Please note this book was previously published as Blood Ties.
The dead man lies sprawled on the sidewalk, blood pooling around him. Just another shocking act of violence in downtown Lafayette.
But this was no random shooting. The victim’s wallet lies untouched. The cops are convinced that wealthy accountant Peter Galloway was deliberately targeted.
And he’d just left a meeting with Billy Dupre. . . Remy Fontaine’s brother-in-law.
Convinced that Billy is caught up in something very nasty, fugitive hunter Remy must use her unique skill-set to track down the killer and keep her family safe.
But Remy is still recovering from catastrophic injuries she sustained in her last case. Is she strong enough to tackle the most ruthless enemy she’s ever encountered?
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "BLOOD TIES" This was an amazing on the edge of your seat story that hooks you right away I love this Remy Fontaine Thriller Series with great characters that pull you right into each story & this another intense thriller you can't put down. Remy Fontaine recovering from her tragic horrific incident that happened 6mos. ago she gets called back to her hometown Lafayette when a man is gunned down outside her brother in law Billy's firm he's an Accident Injury Lawyer who somehow becomes a target for a Crime Family. Remy gets the help of Deputy US Marshall Cole Grayson & Agent Alex Chase putting herself & them in danger possibly changing her life in the future. I definitely recommend to get this well written action packed intense riviting story, will Remy, Alex & Cole be able to keep her family safe, Cole is being watched because of a corrupt guard at the prison & worried he might lose his badge but helps Remy keep her family safe from Crime Syndicate anyway. The ending to this amazing thriller leaves you thinking there's more Remy Fontaine to come in the future that would be great. AWESOME MUST READ THRILLER 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
A great ending, but what is next for Remy? Remy Fontaine LBI Agent for (FAU) Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and has come out of her therapy after six months following her being shot and left parallelised from the waist down and although her body has nearly she is still having vivid flashbacks. Determined to return back to duty she returns albeit too soon to supposedly light duty until her sister and brother Billy in law family a Accident Injury lawyer accidentally become targets of a crime family where she needs all the assistance of deputy US marshal Cole Grayson to keep her family safe but puts Remy in a difficult position that could alter her life forever. Remy is also recovering on crutches and goes against doctors orders and pleas ignores everyone and stubbornly takes on the case putting herself in danger with fellow agent Alex Chasse, Deputy Marshall Cole Grayson. There is also some romance and a great ending with lots of questions on Remy’s future? I thought some parts were a bit unbelievable otherwise I would have awarded five stars.
4.5 stars Robin Mahle has done it again with the Remy Fontaine series. She continuously improves with her writing of this series. River Ranch was very well done and i really enjoyed seeing Remy work through both her physical and emotional hurdles throughout this book. Learning to walk again, finding out her limitations (the Remy Fontaine way of course) and going through the emotional baggage of her past and how to deal going forward with her relationships with people like Grayson, Alex and Claire. I loved seeing more of Claire and her family and how far Remy is willing to go to keep them safe even when she herself is struggling. There was definitely some things i didn’t see coming like one of the last scenes with Billy still makes me gasp in shock. What a bloody great read and i hope we see more of Remy and this series!

Remy Fontaine has resumed her job as agent with the LBI, after enduring the mental and physical fallout from the previous book. She soon finds herself embroiled in a new case that unfortunately includes a family member. The story is thoroughly engaging with drama, intensity, complications and mayhem. I enjoyed every twist and turn that propelled this book.
As I followed the career of Remy Fontaine the thought came that she was a cop that took chances. Sometimes stupid chances to get what was in the long run revenge behavior. Get the guy at any cost, by any means. But this series made for interesting reading. Maybe readers can look forward to her return?
Remy is back to work. It has been a long hard battle but she's made it. That same day a man was murdered outside her brother in law's office. Billy Dupre nor Remy had any idea how that murder would cause such havoc for their family or the danger with it. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Remy Fontaine has had a lot of setbacks in her life, but she keeps pushing forward. And with this latest chapter, she might be on a path to her happily ever after, although she never would have thought it was in the cards she'd been dealt.
Now that my heart has stopped racing I can try to compose a review. My goodness, what another adrenaline rush this was. So much intense action that you were never sure which way things would turn out. No spoilers from me but Remy , once again has her hands full. Just when you think you have a handle on things , Robin twists the story ( in a good way of course) to keep you guessing till the very last page. It’s cruel sometimes but I wouldn’t have it any other way. A masterful piece of police thriller writing that is hard to beat. It will be interesting to see what life holds for all the characters in , what I sincerely hope, will be a next installment. I so thoroughly recommend this for your reading pleasure. Some reviewers will compare to other writers but for me, Robin is in a class of her own.
