There was a lot of things that I could live without. I had lived without freedom for the past fifteen years. My wife was someone that I couldn’t live without, and I needed her. Alaia saved a lot of people with just a touch of her hand on my arm. She calmed the beast within me, reminded me what I had at home. Alaia was someone that I refused to live without and now they took her from me. They touched my wife and thought they would be able to live to talk about it. You didn’t touch a Delgato and thought you would live. You didn’t touch what was mine and think you could live. Joy already knew how her Roy was coming behind her – always.
“If sh*t goes left…” Capone looked me in the eyes. “Then we gonna bring that sh*t f*cking right.”
You see how these brothers loved their women?! Very mindful, very unhinged, very obsessed. They didn’t allow harm to come to their women. They didn’t allow these women to be touched without consequences. You see how they put faces on grill and heads in lobster tanks. Very fkd around and found out! 😆
No Fr let me stop! I will say that while this is the lowest rated book for me in the series, I’m still absolutely obsessed with Big Capp aka Cappy aka Roy aka pop pop! The love was loud and proud like my blackness and I am so happy these two brothers were recommended to me! I’m glad to see that Alaia got the closure and HEA she deserved and that everyone got what they deserved!
With that being said this final book was a hot 🍑 mess! There was way too much focus on Capri and her relationship(s) and this took away from Capp and Alaia. I understand that the author may have been setting the tone for her book but allow her story to speak for itself when the time comes. We got small glimpses of Capp in Capo’s series and that added to the suspense and built anticipation to read. We’re so exhausted with Capri at this point that it’s a coin toss on whether to read about her or not.
Nahiem and Nellie’s storyline was absolutely pointless Blair and Quasim’s storyline was absolutely unnecessary Certain POVs were not needed! How did Aimee go from literally being dumb as a box of rocks to a computer hacker Did we really need the funeral?! 🗣️NO!! The shootouts became a bit redundant and repetitive after a while. The first few were exciting but after 20 it took the thrill away for me. Capri’s relationship with her mother was inconsistent (maybe this will be addressed in her book) Did we really need the Detective Morgan storyline? Maybe not….🤷🏽♀️ I also wanted more when Raheem was handled. It all happened so fast then book was on to the next adventure.
Outside of how Cappadonna’s series ended I really really really did enjoy everything about the series and can’t wait to see what becomes of Capri and Quameer as well as Jaiden!
2.5 ⭐️ Ehh … could have put earlier chapters in book 3. This felt like fillers and just building on Capri story but I wanted to focus solely on the main characters.
So book 3.5 was exactly that for me, 3.5 stars. This was like a tire with a slow leak, it eventually went flat. There was too much going on, too many POV’s introduced when the story was supposed to be Capp and Alisia’s story.
A few highlights and quotes that I loved.
*Naheim finally heading on out, it was long overdue. *Baby Capp fixing wigs. *Kincaid moving on, good riddance.
“Shit goes left…” “We bringing that shit all the way right.”
“Joy, remember what I told you, Mama… when it comes to your man…” “Dead nigga say what?”
This book came all gas and no brakes! We expected nothing less with the way book 3 ended, as we all knew Cappadonna was coming with all the smoke. The closeness of this family dynamic never ceases to amaze me, as I didn’t think they could get any closer. Yet their bonds continue to grow as these characters evolve. I am truly looking forward to diving into Capri’s story!
Uhhh idk I was bored🥱 this could have just been in the third book. I don’t know why we had to wait for a 3.5. Hopefully capri’s book isn’t dragged out like this.
I am so glad this series is finally over. First I want to say I loved the Capone series but Cappadonna was eh. Him and Alaia’s relationship did not seem authentic to me. I just couldn’t get into the head over heels obsessed fairy tale. Maybe it was because they moved super fast. One minute he’s picking her up from doing laundry, the next he’s signing her baby’s birth certificate and getting married. Speaking of the baby everything was, OUR baby this, HIS daughter that, Promise’s dad blah blah blah. We get it, Capp stepped up to be a father but it was a little over excessive in my opinion. And Alaia turning into this hardcore killer over night is crazy. And I am soooo over the highway shootouts I mean at this point any time a Delgato leaves the house they’re having a war on the highway smh. Last but not least Capri…I believe that what Naheim did was so wrong but we gonna sit here and act like Capri cheating with his homeboy is not just as bad? Everyone tried to make Capri seem so innocent and blaming Naheim for everything basically because he cheated first so it gave Capri the okay to not only cheat but start a relationship with his friend. So crazy. And now she’s about to get with Qua. Like her brothers said, she’s home hopping. I’m wondering how Jahquel is gonna justify that relationship but I won’t find out because I am NOT reading Capri or any other Delgato stories. This was enough for me.
This series could’ve ended around 2. The last 2-3 books definitely felt like attempts to drag the story out. I would have liked for it to truly be about Cappadonna and Alaia without random other POVs thrown in. It was less about Cappadonna and Alaia and more like everybody got their POVs and it was just chaotic for me. I also felt like the submissive Muslim wife was over played and very redundant. Overall I think the series started off with a bang and quickly fizzled out.
I don't know how many people gave this series a chance/started this series based on my updates.. but all I can say is that you will not be disappointed.
This series was nonstop—shootouts, bullets flying, just straight chaos! But the unconditional family love kept me locked in. And let’s talk about Cappadonna—he loved Alaia and I was here for it.
That said, I’m ready for Capri’s story now. I need sis to get her happiness too! Overall, Cappadonna was cool… but I’m still team Capone all day. 🤷🏽♀️🤭
One of the main things I really don’t like about these books is how many different POVs there are. It’s so unnecessary to me. The series is called Cappadonna. Why am I getting POVs from Kincaid, Jasmine, Kendra, Ace, Raheem, Capri, Taz, Blair, and literally everybody else in-between? Hell, if I was a character in this book, I feel like I would probably /also/ have a POV.
I cannot stress enough how much I don’t care about all these other people’s drama. I really, really don’t. It almost feels like a chore to get through all these other people’s POVs just so I can finally get to read the two main characters’.
A book doesn’t ever need to have this many perspectives, especially when they often have nothing to do with the central point of the story, because it completely takes away from who the book is even about in the first place. To me, it’s almost lazy. I get that the idea is to stir up interest for Capri’s story as well as Capella’s. And for some people, that may ring true. For me, it doesn’t. What it /does/ do is make me lose interest, it irritates me, and it makes me feel as though I’m almost forcing myself to keep reading. It just feels like an excuse to stretch out the drama enough to justify another book. But if we’re really being serious, these 5 books could’ve really been 2 and a novella.
Omg y’all, my heart is so HAPPY after finishing Cappadonna’s last book! 🥹❤️
The love story between Cappadonna & Aleia had me on a rollercoaster, I was laughing, crying, cheesing so hard, and fully in my feelings the whole time.
One of the funniest moments? When Cappadonna pulled up to save Aleia, they were being chased after she was kidnapped and he slid up next to his sister car Capri . He screamed out “Every thug needs a lady!” 😂😂 I was hollering!!
And Cappadonna himself whew 😮💨. Tough on the outside, soft on the inside the perfect mix. Patient,
gentle, and the way he accepted another man’s baby and claimed that child as his own Just BEAUTIFUL. This book had it all love, loyalty, laughs, and those heart melting moments. 10/10, Cappadonna did his thing with this one!
And let’s talk about Alaia real quick 👏. She started out so broken, with no hope and no future, but by the end? Whew, sis turned into a fearless BAD BITCH. The growth, the glow up and the strength
I was rooting for her the whole way all And it was all thanks to a husband who spoke life into her giving her confidence, showing her unconditional love and treating her with real respect. That’s the kind of love that changes everything.
Cappadonna‼️ If I had to choose, I’m going with Cappy! He definitely revealed my love for unhinged individuals! 😮💨 His presence, the way he loves, the way he go hard for his family.. 🫠 Loved everything about him.. psychopath and all! 😎♥️
While I enjoyed this book I felt this could’ve finished after 30%. I do like the new plotline to keep the story going, I’m excited for Capri! Capri won me over standing on business finally. I hope Nahiem stays clear from Capri and I wish Kincaid and Jasmine well. Jasmine was getting a bit beyond herself at one point and started to become unlikable 😭🥴. Again for me, the Capp and Alaia story was wrapped up 30% and this is the prequel for Capri! Capri’s bestie situation had me skeptical at first but I’m so glad she had someone who was for her. The growth of all these characters was fun to read and I can’t believe we are at Capp’s close. I’m excited for Capri and can’t wait for her story next! Jahquel wrote the heck out of these books. With any book in this series please check the content/trigger warnings at the beginning of the book. Lastly, I gave this book a 4⭐️ because it was a lot of filler and more lead way for Capri’s book, and some connecting factors from previous books were missing. I believe Raheem was wheelchair-bound but was walking in this book. Small but something that made me go hmm. Nonetheless, the story was great and I would recommend it!
This series has been almost flawless. Now, this book confused me a lot… the editing could have been better or there were too many time skips which made it feel like there were plot holes. One second Capp was holding onto the gender for Capone and Erin and a few chapters later she says the gender but there was no gender reveal scene. A lot of names got mixed up and sometimes it’s hard to tell who’s talking except for Capp’s crazy ass. I always know when it’s his dialogue cause he says anything. I’m also glad we addressed Capri’s feelings about Ella and Tasha cause I been saying that I thought it was crazy that she fell out with them but Ella was fw Capone and Tasha was breaking bread? That’s crazy for a family that claims loyalty is so important. But I’m glad that Capri’s journey is starting with her de-centering men cause that’s all I was trying to say is that she needs to chill. But I can’t wait to see what Meer is giving cause he sounds like my type LOL
5 🌟 BRAVO!!! No notes! I love me some Delgato twins, but Big Daddy Capp is definitely my favorite and his love story with Alaia was absolutely phenomenal!!! This finale was everything I could have asked for and there are no loose ends or plot holes left unresolved or unanswered; what more could I ask for!?!
Alaia and Capp beautifully complimented and completed one another, and I love how Cappadonna had no problem crashing out behind his wife! THAT'S A BLACK KING THERE. And it was good to see how life continued to unfold for most of the characters introduced in Capone's books.
And although Capri has gotten under my skin more than once throughout both her brothers' series, I am actually looking forward to getting into her books this upcoming year, especially to see how things play out between her and Quameer because I am heavily invested in that man's backstory as well.
Highly recommend anything Jahquel J. writes at this point tbh, but you definitely can't go wrong with either of the Delgato twins! 😜
Okay before I get too far into Capri, I have to review the Cappadonna series as a whole here cause I'm falling off real bad with my reviews omg.
I LOVED Cappadonna yall omg. Like was he a lil cringy, yes, but i think it works for his character and just really gives big brother energy lol. I loved how he treated Alaia, and him and Capri's relationship warmed my heart truly.
The only thing i have to say is that the moment this man heard that last buzzer to his cell door opening when he got out to the end of his series- he did not know ANY peace. Like omg every page him, Alaia, Chubbs- someone was fighting for their lives truly. But it kept me hooked so I am not mad about it whatsoever. I hope in the next books he gets some peace and is able to relax somehow, although the end with him getting the tattoo something tells me this man is about to keep going and become an even bigger menace. Love that for him lol.
Overall my cousin and I are loving this series and buddy reading it was truly the best choice omg. Just know our voice notes in our messages are THEEEE funniest things ever.
I have loved every part of this series from start to finish. Capp played not a single game when it came to Alia and honestly I loved that for her. This whole family is a bunch of riders and you can’t help but fall in love with them. I can’t wait for Capri’s story!
We’ve finally reached the end of the series and overall, it was a great ride. That said, I do wish book 3.5 focused more on Cappadonna, especially since it was supposed to be his final book. It felt like the spotlight was more on Capri, which left me a little disappointed.
That scene with Ronnie, though? Epic. She definitely didn’t see that one coming, lol. Also, I lowkey want a spin-off about Capella and Aimee. They both had such rough upbringings, and I’d love to see how their stories unfold and where life takes them.
4.5⭐️ awwwww i enjoyed Capp's story 😭 I think ive stated this in the past book reviews but ima state it again HE'S MY FAVORITE TWIN lol. A maniac when need be, but for his family he was a soft teddy bear 🥰

A lovely ending I did enjoy the series however I’ll say that there needs to be more research done on religion. Secondly, the multiple pov in these books were so unnecessary. This is supposed to be Capp and Alia’s story and it was only crumbs of them I kept seeing with zero character development. Would have loved to see more of them than the others but oh well.
I am not a series girlie, but I must admit that this one had me in a chokehold! I was literally hooked! I loved Capp’s and Alaina’s story. He made promises and stood on them. This book was more preparation for the next episode and I can’t wait to dive in!
