I struggle with gluttony, so this helped a bit.

What do you mean Mindi's phone number is 8675309? I thought it was funny and told my dad and he agreed.

I love how Fr. Thomas just knows when Rolland need Confession. When he sees Rolland come find him, he's just like, "I'll go get my stole."

I was so worried for Grandpa.

I've mentioned before that Rolland's problems stem from the girls he meets. I noticed that the girl has a color (eye color, hair color, or dress color) that corresponds with the color of the dragon that Rolland is struggling with. Interesting...

Dragon Slayer Maxim for Gula, the Indigo Dragon of Gluttony: "If a single dragon is your friend, then all of them will be your end."

BATTLE CRY FOR GULA
The indigo dragon changes color like moods,
It's greedy like green but this time for foods.
It has a mysterious mixture of purple and blue,
And a dangerous appetite that can't be subdued.
Temperance and fasting can keep it at bay,
Like Therese of Lisieux and her little way.
Small sacrifices are great acts of love,
That can conquer this dragon that can't get enough.
The Vambrace of Right Judgement can help you decide,
Choices that keep you healthy, wealthy, and wise.

This 6th book in the series hit home with me. Some good messages in there about how to break some bad habits. Sir Rolland is in his second to the last year when he gets bit by the dragon of gluttony. Several guest appearances from heaven above was a plus.
Great read. Truly, if you have middle school kids, buy these books. (even if you don't)
