In Christmas K-9 Guardians, we don’t just get one story, we get two! Both stories are part of the Mountain Country K-9 Unit series, but each can be read as a stand-alone.
First we start with Lenora Worth’s Perilous Christmas Pursuit. A dangerous cartel is after a highly trained K-9 specializing in narcotics detection. Local veterinarian Michael Tanner has been keeping him in hiding, but the cartel found him again, right when he’s seeking help from police and Mountain Country K-9 Unit tech analyst Isla Jimenez. Now they are running to protect themselves and Bogi. Is there a chance their hearts might open up to one another, too?
Next, in Katy Lee’s Lethal Holiday Hideout, FBI agent Cara Haines has a target on her back when a ruthless criminal wants to use her to find Cara’s sister, in witness protection the last decade. Now Cara has to team up with her ex, US Marshal Sully Briggs to find and apprehend a man on a sinister mission. Could it be the Lord is using this case to bring them back together…for good?
Both authors kept me riveted to my kindle screen, swiping pages as fast as I could read them! You won’t regret getting your hands on this book, but hold on tight…it’s a wild ride!

Ms. Worth’s book is part of a series. I’ve read a few of hers so I was able to pick up on some characters from those previous stories. I enjoyed it. It was a good read. The second book in this anthology isn’t quite as good. The pacing and events are off. The MFC is not a nice person and I really didn’t like her. I usually really enjoy the author’s work but I’d give this one a pass.
