Lucky and Liora’s life has never been easy. But up until now at least they had a home…at least they had him. But all that is gone and it’s time to start over in a new place. A place with new friends, and new enemies, and new dangers. Only now, it’s coming from both sides. Angels and demons want them dead. Because only Lucky and Liora hold the key that can tip the balance of power, and undo everything… Unless one of them makes the ultimate sacrifice.
Wow! Oh my God! I loved this book! As the author herself said... a lot of crazy shit goes down! Wow! I'm actually speechless at the moment. And I don't know what to write without give away too much and spoil your fun. Because, really, there are so many things happening and most of them will surprise you and leave your mouth hanging open, wide-eyed, and you'll be thinking a lot of "What the f***?!?!" and "Oh my God!" and "You're freaking kidding me?!" and "How that can be possible?" and "Awwww! Cute!" and "Oh wow!" and "Holy hell!" and "Hell, yes! Yes! Yes!" and "No no no no no!!!" You'll smile, you'll swear and curse, you'll be confused, sad, angry, helpless and hopless, you'll feel loved and protected, and so much more! This book was AMAZING! And I couldn't stop reading! I needed to get to the end of the story to see what would happen to them all. To know who were the enemies and who the allies. To know who Vincent was and if he was trust worthy (I admit, I doubted him a little there. He acted weird some times and had a few secrets he wouldn't share). Same as before, I didn't like Kieron much. Bones has always been my favorite. Love him to pieces. But can't tell you more. You'll have to read the book to find out what's all this crazy shit going down! You MUST! Oh, and by the way... I LOVE YOU, PENELOPE KING! Seriously!

SUMMARY (50 words or less) It’s always hard to say goodbye to a series you love. This series isn’t any different. I had a tough time with how things ended in the last book and wasn’t terribly excited to read this installment because of that. But that goes to show I should have more trust in the author.

Just so we’re clear, I wanted to give this book 4 Stars but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. As much as I love this series, I couldn’t consciously give this book any more than 3 Very Low Stars. I’m not sure where this book went wrong for me. I am a huge fan of the series. I loved Lucky and Liora and Kiernon were adorable, though not my first choice in power couples and the general story line was pretty awesome… so what went wrong??? Vincent went wrong. His sudden appearance in the story and both Liora and Lucky’s instant attraction to him really annoyed me. I mean, here we have a naïve human girl and a season demon… who can’t seem to control their fucking hormones. First it’s Kiernon, then it’s Bones, then it’s Tristan (in a sense) and then here comes Vincent out of nowhere, might I add to swoop in all hot and sexy sending these two girls into hormonal fits. It was ridiculous.
Though I must say Liora was so much more badass than Lucky this time around. Normally I was rooting for Lucky… but whoo little Liora kicked some serious ass in this book. The way she totally handed those Belith demons their asses was awesome! And the ending confrontation with Amazea demons was AMAZING!!! I was seriously on the edge of my seat… That ending though…. I hated it! I didn’t know what to make of it, other then to say it was extremely cheesy and overdone.. I just couldn’t deal….
This book had seriously potential. It just fell a little short and got a little too cheesy there at the end. 3 Low Stars ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
We had to wait a long time for this book, but it was well worth the wait! First off, let it be known that I do not give out five stars lightly. So, that must mean this book rocks! Second off, let it also be known that in most of my reviews, I won't give a lot of details from the book because I feel that it could ruin it for other readers. With that said:
I really enjoyed this book. You not only start off right where the last book ended, Fire with Fire, but Penelope also goes back over the last couple of paragraphs at the end of the last book. This really helped remind me of where we were in the story. There were a couple of surprises in this one, along with quite a bit of action, some humor, heartache, some parts that were nail biting, and of course love interests. I will state that there was a couple of areas in this book that had me cringing. (There was a particular area in this book that had me cringing. I definitely don't think that that part was for anyone under the age of 16. But it wasn't written crudely. And was quite fitting within the scenario.) There was never a dull moment in this book. You obviously have the same characters that were in the last book, but you also get to meet quite a few new characters. Some of these new characters will really surprise you.
Even though Penelope did take a while to get this book finished, and released, she did a really good job in keeping our attention from start to finish with nail biting excitement, and a story line that was definitely not lacking.
I can't wait to see where she takes us next. As a matter of fact, a couple of things that were written in this book, has encouraged me to read her spellbound series. (I've had the first book in the spellbound series, Witchy Witchy, for quite sometime now. Looks like I'll be reading it soon.)
I guess it's obvious that I do recommend this book. However, I do recommend that you read the first two books in this series first.
I loved most of the things that happened in the book. Especially the part where Liora totally kicks ass. And when Lucky and Liora merged together. And Corrine being such a champ about everything (which I found a bit unrealistic...but whatever....it was cool). The first reason this only gets 3 stars is because Liora/Lucky don't end up with Kieron. I mean come on! I thought that Bones was just the Gale type of guy...you know the one who the girl likes at first but completely ditches later. Kieron was built up so much in the first book. He was the one who liked both Liora and Lucky. I feel like the author was planning for her/them to end up with him but then for some inexplicable reason decided to change that while writing the second book. I also find it unrealistic that after obsessing over Kieron for the better part of the first and second book that she Liora would be totally fine with Bones just because he is not an incubus anymore...or whatever the reason was. Can you tell I'm not happy with Bones and Liora/lucky ending up together? I still hope they end up together in the next book...somehow.... The other reason is because the ending was horribly cheesy. It felt like the author just wanted to tie up all the loose ends. I mean seriously? I can take this kind of awful fluff from fanfiction and Disney movies only. But other than those two things the book(s) where really good with a original and unique plotline. The writing could have been better but I wouldn't be able to do better if I tried so I'm not complaining too much.

One word: BONES!!!😍😍😍 The story line was very good and not one dull moment!😁 Although the series was pretty short for me I can say King was able to deliver a great story and I never felt that she's lacking in any way. Especially with the ending! A must read for all you YA lovers.
I started this series when the second one came out, read them quickly only to be disappointed I had to wait for the third and final book. With life getting in the way I had honestly forgotten about the third book but I recently re discovered the series when looking for something new to read. I downloaded the first to again to refresh my memory before reading the third book. Even though I read the first two once before I still couldn't put them down and managed to read them all in three days. I was delighted at where the series went and couldn't be happier at how the ending took place. Even with the few things that bothered me I still give this series as a whole five stars. The over use of the word suddenly was one of the things that caught my attention. It might just be a pet peeve of mine but I hate that word. Suddenly the world changed. Suddenly he appeared. Suddenly I realized I loved him. These aren't examples from the book but still. I feel like there could have been a better way to describe the events unfolding in front of Liora and Lucky. Despite that I can definitely see myself far-reaching this series.
I really loved this series!I finished it in a week! SPOILERS so don't read if you haven't finished yet.
Some things are bothering me. I'm happy she ended up with bones but I'm confused about Kerion. She didn't really explain why she found both of them though all her lives. My theory was Kieron was Liora's soul mate and bones was Lucky's. But then at the end she had Kieron talk to Lucky not Liora? I really thought he should of said his peace to her. Then Kieron just leaves? In the end I was happy with her choice because they finally became one soul. But I think she should of wrote or still write a spin off series about Kerion. I feel like his story isn't done yet. Just throwing he's engaged to that girl now doesn't sit right with me. I know she writing another book & I can't wait.
Fantastic ending to a great series. I fell in love with these characters as I too felt their pain, their tears and joy during this truly incredible journey.
The wait for this book was long but well worth it! I would highly recommend reading these books in their order. There is no other way to truly appreciate the twist and turns as the story unfolds. It may seem like a dark tale but there is beauty everywhere, and even a demon or two can fall in love.
Put down those angel books and take a walk on the dark side....
As soon as I started this book, I couldn't put it down. Most of the loss ends are tied up in book three of this series. I love how Penelope King includes older characters so we know how they ended up (especially Kieron!) The Vincent/Bones twist was amazing! I was expecting something of the sort to happen, but I was also shocked when it did. The only thing I am disappointed about, is that at the end of the book, the author mentions a fourth book in the series to be available in 2014. That book is still not out.
I give this book 4/5 stars because the twists in this book were really good (even if I guessed the biggest one in it). I feel like the ending was a little too perfect/things needed to be further wrapped up. I'm kinda annoyed with some things that happen between the characters, but it ended up working out for the best. I love Bones in this series, and Kieron. And I really do like the idea behind this book. Overall, it was a really great but, but it just had a few hiccups here and there.
This was crazy as a joyride to read. I totally loved being on the edge of my seat and felt like the momentum was even fiercer in this book. Loire/Lucky being pregnant leads her down many paths. Vincent holds a secret and their attraction is through the roof! Great way to end the trilogy! Can't wait to start reading her other books. Great Job!
Really enjoyed this series! Very different from other stories I have read. Great character backgrounds. A picture is painted on every page. Beautiful descriptions, even the not so pleasant ones. This was a great find for me and I was happy to be lost in this world for awhile!
Twists and turns- suspense , heartbreak love and happiness . I enjoyed how this series and how the spellbound trilogy have intertwined giving the characters and settings more depth if you have read both - but doesn't limit your reading enjoyment if you haven't! Worth reading !
I thought it was a nice way to tie things together, but really didn't enjoy the emo kid act from Lucky/Liora during some of the more tense moments. Great finish and thanks for that epilogue!
