the point is transparency, and i’ve been opaque for too long” is a line from iv that I think perfectly encapsulates this micro-chapbook by Emily Perkovich as a whole.

The poems inside callmeanonymous are raw, honest, and pack a punch!

I love the fact that the poems are all lowercase—I don't remember which English teacher taught me this, but I was taught when the ‘I’ isn't capitalized, it shows that the speaker feels insignificant—and I feel like that definitely fits here; and plays in with the emotional vulnerability the author displays.

These poems are begging to be heard, and I couldn't love them more. My absolute favorite piece is the ending poem—x—I need it engraved on my ribs, thank you!

Crisp language, striking metaphor, and curious connection. An inspiring and emotive read. I especially appreciated "v" and "vii".
