Jon Breakfield was born in Virginia. He graduated from UCLA's prestigious Film School. Despite having survived the odd hurricane, he and his wife still love Key West and divide their time between Florida and Glasgow, Scotland. Jon is a former T.V. writer, the author of ten Non-Fiction books and two Crime Thrillers.
If he weren't a writer his only other career choice would have been that of international beer tester where he could continue with his travels whilst endeavouring to stay out of trouble in another language.

Great Read. Awesome Southernmost Place

I’ve been to Key West many times but this book gives you a different perspective. Very enjoyable. I would highly recommend it.

Chatty, fun, lighte hearted look at a fun place I've always wanted to visit. His notes gave me some fun folks to seek out and find when I was in key west.

I am so disappointed in this book. It doesn't happen very often, but I am struggling to finish, and might not bother. Every few pages seems to wander off into pages of discourse that are only related to the story in some faint, disjointed manner. Mosquito-born disease and the deplorable conditions of an Illinois prison. I was certain we were heading towards a soapbox for prison reform. I s
