In this gripping post-EMP survival thriller, one family must navigate off-grid living and the collapse of society.
When an EMP strikes, plunging the West Coast into chaos, Alan Hughes must lead a group of boys stranded far from their Alaskan home, while his wife, Zara, prepares their homestead for long-term survival. With communication down and society crumbling, they face impossible choices in this gripping post-EMP survival thriller. Perfect for fans of EMP survival fiction and dystopian novels, this story dives deep into the challenges of off-grid living, prepping for the end of the world, and the fight for survival against overwhelming odds.
This book has engaging likable characters and good pacing. I liked the idea of a family separated during a catastrophic event and working to get together. My own resin for the 3 starts is it just went from the action to a tied up ending fairly quick and though things were resolved it just kind of happened without much actually being played out. Would I recommend for a quick easy read? Yes.
Just finished this book. I did get it for free from Amazon. This is a REALLY good book. I did not want to put it down. If you like EMP stories don't miss this one. Warning the really bad guys do drop the F bomb in their conversations, just like in real life. No bed room scenes. Just a really good action story. This one could be made into a movie.
I am always interested to read how governments and people might react in an apocalypse. This story covered several stories of survival and one of very evil men who set out to take advantage of the calamity.
A family, separated, when an EMP strikes. How will they survive? Will they ever be together again? So much death and savagery. What will they have to do, have to become, if they survive? Only a few editing errors noted. Interesting story.
This could have been the beginning of a good series. What happened while they were sailing from whatever city they started from to landing in a small village? Alas we will never know.
