Rosie Parker never asked to be a tooth fairy. She’s plenty happy with her career as Salem’s favorite pediatric dentist and quite content filling her solitary evenings with a passionate dollhouse hobby.
With the government coming after her for back taxes and a persistent, attractive accountant poking around in her tooth gathering agenda, Rosie's carefully constructed world begins to crumble. And when she's unwittingly drawn into a wicked plot to steal DNA from baby teeth, she realizes that she's in way over her head.
Can Rosie brush aside her fears and misgivings about Fae magic and find her own Happily Ever After with the Tax Man?
This was a really cute and quirky book. I was laughing out loud at how hilarious this was at points. I think my favorite part of this book is how awkward Rosie was because it was done in the most realistic way. This book definitely broke the fourth wall a couple of times in my opinion but not very obviously. It was fun, super cute, and really funny. That’s all you need to know. Oh! And tooth fairies.
Victoria Rocus delivers a delightful twist on urban fantasy in Tooth Decay with a Side of Fae, the first installment of The Tooth Fairy Chronicles. As someone who enjoys stories that weave humor with magical elements, I found this book to be an enchanting escapade filled with quirky charm and unexpected thrills.
Meet Rosie Parker, a dedicated pediatric dentist who unwittingly finds herself at the center of a fantastical conflict. Rosie’s life is wonderfully ordinary—she loves her dental practice and indulges in her dollhouse hobby—until the world of Fae crashes into her reality. The premise of a dentist becoming a reluctant tooth fairy was utterly captivating. I adored Rosie’s fierce independence and her pragmatic approach to the absurd situations she faces, making her a relatable and endearing protagonist.
The dynamic between Rosie and the annoyingly attractive tax accountant adds an extra layer of intrigue and romance to the narrative. Their chemistry is electric, and their banter is both humorous and flirtatious, creating a delightful tension that kept me eagerly turning pages. Watching Rosie navigate her feelings for this enigmatic Tax Man while juggling her Fae duties and the looming threat of a government investigation was a rollercoaster of emotions.
Rocus’s world-building shines, effortlessly blending the mundane with the magical. The concept of stealing DNA from baby teeth to access the hidden Fae Otherworld is both clever and imaginative, propelling the plot into exciting territory. The stakes are high, and as Rosie uncovers the nefarious plot, I found myself completely immersed in the suspense.
What truly sets this story apart is its humor and heart. Rosie’s internal struggles about embracing her Fae identity, along with her determination to clear her name, make her journey relatable. The lighthearted tone, coupled with Rocus’s witty writing style, ensures that even in the midst of chaos, there’s a sense of fun and whimsy that keeps the narrative engaging.
Tooth Decay with a Side of Fae is a perfect blend of fantasy, romance, and humor, with a dash of suspense that leaves readers wanting more. Victoria Rocus has created a charming world where magic and dentistry collide, and I can’t wait to see where Rosie’s adventures take her next! This book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a lighthearted fantasy filled with quirky characters and unexpected twists.

It's tough being a tooth fairy! - Rosie's true destiny was never to be a tooth fairy but that's her lot in life as well as being a beloved dentist for children. Complimentary gigs that shouldn't be dangerous at all. But there's money to be had for those little teeth beyond what the tooth fairy leaves under the pillow. Someone wants the magical DNA that lives in all children to be able to cross into the Otherworld. World domination is planned and the tooth fairies are the key.
Her life in danger for she knows not what, Rosie is dragged into the inner workings of the Fae spy community. Finding her true love in the midst of her now messy life should be a boon, but he's the grumpiest gus she's encountered in a while. Love schmove. Bah! A heart-pounding roller coaster ride with twists and turns aplenty. I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is a great read. A real page turner. A contemporary voice. Very funny.
Dr Rosie Parker is a paediatric dentist and also a tooth fairy. Even though she’s a fairy, she lives in Salem, in the Mundane world, and she needs to get her finances in order for the IRS. The accountant that is hired to help her is the grumpiest and hottest Tax Man she’s ever met, but he is not all he seems.
Rosie doesn’t know as much about the magic of the Otherworld as she should. Tooth fairies are well down in the Fae Hierarchy. Then she finds her life is in danger when someone wants the magical DNA in the children’s teeth that Rosie collects.
Rosie had thought her life was messy enough but now she and her Tax Man get caught up in a world of Fae spies that had previously be unknown to her.
The question is, can Rosie find true love with her Tax Man?
I highly recommend Tooth Decay With A Side of Fae. A 5 Star book!
It is a super clever title, and the book is just as adorable.
Rosie is a very popular pediatric dentist. But at night, she's often busy gathering baby teeth. Yeap, she's a tooth fairy, too.
The IRS is coming at her because she hasn't paid taxes in a few years so she hires "Tax Man." There are also others after her because she has something that could be key to getting into the fae realm, even if they aren't fae.
It's a cute fantasy rom-com... cozy romantasy? I'm not sure what to call it, but I highly recommend it. I already have the next two in the series and the author said the fourth one comes out in April! I'm so excited to read these!!!!
Delightful! This story is witty, cozy, and original. The tooth fairy and Celtic lore mixed in with the main storyline about a relate-ably imperfect heroine and a little bit of spice make for a fun page-turner.
From what I can tell this is the debut novel in a planned series of four. This book, book one in the series, is the humorous, cozy, and original story of the Tooth Fairy. I thought it was very well written and entertaining. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.
This book was super cute and outside of my regular genre. It is about Dr Rosie Parker and Declan Fitzpatrick. Rosie is an amazing pediatric dentist and the tooth fair. She lives in the mundane world in Salem, MA but is a hot mess outside of her jobs. She hasn’t paid her taxes and is in trouble with the IRS. Her best friend and coworker makes the executive decision to hire an accountant for Rosie. Declan shows up. He is a HOT Tax Man but also pretty grumpy. They do not have the smoothest introduction. Little does Rosie know that Declan has ties to the Fae world. Can Rosie find her true love with her Tax Man ? I loved the banter and the tension between these two characters along with some of the others as well! I never thought I would gush and love the tooth fairy at this point in my life but here we are. I can’t wait to read more about Rosie and Declan in Tooth Aches and Wedding Cakes. Has touch her and you die vibes too from Declan.. Gah I just loved it so much! GO READ IT!
A fresh and fun take on the tooth fairy myth, blending humor and seriousness in a way that keeps you hooked from the very first page. The world-building, rich with Celtic influences, draws you in immediately, but it’s the unique storyline that truly shines. Rosie is such a relatable and down-to-earth character. Nothing gets her down for long, and I love the way she handles all the wild twists in her life. Her chemistry with Declan, the hot tax man, is outstanding, adding an extra layer of charm to the story. If you’re looking for a book that’s equal parts magical and entertaining, this is it!
I absolutely loved this book! It's so different from any other fantasy novel I've read, and I very quickly fell in love with the characters! Brilliantly written, witty banter, so much fun! I'm already reading the second in the series!
Adorable romance. First in the series. Tooth fairy and Tax Man. Intrigue and Big Bads to fight. The characters aren’t fleshed out as much as I’d like. Closed door. Very little is even discussed when it comes to spice, but it is made clear that they eventually engage in activities.
This is such a good book. The characters are full of sass and humor. The adventures that goes on in the book, from kidnapping to altitude sickness. Loved this book

This is one dentist (and tooth fairy) you will not mind hanging out with! The detail in this book is off the charts and makes you feel like you are in the book with the characters. There were parts of it that I thought I had figured out, when boom! I was wrong! I’m typically not a romantasy genre reader, but after the first few chapters, I was hooked. This author has a knack for keeping you on the edge of your chair! Can’t wait to read the others. Grab a comfy chair and this book- you’re in for a treat!
I have never read a romantic fantasy book before, or “romantacy” as it’s being called, and I’ve never been too big on fantasies in general, but I was delighted to read this book by newly published author Victoria Rocus. The story is so cute and almost believable! It’s a meet-cute romance with a fantastical twist. It’s a story to lose oneself in: it’s fun, sassy, and a bit naughty! I can’t wait to see what’s next for this otherworldly couple!
The overall story was very cute but I feel like there was parts missing. Like is the tooth stealing people gone? is Rosie still in danger? I feel like that was just skipped over and not tidied up at the end. whether the next book continues this story or is just the next stage of their life. Is Rosie still a tooth fairy? Does she need to return to that line of work etc. just a few details left out.

Such a charming book and so unique! I absolutely fell in love with Dr. Rosie Parker while Declan is now my new favorite book boyfriend! It’s hard not to like these two - they are so darn cute. If you are tired of the same tropes over and over again in fantasy style romances, pick this one up! I’ve already ordered the second book in the series! Cant wait to dig in.
I read a lot of fantasy books and this one really was fun for me. I loved Rosie and how she faces all the prejudices people have about her life; being overweight, being a tooth fairy, being single, etc. And what a swoony tax accountant! Lol! I just ordered the rest of the books in the series. Can’t wait! Arriving on Tuesday!
One recommended to me by my daughter, this was a totally enjoyable original story. I might have enjoyed listening to an audio book to get the proper Irish pronunciations, but I enjoyed reading this. Very cute, not my normal fare, but totally fun!!
Lost me in the first two chapters. I get that FMC is chubby but damn, the HEAVY narrative and repetition of it in the first two chapters killed my interest in this one.
