If you’re looking for a goromance, see what I did there…gore and romance though I may be more inclined to go with blood and spice because this story has both in bucket loads 🤭

The MMCs meet at a foster home, they part company abruptly though Colt tells her he will come back for her. A couple of years pass with no sign of him, Nova in the meantime has earned her own independence. Until a stranger starts to frequent the bar where she works, the townsfolk know him as the Devil. Nova is drawn to his darkness, he saves her from being attacked which just draws her to him more.

Little does she know of his exploits and why he has that particular nickname. She soon finds out, rather than being put off, she accepts his darkness and merges it with her own, to the point they are a force to be reckoned with.

There are a lot of spicy scenes, definitely deleting, bl00d and g0re. I loved Novas’ involvement and the trust they had 💋The whole story comes together really well.

Anyone know the number to a raccoon breeder? I want one! Bandit was seriously main character energy & I am so here for it.
Colt & Nova are top tier couple goals. A beautiful love for two trauma filled souls. Loved watching them defeat their enemies and create a life together, only wanting to be together in all things. It was spicy, serious, funny, and a really good read.

I tried to take my time with it but I finished in one day because I could not put it down.

Nova is Damaged, Rotten, Broken. This is what she feels describes her.
He is Dangerous, Dark, the Devil.

Nova hasn't felt anything for anyone since Colt left that night.
He promised he would come back for her, but she hasn't seen him in almost 2 years.
Then one day a mysterious figure sits at a far table in the bar she works at.
She starts to feel things that she hasn't felt since Colt.... but he said he would be back.
Those piercing blue eyes feel familiar.


I didn't think I could love another bas as female main character as much as I liked Rage.
Let me tell you. Nova is right up there with her. Nova will do whatever she can to protect the one she loves. Even if he is the Devil.

Well, she’s done it again! I loved this book!
The backstory on these two characters was heartbreaking. But the fact that they found each other amidst all the uncertainty, and that they had each other, made me so happy
Nova was such a bad ass FMC. I absolutely loved her!!

Nova and Colt were both dealt a rough hand growing up but manage to find solace in each other in an unlikely place. After some years apart they reconnect and holy cow is it magnetic! Both so dark and disturbed by their pasts but so amazing together. They manage to bring out both the best and worst in each other and it makes for the perfect dark romance.

J. S. Cannon has easily become one of my favorite authors. She writes the most heart gripping feminine rage, passionate couples vengeance, soul consuming men and savage bad a$$ women and emotionally cathartic satisfying stories.
Devil is another outstanding read. The way our characters meet and the way their relationship evolves is heart gripping and soul consuming. Nova has been through a horrendous childhood. She is damaged and broken. When given the opportunity she clings to someone she finally feels can be a friend in a foster home. Bound by trauma Colton and Nova create a world they can tolerate living in. Colton has been through his own traumatic events and has been silent most of his life. His inner strength emerges to rescue Nova only for them to be torn apart.

“His lips pressed against mine and the world tipped on its axis. The warmth and softness of his mouth shattered my soul and knowing he was about to leave, the tears I’d kept at bay finally fell.

Can a one sentence summary make you read a book? In this case my answer was YES!

"I love this woman with every fiber of my being, and seeing her happy is the only f***ing reason there's a raccoon eating peanut butter in our spare bedroom"

After reading that how could you not want to find out more?!?!
I don't typically like to compare books or characters to others because they deserve the opportunity to demonstrate their own unique qualities and stories. But if you love Zane and Addie's story you will likely LOVE Colt and Nova's story. These two grew up in loveless childhood homes full of trauma and abuse, followed by foster homes with the same outcome. The only lifeline they had was each other until even that was ripped away from them. This story follows both Colt and Nova through all of their ups and downs and their constant battle to get back to each other and hold on to the only security either of them has ever known. No matter what life throws at these two they prove that love will conquer all!

This is for my smut Lover followers. It's dark and so depraved, it will get you all hot and bothered.
This is Dark Romance so please check triggers. The things these two went through early on is very hard to read.
Absolutely loved Colt and Ava.
Both are strong characters and equal to each other. To rise up and move on takes a lot strength.
When Ava was finally moved to a foster home, it was just as bad but she met Colt and he was her calm and saviour.
But then he had to leave and she was broken all over again.
Nearly 2 years later she meets the devil and he brings up memories.
They were obsessed with each other, their love is unconventional and unconditional. It's just them and it suits them. They crave the things they do is because they're survivors.
The spice was whooo 🥵.
There was some suspense as they may be under threat, secrets, drama, action, lots of unaliving and crazy love.
I loved that he was The Devil but she was his Little Demon.
My only issue was, I wish he was a bit older so it would match how he is in the business world etc. But I do understand he had to grow up very early on in life that made him mature and smart at young age.

I loved it. It was so interesting and I love the MMC and how obsessed and possessive he is for FMC. It' dark towards the end and I loved it. I loved how the FMC turned unhinged as well.

I do not know why I read this book or what made it compelling enough that I finished it, but Devil is an interesting read to say the least.

Nova Bradley and Colt Everly met as teenagers in a foster home where they were both living. After attacking the abusive foster parents, Colt must run away, but he promises Nova he’ll always be around. A few years later, Nova and Colt reconnect, but he’s now known by a different name - Devil.

This book reminds me of the movie Natural Born Killers. Colt and Nova alternate between having hot s•x and going on killing sprees. Their victims might be deserving of their fate, but the two killers don’t seem at all remorseful for their actions. My favorite part of the book is when Colt gets Nova her dream pet, a raccoon, because that’s also my dream pet. Bandit is an adorable part of this book. Nova and Colt are certainly devoted to one another, and I love that Colt recognizes Nova’s desire to be independent. They are a couple with dynamic chemistry. Definitely check your trigger warnings - there’s a lot of darkness in this book.

I recommend Devil if you like sexy, dark romance. Read it and let me know what you think - I’d love to discuss.

I never read the synopsis and I went into this not knowing a damn thing about it. J.S Cannon has yet to do me wrong and I knew this book would be fantastic. Not going to lie this book is gory, it had me feeling sick to my stomach a few times. READ THE TW’s!!!!Nova had a rough life and bad things happened that landed her in the foster care system. The home she gets put in is rough but there she meets Colt Everly. Colt is a man of very few words. None actually because he doesn’t speak. Colt has also had a rough life. Nova and Colt have this connection that the foster parents start questioning and well things escalate from there. This story is dark & gory but it also had a hold of my heart and wouldn’t let it go. Colt Everly is everything! It’s no secret that I love a man who would literally 🔪 for me and Colt checks off ALL my boxes. Murder aside, I was swooning so hard 😮‍💨 The storyline, the steamy scenes, the chemistry… YES YES YES 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

J S is my go to author whenever I need something quick, spicy and exciting to read. This book was the same for me (not the plot just the vibes ✨). Colt and Nova, Devil and Demon, the psycho, crazy and obsessive couple. Their hearts were broken by the same kind of people but different situations and at some by the same people. Where Nova suppressed and learnt to live with it, Colt became the feared Devil. Their broken hearts completed each other, a smaller part filled by Bandit. They both were a couple made on earth. Although, I'm getting lazy nowadays and ARCs have been getting difficult for me to read, this book was quite easy and quick read (as quick as it can be with all the obstacles). Bandit, the celery hitter and peanut butter eater 🦝 is a cutie patootie. If I could I would adopt someone like him😫. Overall, this book was pretty enticing and I would FORCE you all to read this.😁😁

Nova learns early what it means to be alone and on her own. The moment her father passes away, her nightmare begins.
But as soon as she meets the Devil, her whole world changes.
The relationship between Nova and the Devil is hot, spicy, and on equal footing. Both main characters have a darkness inside them that perfectly complements each other.
I loved watching them create a life together and get rid of the remnants of their past.
The book is thrilling and relatively short, but it didn’t feel like any plotlines were treated too briefly.
Following Nova and the Devil’s story was entertaining and extremely spicy. There are a lot of spicy and gory scenes.

Unbelievable and heartwarming in a psychotic perfect way!

This is a great read! Yes Devil is a complicated man and his little Demon woman Nova is as complex as he is. They have a history but she longs for him back in her life. However he never left her life and early on this is revealed. I wouldn't ruin the book for y'all but I can say this. J.S. Cannon shows us through this couple how, because of painful and traumatic pasts, can allow a very dark side to grow. In this case Colt had embraced this but Nova embraced hers when they unite again. It's a page turner and moves quickly. It's also got a heat level that is off the charts. What I really loved is that this couple were obsessed with each other and everyone else really didn't matter. It's a love between them that made me really find this book heartwarming. The racoon was adorable! Read it and you'll agree! I recommend this highly! Of course it's well written considering this Author never lets us down.

Be sure to check your trigger warnings, although this is a spicey dark romance, there is no fluffy love story - this is as DARK as it comes, it’s violently detailed and gory but I promise you, if you start it you will EAT.IT.UP!!

I feel like there is a little bit of everything in this book. I really enjoyed the relationship between MC’s, he is really sweet just for her, yummy🫦 and she is just as unhinged for him, I love it.

I liked that their love started when they young and continued while they are adults. The plot is easy to follow and intriguing.

The way this book pulled me in from the very first page, forcing myself to saver the story was a big ask but I knew if I demolished it straight away I'd regret it. The MMC only has eyes for the FMC and will go fully unhinged and feral for her. They are twin flames forged in Hell and nothing can get between them. They don't go easy on those that try either. Devil ticks all the dark romance boxes in an effortless manner. The story unfolding naturally.
