about destroying the man that caused him so much grief. But his path for revenge leads him to the daughter of his enemy. The passion between the two is palpable and steamy. There was always a draw between the two and he unintentionally becomes her savior. The books in this series are standalones, but having read both so far, I would recommend reading both books in the series and any more that come down the pipe. The characters that D. A. Lemoyne writes are fantastic and their trauma and struggles shape who they become.

There is no word more perfect to describe Odin than ruthless. His entire world revolves around him getting his revenge. He has to take everything from his enemy, but this obsession leads him to the women that he becomes determined to be his. From the age of twelve he keeps his one goal in mind and becomes a billionaire that owns everything. At the beginning he is very one track minded, but as he gets to know Elina, his focus shifts and becomes all about her. But instead of being obsessed with destroying her, he is determined to protect her. Odin is not the sweet, perfect MMC that you often dream of. He is dark and surrounds hisself with the darkness.

Elina is more than she appears. She hides so much and has become amazing at covering up everything she is feeling. She doesn’t blindly follow her father or even care for him. She has been through so much and while she may seem weak, she has an internal strength that makes her perfect for Odin.

This book was entertaining and a great second book in this series. I was a big fan of the two MCs in the first book, but I quickly fell for the two MCs in this one. They make this book what it is. The spicy times between them are fantastic and this is an excellent billionaire romance.

About Love & Revenge, the second instalment in D. A. Lemoyne's Lykaios Family series, is an intense, high-stakes romance that explores the thin line between love and revenge. Although part of a series, this book can stand alone, introducing readers to Odin Lykaios, a powerful tech CEO with a fierce blend of Nordic and Greek heritage, and Elina Argyros, the daughter of his sworn enemy.

Odin, embodying both Norse strength and Greek pride, is relentless in his pursuit of justice. He's a character who is driven, powerful, and unapologetically ruthless—a man who sees Elina as a means to his revenge until emotions complicate his plans. Elina, on the other hand, is forced to turn to Odin for protection after betrayals shake her trust in her own family. Despite the powerful attraction between them, both characters know they’re on opposite sides of a dangerous family feud.

The chemistry between Odin and Elina is electric, and their relationship builds on a foundation of tension and intrigue. D. A. Lemoyne deftly crafts their dynamic, mixing suspense with moments of vulnerability, as both characters wrestle with loyalty, justice, and ultimately, love. The author’s writing brings out the raw intensity of their connection, making each twist and turn compelling.

This novel is perfect for readers who enjoy romance with strong elements of suspense, family drama, and moral complexity. About Love & Revenge goes beyond a typical love story, blending mythology, betrayal, and redemption into a compelling narrative. It’s a must-read for fans of intense romance with powerful, morally grey characters.

About love and revenge is the second book in the Lykaios Family book series. This book focuses on Odin whose family were brutally killed in a fire, although he was burned he survived. He was rescued by a man who stirred up the hatred that Odin had for the man who killed his family Leandro. He was raised to hate him and plan to destroy his whole life. So Odin studied and worked and became a billionaire and just as he has Leandro where he wants him, he runs away and leaves his daughter Elina. Now Elina and Odin had crossed paths as teenagers but Odin rebuffed her friendship attempt. Elina like Odin has a tough exterior they don’t let people in, they don’t let others know how they are feeling. But Elina was abandoned by her parents and had no money or way to support herself accepted a job offer from Odin to plan events for him. Odin is everything we like in a MMC, he’s tough, possessive, ruthless and very determined to enact his revenge. Elina is a very strong MFC, she has developed the ability to mask her emotions and keep her feelings to herself. She uses this as shield to protect herself. These two were meant to be together, two people who had terrible childhoods they were mentally abused and not given love. As they get closer to each other not just physically but mentally danger lurks around the corner and Odin still has to complete his revenge against Eliana’s father. This was a wonderful story, it moved fast. I loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. I enjoy when 2 damaged characters find themselves when they fall in love. These two people desperately needed love and acceptance in their lives and it was fantastic watching it happen.

Book Review: About Love and Revenge
By: D.A. Lemoyne

This was my first read by D. A. Lemoyne and I really enjoyed it!

The story is about Odin and Elina it definitely was a unique and new way for the revenge trope and I highly enjoyed it!

She beautifully wrote this story with such rich and complex layers that I had to really pay close attention to in order to have the story unfold and it did. It was so well written. It’s a rich plot and the backstory just gives you such an in depth look on how the characters came to be. It was the perfect balance of mystery, suspense, spicy moments, and action. The way the two characters go from just a physical relationship to deep connection and how it took both of them by surprise.

I loved the dyslexia rep as it made me feel connected to her. I was taught to read incorrectly they told me it was ok to tac when it said cat and I was like 2 or 3 grade before I really felt good with reading. I could empathize with her. She has a lot of trauma that she works through during this book and it’s such an amazing experience.

I liked Odins character ARC and how much he changed during the story he was so damaged by his past and still he was so protective. Seeing him thought out the story as he worked towards revenge it was a great transition. My favorite part was all the bad guys getting what the deserved in this story. I’m excited for more from this author!

If you like a good billionaire romance mixed in with enemies to lovers trope, then this is the book for you.

This is the second book in the Lykaios family series and follows the story of Odin who is out for revenge after a powerful man destroyed his family. The FMC character, Elina, is his enemy’s daughter and she herself does not like her father after the way he treated her mother and her siblings.

A series of events ends up with Elina leaving the Greek island where she lived all her life and moving with Odin to NYC where she helps him organise parties.

Their sexual attraction and chemistry is strong and soon enough Odin is showing Elina who is a virgin how well he can treat her in the bedroom. 🔥

They both find it hard to trust after the trauma from their past and have to learn how to open up.

This is a story filled with angst, suspense, romance, spice and emotional scenes.

This book can be read as a standalone but best to be read in reading order so you can meet the other characters in the first book.

I quite enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good billionaire romance.

Odin is 12 years old when he is the only survivor is a fire and murder that killed his entire family. After that time, he is raised by a mysterious father figure who grooms him to seek revenge. When he is about to 18, right before moving to America, he meets a young girl, and daughter of his enemy Elina. Years later when his plan for revenge is finally taking shape he returns to his small greek island to a grown Elina. Through a series of events he saves Elina from a vicious man whom her dad has essentially sold her too and takes her to America. As they grow closer, he starts to think of other things than revenge. As Elina and Odin grow closer, he has to decide if revenge against the father of the woman he loves is as important as it once was.

This is a dark romance with a grey MMC. The best part of this book are the internal struggles that both Odin and Elina are dealing with. On the surface Odin seems to have it all together but dealing with the weight of his family’s murder while spending his entire life seeking revenge has taken a tool. Elina has lived her life without anyone in her corner and with extreme abuse from her father and apathy from her mother. Additionally, she is struggling with a life long disorder that causes her to think that she isn’t worthy of anything good in her life. Oden and Elina need each other in ways they don’t even understand and once they really start to let each other in, they form a bond that is ultimate couple goals. Great Read.

✨️Review:
I always enjoy a well executed revenge story! This one hits the marks for having an enigmatic wronged morally grey hero in Odin. He knows what he wants. Just as he knows very quickly that he also wants he enemie's daughter, Elina. Perhaps a bit instalust for my liking but I liked that Elina had some innocence about her along with her strength.

The way in which she ends up in his employ is done efficiently and believably. There actually isn't as much hate from him as I thought there might be when it came to his desires for Elina (seeing as her family ruined his life). I would've liked a bit more angst from him actually, but I love my angsty men!

He turns out to be a solid protector and has an admirable code. He always lets Elina decide. Elina is honest about her wanton feelings for him too, so their dance around their se3ual tension is expected and kinda fun.

Later in I was happy to see the spicy stuff segway to the revenge and suspense aspect! A solid recommendation 👌

All his life, Odin has prepared to bring down Leandros Argyros to seek revenge for his family. He finally succeeds but due to an incident, he ends up hiring Elina, the eldest daughter of Leandros to organise events on his behalf.

He moves her to Manhattan where he is based and that brings a big change to the sheltered Elina’s life. To satisfy their mutual attraction, they agree on a pact with “benefits” but with no emotions allowed.

I loved Zoe’s appearance in this book as I enjoyed her character from the first book in the series. Due to her past, Elina finds it hard to be her true self and to trust in others. I liked that she found a true friend in Zoe. But can Elina and Odin share the same level of trust or will her family name prevent them from getting their happy ending? Read this to find out.

As more and more of their past is revealed, we learn more about how horrible Leandros is and the greatest betrayal of all time to Odin. Thankfully, Odin now has something way better than revenge to help him carry on – Elina’s unconditional love for him!

I was captivated by this author's storytelling. D.A. Lemoyne took me on an incredible journey with Christos' cousin, Odin Lykaios, and his soulmate, Elina. Both characters had traumatic pasts—Odin lost his parents and sister in a fire, while Elina suffered abuse from her father, who tormented her, her siblings, and their mother both physically and mentally. The story also explored Elina’s struggle with dyslexia, which her father used to demean her, calling her stupid and never encouraging her to overcome it. Elina was rescued from being raped by Naim, a Sheikh her father sold her to while fleeing the country, by Odin, who became her savior and later husband. Odin’s arc was just as gripping—he was manipulated into believing that Leandros, Elina’s father, and his own mother were behind his family’s death, a lie his uncle and guardian perpetuated, only for Odin to learn the truth after his uncle’s death. The story was full of angst, mystery, violence, and romance. I loved seeing Christos and his wife Zoe make an appearance, and the hint of another story in this duet was thrilling. It was such an engrossing read that I couldn’t wait to dive back in whenever life interrupted me. I would highly recommend this story and other stories by her, which I am getting ready to read because her books are that amazing.

Odin and Elina's story isn't a fairytale by any means. They have many secrets between them, along with tragedies to overcome, and yet somehow, the two of them together fit perfectly. ❤️

I didn't think they were capable of doing the whole happily ever after part, I honestly thought his revenge would destroy them. I am happy to report I was wrong. Odin didn't let his hatred win and was able to let it all go for them. He may not be a run of the mill "good" man, but he definitely isn't evil. Sure, there are some morally gray areas in him, but ultimately, he's a man searching for the good parts of life, and when he finds them, he fights for it with no bounds.

Elina is a strong character. I loved her for being fierce and determined. She could have cowered and fallen apart. I wouldn't have blamed her. She chose to keep her head held high and fight for herself. I loved that. Every second of her journey, I smiled for her. Her determination to better herself was wonderful.

Loved their story and loved them together. 🙃❤️

I quite enjoyed this book. The suspense and steam were the highlight along with the intense connection between them and, of course, the main background storyline of Odin's revenge plot against Elina's father, Leandros Argyros. Who sadly tried to sell her off to the evil Sheik Naim.

Alongside his many dirty deeds, he deserves everything coming to him, and sadly, he and her mother abandons Elina to the Sheik only for Odin to rescue her.

The book and storyline were great. The suspense was great, the steam and connection and HEA was great. But... there was something missing for me within the characters themselves. Don't get me wrong, I loved Odin. I actually thought he was sweet, kind, and caring when it came to Elina. But I could not connect with them. Neither of them, and I LOVE connecting with the characters in the stories I read. Otherwise I found it to be a great read!

This is just my opinion alone!

I recommend 👌

💜💜💜ARC Review💜💜💜

I found this book to be quite enjoyable. The suspense, steamy scenes, and the intense bond between Odin and Elina were definitely highlights. The revenge plot against Leandros Argyros provided an exciting backdrop to the story. However, I felt a bit disconnected from the characters themselves. While Odin was sweet and caring towards Elina, I didn't feel a strong connection to either of them. Despite this, the overall story, suspense, and romantic elements were well-executed. If you enjoy a thrilling romance with a touch of darkness, I recommend giving this book a try.

I enjoyed this book based on the relationship between Odin and Elina. Their relationship was full of secrets, tension and passion. They have both suffered tough pasts where they have come from a lot of trauma, mistreatment and neglect. Odin had been found by his saviour but suffered his entire childhood and teenage years fueled by hatred for a single man. Elina suffered at the hands of her hostile father and grew up alone and isolated. Both coming from opposite sides of this family feud both Odin and Elina try to deny their attraction to one another and fail. Odin and Elina navigate new territories while trying to not complicate matter further with their feelings for one another. This book delves into the history of where their secrets lie while they both try to form a future together. There was lots of spicy scenes as well as suspenseful scenes and you were left wanting more.

Holy Hot Billionaire! Odin was the total package! Imma STAN for a Morally grey man who is soft for his girl! And all the “mine” vibes he was throwing around! 😍I loved seeing Elina grow into who she was meant to be and watching her relationship with Odin evolve.
While I enjoyed this book and that it was pretty fast paced. I felt like I was missing something. This is just a me issue.
D.A. Lemoyne is a new to me author and I would definitely pick up another book in the future.

The story in this book is really good. You have intrigue, suspense, spice, revenge and redemption. The chemistry between Odin and Elina is so explosive you can feel it (no matter how much they try to fight it). And the plot twists!!!! Oh did I mention there is spice?? They can’t seem to ever get enough of each other. I also really liked how Elina, even though she had her issues, was not this meek little fmc. She was strong and feisty. She stood up for herself and fought for herself. Oh and her family is nuts! The only thing I didn’t like about this book was the language/dialect/wording. It sounded strange to me and for the first few chapters I was confused. But the story sucked me in so well and I finished it so fast!

I have not read book 1 however I don’t think this mattered.
This story of Odin and Elina focuses on the two MCs having a troubled past to get to the point where they meet. Elina is sheltered however is feisty and a match for Odin despite her innocence. This book covers the struggles they face as they continue to battle challenges. An interesting story with medium spice - a little long at times and although I loved Odin at times his character seemed a bit disconnected but it was an enjoyable read

I received a free e-copy from a Goodeads giveaway.

With this being the second book, I read the first one first even though both books are standalones. I enjoyed the first one and was excited to get into this one, but I really struggled with this book. While that premise was interesting, I felt that the lead up to their relationship was too quick. Odin seems to forget his plans for revenge quickly and Elina after going through some traumatizing events just instatly trusts a man that has announced that he has bankrupted her family. I think I would've enjoyed it more if there was a little more development of their relationship from that standpoint.
