Tau Cetus police agent Leith Wyatt is tasked by the ruling High Council with overseeing the production of a robot army for the planet’s defense. Wyatt doesn’t trust the oily robot manufacturer Anson Carron, and when Carron gives Wyatt the Beautiful Doll sexbot Ginger as a gift, Wyatt knows it’s a trap -- Beautiful Dolls are legendary for their addictive sexual prowess. Wyatt tries to resist the Doll, but Ginger is sweet, kind, sexy, and every intimate encounter they share manages to put him deeper under her spell. And when Wyatt discovers Carron’s plan to overthrow the High Council in order to grab control of the planet for himself, Wyatt must decide whether his loyalty lies with the planet he’s sworn to protect, or the megalomaniac creator of the android he now loves.
Jenna Ives lives in Southern California, and has the typical problem that affects a lot of modern authors — multiple personality disorder. She writes for several publishers under a variety of names, but mostly the reason is to keep her poor sainted mother (who used to read Barbara Cartland and Georgette Heyer) from having a heart attack over how sexy modern romances have become!
These books are welcome distraction and they Glance forward in time it what we will most likely be doing 20 or so years from now There are already Bluetooth toys and many other abundant toys for both men and women that do all sorts of interesting and fun things all they need now is to make legs for our computers😍
I loved the first book, Programmed to Please, but wondered whether book two, Programmed to Protect, could be as good—but it was. There was something so charming, and vulnerable about Ginger, and Wyatt is the ultimate “good guy” hero. I loved the entire concept for this story. I am intrigued by Theus and hope author Jenna Ives writes his story. An excellent, well-written sci-fi romance read!
