Fashion buyer Prudence Washington's Thanksgiving dinner for the homeless is on the verge of fiasco when not enough volunteers show up. The situation goes from bad to worse when local NFL quarterback Michael "Speed" Hunter and his teammates arrive with their PR director in two. Speed thinks they're saving the day and doing Prudence a favor, but she doesn't appreciate the media circus and loudly lets him know it in front of news cameras. Her on-air outburst is mistaken for a lover's quarrel, and the public frenzy begins. Overnight, Prudence and Speed become the media's newest "it" couple, and fiction becomes fact when they give in to their feelings for each other. Unfortunately, the publicity has also made Prudence the target of a stalker. Speed does everything he can to protect her, but when all the clues begin to point to him, Prudence will have to dodge danger long enough to uncover the truth.

It had been awhile since I had read a book from this author, but I nor remember anybody love her books. I enjoyed reading about relationship between Prudence and Michael. I hope that stories will be written about Michael's friend Rick and Gabriel and also about Prudence's brothers as well.
This was a five from beginning to end. Prue and Michael were a perfect match. I enjoyed the love and friendship between Michael and his mother and the Washington boys and their mother and sister.
