He loved. He lost. He killed.

The year is 2423, and the Jazz Age is in full swing—again.

Inexplicably drawn to the man, Hugo finds himself unable to kill him. Never before in his life has he disobeyed one of his boss’s orders, but there is just something about Evan Carter. Forced to form an uneasy alliance, the pair strike a deal to save Evan’s life and cover up Hugo’s failings hoping to deliver them both from a grisly fate at the hands of Tenebrium’s mafia and Hugo’s own family.

Enemies at first, unsure of who to trust and where to turn, it isn’t long before they have to confront their feeling for one another. On the streets rival families war as the pair fall irrevocably, desperately, in love. But their secret won’t stay secret forever.

Far too soon all is laid bare with deadly consequences and Hugo must ask how far is he willing to go for revenge?Neon is the Colour of Vengeance is a dark MM mafia romance about a hitman who falls in love with a man he was supposed to kill only to have that man killed by the people he trusts the most.

By night or neon light, he will have his revenge…

Neon is the Colour of Vengeance is set in the same futuristic Gatsby era as my Flappers & False Gods series and can be read as a standalone or prequel companion novel as it features entirely new characters.

Lovers of John Wick and Peaky Blinders will find a home in Tenebrium City’s dark underworld.

I love this book!

This story had me captivated from the prologue. It was an intimate romance story set against a fast-paced action thriller in a futuristic yet historical setting. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Each character was so well-developed, and every twist and turn kept me on the edge of my seat. I laughed, cried, experienced deep love, and had my little reader’s heart thoroughly engaged.
I appreciate Elanor Miller’s straightforward writing, which made the story easy and enjoyable to read. I will also add the Tenebrium and Caligo books to my TBR. And a node to the beautiful artwork and book covers.

It was an awesome read!

I don’t typically gravitate towards dark romances but something about Neon is the Colour of Vengeance drew me in.

Hugo and Evan were just so well written. They had a strong connection from the start and the chemistry slowly built to the point of no return. Some of the MAFIA parts were not for me but I just skipped over them and continued with the story.

Do I think i would read another dark romance? Maybe is Eleanor Miller wrote it. I am glad I chose to get out of my comfort zone with this one.

Thank you R & R Book Tours for allowing me to be part of the blog tour and sending me an ARC to read and review

ARC review!!! 4.5 stars! 🤍 Thank you to Elanor Miller for an advanced copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. I loved diving into the city of Tenebrium and all its corrupt glory.

The year is 2423, and in a dystopian future, Tenebrium City is an ode to the Roaring 20s, complete with flappers, alcohol prohibition, and of course, flying cars soaring high above the city’s inhabitants. In the Underworld of Tenebrium, Hugo Ford is a contract killer for one of the major crime families in the city - the Conti family. Evan Carter is an up and coming surgeon trying to provide stability and aid to those who may fall victim to the likes of Hugo, and others like him. The two are a match made in hell; they could not be more opposite. However, once they come into contact, they can’t deny their attraction to each other.

This story was so creative and well thought out. I truly loved the setting - I have always loved reading about the 20s and the vibes that come with it. This book was that on steroids, complete with technological implants called cicadas, flying cabs called Jonks, and 4 major crime families vying for the right to be called kings of the city. While Neon is the Colour of Vengeance deals primarily with the Conti family and the Kelly family, there is a nice prologue to acquaint yourself with all the comings and goings in Tenebrium.

As for the characters, I truly loved Hugo and Evan. They were multidimensional and each had a backstory that showed the reader how they ended up the way they did. I also LOVED the representation in this book - there was of course two gay MMCs, lots of LGBTQ couples and love stories, tons of racial representation, and inclusive of all types of people and pronouns. The crime families in this book may be evil, but one thing they don’t do is discriminate. Everyone was treated as an equal when it came to identity in all parts of the city.

I really appreciate that not all books have a happy ending. It makes it more real for me as a reader when reading about this type of setting when not everything is sunshine and roses at the end. I won’t spoil anything (Elanor herself calls this a spicy and tragic mafia story), but I really thought the way this book ended was wrapped up perfectly with a bow. Devastating, yes, completely, but it was the perfect end for the characters in my opinion.

I’d definitely recommend this book if you’re a fan of enemies to lovers, dystopian settings, mafia dealings, and LGBTQ romance representation. This was a blast! I’d definitely read Elanor’s other books! This book is out TOMORROW, November 5th!!💖💖💖

"You're either a saint or an idiot."

spoiler-free | tropes: slow burn, forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers

It's rare to find a good, solid tragedy these days, but Miller has done it flawlessly, albeit with a twist.

Hugo and Evan will forever be two characters that I will think about on a random Tuesday and become incredibly sad for. They will exist in my head for a very, very long time.

Immediately, I was hooked with the writing style alone. An author's ability to immerse the reader into the environment is what makes or breaks a storyline - for me, at least. Miller's descriptions of the setting were detailed, but not to the point where it felt dragging on. So many good quotes were pulled onto my notes doc as well!

(Side note about the fighting scenes: when written poorly, they are extremely hard to follow. Miller's were accurate and flow well. Nothing felt unnatural or awkward. Bravo!)

Any time I found myself thinking a reaction to the events of the book were unrealistic, it was defended near immediately and made sense to the plot. The complexity of the situations presented in NitCoV (yes, I've acronym-ized the title already) have equally as complex reactions and feelings, which further humanizes the characters. It's easy to relate to them when you both hate that they made a decision, but understand why it was made - because these are humans. Humans are flawed. It's refreshing to see characters that are flawed.

Speaking of the the characters: I either adored or loathed all of them; each character had unique personality and none of them felt like copies of another, even side characters. I got whiplash in the best way. I felt genuine dread for some. For others, horror, hate, pride, joy, kinship. I had major trust issues with any character by the end of this book.

Generally, if a book makes me feel something, it gets five stars. NitCoV would get six by that standard. I was punched in the gut several times over. Y'know, those moments you have to set the book down or close your screen and just reflect? So, so many of those.

I've already passed this recommendation to several people. If you're looking for a relatively short read with a writing style that is easy to digest, but still become invested in - you're looking at a book I couldn't recommend with any higher praise. Usually, this isn't my style of novel, but I greatly enjoyed every moment.

TLDR: I'm not the same person after reading this and I have thought about it frequently since I finished it. Read it.

I am devastated! Neon is the Colour of Vengeance has destroyed me in the best possible way. Elanor Miller, how could you? 😭 Hugo and Evan’s journey through the murky, neon-soaked underworld of Tenebrium City was intense, and I thought I was ready, but nothing could have prepared me for the heartbreak that came at the end. That twist… I didn’t see it coming, and it’s left me needing an emotional recovery! 💔

Set in a futuristic 2423, where the Jazz Age has somehow come alive again, this story follows Hugo Ford—a lethal, ruthless hitman, dedicated to his every mission, his every kill. Born and bred to serve Tenebrium’s mafia elite, Hugo’s life was straightforward—kill, get paid, repeat. But all that changed when he was ordered to take out Evan Carter. Instead of a clean kill, Hugo found himself mesmerized, unable to pull the trigger on a man who felt like his only source of light in Tenebrium’s shadows. ✨

Hugo and Evan’s alliance was built on uneasy trust, forcing them to work together to survive. What starts as a desperate partnership quickly becomes something deeper, something neither can deny despite the danger it brings. But in a world where rival families and deadly betrayals are the order of the day, Hugo and Evan’s love was fragile, exposed. Their chemistry was electric, and the slow-burn tension between them had me turning the pages at breakneck speed. 🔥

For fans of:
❤️‍🔥 MM Mafia Romance
🔪 Enemies to Lovers
🌶️🥵 Spicy, Intense Chemistry
💔 Tragic Romance
🩸 Revenge Plot
🍸 Futuristic Gatsby Era
🔫 John Wick / Peaky Blinders Vibes
🤐 Loyalty and Betrayal
🌦️ Grumpy x Sunshine
🤏 Forced Proximity
🕶️ Secret Identity

In the end, Hugo was left shattered, and so was I. His vengeance for Evan’s death was as chilling as it was raw. By the last page, I had a lump in my throat, absolutely wrecked by the loss he endures and the vengeance he seeks. Hugo’s descent into grief-fueled wrath was a journey as haunting as it was unforgettable. This book isn’t just a love story—it’s a tragedy steeped in neon lights, betrayal, and the relentless darkness of the mafia underworld. 🌃

Thank you so much to the author and RR Book Tours for the ARC. I’m still recovering, but this one will stay with me for a long time.

I had finished this book a while back, but I needed a few days to just process this because, wow, this was something else.

Neon is the Color of Vengeance offers a compelling story about the joys of a passionate and all-consuming love and the grief that follows the tragic loss of something beautiful. Set in the Jazz Age revived yet again in the futuristic world, Hugo Ford is an enthralling figure who evokes the emotions of everything he goes through as he struggles to break free from the life as a mafia hit man while also remaining loyal to those who are worthy of it—but the question is this: who is truly deserving of his loyalty and love?

Perhaps the bigger question is this: what truly makes a man a monster?

Miller doesn’t hold back as she carefully weaves together a beautiful picture of a sweet and hopeful romance blossoming between Hugo and Evan into something that of a tragedy that rivals that of Shakespeare and all of those who have written tragedies. Everything she has done is the work of an artist who takes careful care in how she delivers each scene so as to ensure no scene is left undone.

While I knew that it would end in a complete devastation to our main characters, what I didn’t know was the aftermath of the terrible loss and boy, that has absolutely wrecked me. Just like Hugo Ford did, I felt a small moment’s worth of a happiness and had felt that he would truly get his happily ever after. But as he fell into grief, I didn’t want to continue with the story and yet, I couldn’t find myself to put the book down. I completely broke at the last page.

Words cannot express just how much I love this book as much as it had broke me. I honestly would recommend this, but I’d check the trigger warnings on the author’s page beforehand. There’s a lot of darker themes that are said in the book.

Neon is the Colour of Vengeance is a tale of tragic love between two men who found love in the most unexpected of circumstances and had it terribly destroyed. If you're looking for a dark and emotional book with intriguing characters, consider reading this.

Hugo is a hitman and one of the most dangerous men in the city. Evan is a surgeon who feels unsatisfied with his life. They end up meeting in the worst way possible. I was intrigued by both men. Evan and Hugo were complex and felt human. I didn't like some of the things they did, but they were written in a good way that I understood their reasoning. I ended up caring for them, especially Hugo.

The suspense of what wondering what would happen next next to them had me on edge. I was hooked. It was fascinating seeing these two men from different worlds and different moral values learn to care for each other. They were total opposites. They had a bittersweet love, with some spicy, sweet and painful moments. Their romance felt truly tragic.

There is something special about Neon is the Colour of Vengeance. It won't be for everyone, but I really liked it. It was an emotional read that made me cry and stuck with me.

This was an ARC read and review. I'm grateful to the author for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

Think of an atmosphere like that of The Great Gatsby, but with a futuristic setting similar to The Fifth Element. Now imagine a story line close to John Wick, but with mob characters that can be compared to those seen in Peaky Blinders. These elements create the foundation of this amazing story that had me intrigued from the first page!

Elanor’s writing was beautiful and brought these characters to life in a way that had me feeling what they felt and experiencing their story right along with them. It’s an enemies to lovers, MM story that follows Evan and Hugo - two people who meet under the wrong circumstances, but feel such a strong connection to each other that they fight against all odds to be together.

Evan is a surgeon who ends up finding himself at the wrong place and the wrong time when he stumbles upon Hugo in the middle of one of his mob jobs. Rather than taking Evan’s life - Hugo forms a bond with Even which slowly turns into a romantic relationship. Hugo’s dangerous mob family is not happy with this new relationship. They end up turning against him, performing unforgivable acts that lead to Hugo’s rage and in turn, his vengeance.

I felt so many emotions during this read - intrigue, happiness, excitement, heartbreak, sadness, anger, denial and acceptance. This is not a story with a happy ending, but a story worth reading nevertheless.

Fav Quotes:
“I’ve never had anything. He’s not mine, but when he curls up against me at night, kisses me, takes my hand in his...it’s so easy to pretend that he is.”

“For just a little while I was someone’s. And now all I have is love for a dead man and hate for those who took him from me.”

Elanor Miller has done it again.

First of all, I’d like to express my sincere gratitude to the author Elanor Miller, for generously providing me with a free early copy and a free advanced reader copy. This review is entirely voluntarily, and I want to emphasize that it truly reflects my genuine emotions and thoughts about the story.

Star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(½) Spice Rating 🌶️🌶️🌶️

“Neon Is The Color Of Vengeance” is a compelling tragic MM Mafia Romance set within the same universe as Tenebrium and Caligo, the initial two books in the “Flapper and False Gods” series. From the very first page, I was once again thoroughly engrossed in this intricate and beautiful world that the author has created. It was a pleasure to return and explore more of the underworld of Tenebrium and its mafia dynamics. I genuinely enjoyed my time reading this book, and I have a particular fondness for tragic stories.

The romance between Hugo and Evan was particularly enjoyable, and I found myself desiring more of their relationship and the chemistry they shared. While their connection unfolded rather quickly, I appreciated the depth of their romance and the gradual closeness they achieved. It was rewarding to witness both characters discover the missing elements in their lives, ultimately finding those elements in one another.

The plot, rich with themes of revenge, was expertly crafted, showcasing Elanor Miller's remarkable ability to create compelling narratives. With each new release, it becomes increasingly evident how her skill in capturing the emotions of her characters continues to evolve, whether addressing romantic feelings, tension, grief, or anger. Despite the third-person narrative style, her writing evokes such powerful emotions that one can genuinely empathize with the characters; I felt a profound connection to Hugo's grief and fury and found myself wholeheartedly rooting for his success.

I can easily envision the vibrant world created by Elanor Miller as a successful film adaptation. She is a remarkably talented author who deserves greater recognition, and I sincerely hope she attains bestseller status in the near future. Without a doubt, she has become one of my favorite authors, effectively drawing me into the science fiction genre with her exquisite writing. I eagerly anticipate her upcoming releases.

MM Mafia Romance x John Wick x “Futuristic” Great Gatsby

Neon is the Colour Of Vengeance takes place within the same realm as Elanor’s ‘Flappers & False Gods’ Series! We follow the tragic, yet persuasive love story between Evan and Hugo; fair warning, this is not a happily ever after but what dark mafia story should be??

We meet Hugo first, he’s really well-explained, all the way down to his backstory! He’s hot, he’s complex, the achilles heel of romance. He really just needs something that can help him cope with the difficulties of his life.

Evan incoming!!! The sweetness to Hugo’s sour patch kids, the lover of all things Hugo - good or bad. Their relationship together only makes your love for them and their outcome that much more heartbreaking…

Extremely well written! Pace was easy to keep with this read, I ended up finishing it in one weekend! I haven’t read other books by Elanor before BUT this read definitely has me interested in the rest of her series! The plot was straight-forward but really detailed, it’s practically bursting at the seams with themes of anger, love, tension, revenge and grief. I felt a lot of emotions with this one and it's probably smart to keep a box of tissues with you at all times for this read, maybe some support ice cream and a blankie…

Spicier than what I expected! The detail and descriptions caught me off guard at first so make sure to read through the triggers list before reading!!

“Hugo will come for me.”
This line haunts my nightmares. I knew there would be no happy ending, I read the synopsis, but I still allowed myself to hope and I’m not convinced my heart will ever completely repair.
I knew I would love this book for two reasons: 1) Mafia romance is my favourite dark romance genre and 2) it was written by Elanor Miller.
Like with Tenebrium and Caligo, this book was impossible to put down. I am obsessed with the Tenebrium universe but (while I love Thea Williams) I thoroughly enjoyed getting a view of Tenebrium from someone directly involved in the underworld.
Hugo was such an interesting character. He didn’t come across as good or evil to me, just a guy who had a tough life starting out and did what he needed to to survive, even if that meant doing things that were… unsavoury to think about. (But I will say, my heart broke a little every time he called Samuel “dad” because clearly Samuel was no parent, that was obviously abuse and I wish I could hug Evan for showing Hugo how abusive the relationship was.)
Neon is the Colour of Vengeance made me crave more stories from the other characters in Tenebrium’s underworld. Let’s have something from one of Dill Kelly’s men next! Or more from Genevieve!
If you love dystopian, mafia romances between two characters that you can’t help but love flaws and all, definitely pick up a copy of Neon is the Colour of Vengeance.

"It is so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that's not possible, so I give you a one."

That about sums up my feelings on this book. To preface, I do not normally read Dark Romance, and I think that it has its issues; people continually pushing the envelope within a genre where the veil between the safe exploration of fantasy and concerning thoughts and material is already so thin. I have dipped my toe in before, specifically with "Haunting Adeline," which is itself a little concerning, but it is a thousand times better than this book was, and it comes down to the quality of the prose.

Miller’s choice to self publish is not a point against her ("Legally Blonde" and "Eragon" are examples of self published works having immense success), but her decision to seemingly forgo any round of editing is. This is her third book, a spinoff of her “Flappers and False Gods” duology, and yet typos are littered throughout, and the writing structure is stunted and clunky, to the point that keeping note of every confusing and mind-boggling line and paragraph became impossible.

This ended up being the book I chose to end Pride Month, and I was promised a spicy book. I was struggling at fifty pages in, and decided to keep going solely for the smut. And then halfway through, I could not force myself to continue any longer, which has led us to right now. Don’t read it, not even to be ironic, it’s not worth it.

***I received a copy of this as an ARC in exchange for my honest review ***

- Enemies to lovers - MM Romance - Tragic Mafia Romance - Protective MMC - Futuristic Gatsby meets John Wick vibes - Decopunk style - No HEA -

Let me start off by saying I will definitely be buying a physical copy of this book as well as Tenebrium and Caligo. First, because the cover art is absolutely stunning and you can totally judge this book by its cover. And second, because the story was so good that I could not put it down.
In this book, you get love, betrayal, loss, grief, violence, & vengeance. Strong backstories and world building. Real enemies to lovers tension. The "I'm attracted to and falling for you but I shouldn't be for so many reasons" inner struggles. He would change his entire life for the man he loves. Then he will burn the world to ashes for him.
This does not have a happy ending for anyone involved, including the reader, but it is a very well written story that pulls you in and falling in love (or hate) right alongside the characters.

Elanor brought this book to life. Her writing was simply beautiful. The prologue drew me in and I couldn’t get enough. I loved the jazz vibe. It reminds me of some of the best movies and shows I’ve watched. I loved that it was written in the futuristic way. I don’t think it was in Hugo’s plan to fall for Evan. His family wasn’t happy at all about it. They sure did let it be known as well. Emotions were all over the place with this one. I wanted to read faster to see what was going to happen but I also wanted to take it all in. The ending was heartbreaking. I loved this book, it’s going to sit with me for awhile.

The smut in this novel uses explicit language and a decent amount of detail. There is a good balance of plot and romance. There are several spicy scenes throughout the book, at least two or three, but potentially even more.

TLDR: I liked this book more than I thought I would. I liked Hugo and Evan a lot, I read this very fast because I always wanted to know what was coming next. And as a lover of Boardwalk Empire I loved the vibes!

World: The vibes on a futuristic 1920s is so cool. I love the vibe of the world in this a lot. I enjoyed the city, the atmosphere that was built every time Hugo went anywhere new and showed us a new club, neighborhood, or something new. The world was so rich and gorgeous it was very immersive.

Characters: I love Hugo. Hes a perfect example of he had no chance. His backstory really explained him. I felt like he tried so hard despite everything. He was complicated, layered, and also just hot. Evan was a great foil for Hugo, a romantic undoing and showed kindness to every one of Hugo's hard spots. The rest of the main cast, the Conti family was also very fun and messed up in their own unique ways which is a great representation of how trauma doesn't effect us all in the same way. My only negative for characters in this is you know immediately when you meet someone in this if they are important or not based on how much they are described.

Plot: The plot of this is very good, I liked where it went and I think it made a lot of sense with where they were and the life that Hugo and family all lived. This is not a happily ever after and I think it would have made less sense if it was. Did I wish it was when I was in the happy section? Yes, but I did like what happened. I do wish there was some good that took place post the ending but I also know that this is a prequel that sets up the world the way the author wants and this is important.

Wonderfully devastating.

As usual, Elanor Millers words create such a strong visual you feel like you’re walking the streets of Tenebrium. Neon is the Colour of Vengeance is a story that branches off from Tenebrium, bringing in a whole new set of characters. Tenebrium and Caligo had me invested in the city’s and the troubles that plagued them, Neon is the Colour of Vengeance had me invested in the Hugo and Evan’s story. I knew where things were headed, it’s right in the summary, but I hoped it was a misdirection. Every time either one was alone I was worried about what would happen. It was one of the most stressful books I’ve read in awhile, and heartbreaking but so incredibly good.

There is very much a John Wick vibe with this story, and I’ve always loved a good revenge story. Neon is the Colour of Vengeance will definitely be a top recommendation for anyone who’s looking for a tragic LGBTQ+ romance in the mafia world.

Another amazing one from my friend! Futuristic jazz city filled with mafia and murder plus so much more!

This is a mafia tragedy story so don’t think this has a happy ending but it’s absolutely beautiful in its telling! This definitely leaves you with complicated feelings toward the story as a whole and toward some of our characters.

This is definitely the spiciest novel for this author to date and I’m so happy for it! Especially between 2 LGBTQ+ individuals! I can always count on that from this author! I believe this is the only series I’ve read with nonbinary characters and I am so happy to see this representation here!

That ending…wow. That was just something else and I mean that in a great way! So if mafia romances are one of your favs, DEFINITELY check this out and also Tenebrium which is available on KU and Amazon now!

Elanor Miller does it again!!! I loved her other two books Tenebrium and Caligo and was so happy to be sent this one!! This one is set before the other books and so we get to meet characters we’ve previously met which was really nice to re familiarise yourself.

I love how the prologue is laid out like a history book, very much the same as the others. It feels very thought out and gives that GOT vibe. You could just imagine the amount of deep rooted history that’s part of this world that’s to be explored more.

This felt very much Romeo and Juliet esque with a twist as it’s a MM mafia romance. You really just constantly feel the danger throughout and wonder how far things will go. I love how inclusive it is too as you get various races, pronouns, sexualities.

It’s gritty, spicy, tragic story that I highly recommend reading!

This wasn’t my first Dark romance book but it was my first one with queer characters, and I loved the world that was built in Tenebrium. The MC’s and the side characters all have these beautiful and complex moralities that really do keep the feeling of dark romance living in that gray area. If you haven’t read dark romance but want to give it a try I think this is a good book to start with. We fall in love as Hugo and Evan as they do, even though the circumstances are… less than ideal. I do use the term dark Romance though I do think this book feels more like a suspense thriller with some queer romance inserted in. The plot is so intriguing, but this is not a book with a happy ending.
With this book we have futuristic Great Gatsby meets John Wick tied in a bow of Mafia Romance where queerness is woven into the threads.

I had no exposure to a mafia romance, aside from the manhwa, Under the Green Light by JAXX, but this book ripped my heart and did its damage!! I walked in with an HEA mindset and went out with empathy for the main characters. Hugo and Evan had a relationship that made me feel for them more as I read on, Evan being raised with love and care while Hugo being raised with survival instincts and obedience through their parental figures. I blame Eleanor Miller for a possible hollowness, but loved the rise and fall of this forbidden love story. (I’m also gonna leave this here because this is the best description of the book: https://youtu.be/DbQD8goZXR4?si=eVi_a...)

An odd mix of futuristic and roaring 20s, which Miller manages to pull off flawlessly, this book will have you enraptured, and feeling like you've just stepped onto the streets of Tenebrium City. I will say - heed the warnings in the blurb, and grab a box of tissues, because this is an emotional ride you won't soon forget. The world itself is so well done, and an amazing mash-up of eras. The descriptions are vivid, and it feels like you're watching everything unfold before you. The characters are unique and diverse - although the MMCs are gay, there are other LGBTQIA+ characters that surround them. I will admit, the ending made me cry a bit, but it felt like it fit with the story, and wasn't just thrown in to crush the reader. If you're a fan of The Great Gatsby or Peaky Blinders, then I highly recommend reading this!

This book is definitely a how to on vengeance! I loved the concept and both of our male MMCs were such well thought out and written characters. I enjoyed the way their relationship changed and grew through out the story.

This book was well paced with plenty of action and some nice sweet moments between the boys. Did I start reading this and forget that it had some tragedy in it yes… did I love it more for that yes. I kept wishing for a twist that would never come and I actually loved the book so much more for it because it was real, things don’t always turn out perfectly or exactly like our brains want it to and that is so real!

This book can be read as a standalone or a prequel to her “Flappers And False Gods” series which I’m a massive fan of.

It’s a dark and gritty dystopian with a twist—the jazz era is in full swing again—and honestly it’s such a unique element that I really love.

This story features a MM enemies to lovers romance that sadly, has a heartbreaking ending. But our Hugo does get his vengeance!

It’s like the MM equivalent of John Wick if the story was told earlier to show the romance before ripping out your heart!

ARC Review: One of the easiest five stars I’ve ever given! Listen, I loved Tenebrium and Caligo, but to me this book was masterful. This has to be one of my top five favorite books of all time. The story is so magnificently told, weaving both life and tragedy together. I was left speechless once finished.
It’s almost ridiculous how talented Elanor is. If you haven’t read any of her books yet, let’s get going. You will never be disappointed. Plus, we all love a tragic revenge story. No?

I was completely captivated by this book. The ending took me by surprise, but it was amazing. Hugo and Evan's journey is filled with raw emotion—fear, love, hatred, and sadness. The author made their struggles feel incredibly real. You can’t help but empathise with Hugo and understand the motives behind his every action. This story will stay with me for a really long time.

A M/M mafia romance based in the neon lighted city of Tenebrium; containing spice, revenge, violence and hope with good diversity and use of pronouns. This one was an October arc read for me which I enjoyed and would recommend!

4.5 stars for this beauty!

This was beautifully tragic and an amazing read!

I'm such a sucker for HEA and I usually don't stray far from stories with them but this book, THIS BOOK left me devastated and I loved every bit of it. I could not get enough of the love story between Hugo and Evan and I just fell into a pit of despair reading this. It is so well written and these characters, these absolute opposites with everything stacked against them, still had such a beautiful bittersweet love and I can't recommend this enough. Truly.

This is hard to put into words how unique this book is and I implore anyone brave enough to read it. An absolute gut wrenching read but I loved it the more I read. Well worth the read!

Got this series recommended, and this one’s the prequel to the main series.
It’s a MM romance with a super tragic ending that left me shook. Seriously, what an emotional rollercoaster! I loved every single minute of it!

I didn’t enjoy it at all. It was boring. Took me a while to finish it as I didn’t want to pick it up and read it! Not that exciting people make it out to be.
