Beautiful story for children Millie makes plenty of mistakes. And she is also a fast runner, but she is unable to stop herself while running fast and creates more accidents. However, Millie decides to participate in a hurdle race. What happens after that? Lovely inspirational story for children and neat illustrations.

Funny story about a brave and determined little girl I
Millie is a determined little girl who make lots of mistakes but she learns from them to and uses her determination and positive spirit to achieve h er goals.
As a teacher and a mum, I’ve found that children need to be taught how to develop a growth mindset and develop resilience and confidence to improve and learn. This book is perfect for promoting this with young children from the start. Meet the adorable and clumsy Millie- a girl who keeps making mistakes and breaking things. She is embarrassed by her actions but doesn’t stop trying to achieve her dreams- will she succeed? Complete with fun, child-like illustrations too. What is there not to love about this book!
This book is a wild ride! While kids will obviously love the story of a child who can’t seem to get things right, they will be WOW’d by how hilarious her antics are. A great message about using failures to inspire success. I can easily see this being a bookshelf favorite. I already want to read it again!
Millie is a really fun character. Her antics will have parents and kids chuckling. The book is also a great way to remind kids to keep pushing through, even when they make “a million mistakes”.
Mistakes are growth and learning for all of us! This book made us laugh and cheer on Millie! What a beautiful story that will win the hearts of kids! Bonus laughs with those silly cats! 😂
Aniyah liked the fact that the story explained how all mistakes aren't bad. As a grandparent, I was thrilled that the author taught the importance of practicing and correcting mistakes to get better. Easy read, too.
I love the story that so empowered the little girls to be more optimistic about her mistakes. Couldn’t agree more that mistakes is not that too bad like it seems. Love it !
Te invito a descubrirlo😉
This story is about a girl named Millie who makes a million mistakes. She spills things, breaks things, adds too much glue. Millie has a dream of being an athlete so she signs up for a race. During the race, she forgets to jump and makes more mistakes. One mistake leads her to getting stuck in a tall tree. In order to get down, she has to solve the problem. Once down, she realizes that she can do anything she puts her mind to. She practices everyday, until the next race. In the end she learns that mistakes can become lessons once you put in the work.
I really liked this story, because it promotes a growth mindset in a easy and fun way for children to understand. Making mistakes is part of school, and Millie helps show how mistakes can help you to become even better.
I would use this at the beginning of the school year during a read aloud. Afterward, I would engage the class in a discussion about making mistakes and how we can learn from them. I would use this book as a way to build our classroom community by asking the kids questions about how they think Millie is feeling and what they could say to Millie. We could have a discussion about growth mindsets and do an activity. I would also leave this book out for them to reference throughout the year and if the students seem to need a refresher throughout the year, I would reread it to the class or in small groups.
It was good and inspiring (Although I'm pretty sure Millie is a superhero with all the inhuman things she could do) but I disliked how her Mom seemed so proud and supportive and cheered her on in her first race... But didn't notice her daughter got stuck and even abandoned her and went home. Then when Millie gets herself unstuck and returns home, her Mom is like, "Where were you?" And I was just like 🤦♀️ really? She didn't even look for her or notice where she went. Aside from that, it was a cute book, I just don't think, in a children's book, it should be viewed as "ok" for a parent to be neglectful. I mean, even the Dad didn't go looking for his daughter. Plus, poor Millie accumulated so many injuries and no one ever took her to the dentist or doctor. 🙄 I don't typically review negatively on kids books, because I enjoy people's creativity and usually chock things up to "cartoon logic" (like why do the kids have blue hair and both parents have brown? I'm just assuming they adopted alien kids at this point, lol.)
I'm not sure how to rate this book. I understand how this could be used to help build confidence within children, but there was so much that felt weird about this book when reading it.
I do understand that childrens books aren't, by design; always realistic.
But a child getting stuck in a tree?
A child staying there all night and her parents not getting involved to help get her down?
I do see, how this book could be used to help build confidence within a child. But I also want to point out that someone running fast enough, especially a child, to break the jump hurdles; is unrealistic. I also think that the plot in general was just weird? I wouldn't read this book with my own kid. I think it's too far out there? It's alright as far as kids books go and I also think this would be todays generations version of totally chic? or Groovy chic? Both in illustration and plot-
But all around, it's just a weird book. I had an uncomfortable time reading it.

This book is about a young girl who makes a bunch of mistakes. Regardless of the fact that she is continuously making mistakes she decides that she wants to pursue being an athlete. She tries running hurdles, but she fails. Instead of giving up on herself she decides that instead she will practice and work hard. I enjoyed this book and found it to be inspirational. Sometimes we need to be reminded that just because we fail an activity the first time doesn’t mean we should give up, it means we should work harder. I think this book would be great for kindergarten- 2nd grade. I would encourage students to set small goals for themselves and think about some steps they could take to turn their dreams into reality.
Written for very young readers and listeners, ages 4-8, this book stars Millie as the little girl who makes a million mistakes. Everything she tries, she does it with a mistake here or there, sometimes the mistakes are pretty big too. Her biggest mistake was also embarrassing to her and she decided that she wanted to make it right. She trained and was very determined to try again. Her determination inspired her very own family. This story, about striving hard to overcome difficulties was very satisfying, especially when Millie successfully accomplished her goal.

This book was a cute and silly book to read and would be a great book to read to a classroom. While the book talks about a girl making many mistakes and never seeming to get anything right, she doesn't let that get her down and she continues to stay positive and give herself pep talks working hard. Turning mistakes into hard work, the lesson of the book, is a great lesson for kids to learn at an early age since it teaches them to not give up even when they keep making mistakes, mistakes can be turned around into lessons on how to improve for next time.
The Girl Who Makes a Million Mistakes is a wonderful uplifting female children's book that takes us through the eyes and life of the main character Millie who is constantly making mistakes but pushes through all of them and never gives up. This book not only strives to entertain its readers but pushes the message of not giving up when things are hard. Themes represented in this story are, bravery, confidence, and identity. I would place this book in my kindergarten library to serve as a reminder to my kiddos that mistakes are okay and are a part of learning.
This story is such a great motivational story to read to our students that we all make mistakes in our life, but our mistakes help us to try harder and to keep going without giving up. I think this book can really help show our students we all make mistakes in life, but we shouldn't let it define us on who we are as a person and the things we can do. This will be a great addition to add in my classroom library for my students.
